To me there isn’t much more fascinating than deep sea creatures. Each and every one is perfectly evolved for its environment. So cool!
My personal favorite are the Siphonophores because they are all unique compositions of many little living things. Great list!
This is at least as far as I’m concerned, a *perfect* video. My mind, heart & spirit are simply full of joy & sheer wonder when I see this type of footage, such natural beauty is the ultimate escape. Fantastic picks, & the “strawberry squid” is new to me. ~Thanks to everyone involved!!
The production quality of this programming, as well as it s subjects, are just top notch! Well done all! Thanks
I just love the barreleye. It's my favorite hands down. It just looks so prehistoric looking.
"EVERYTHING HAS BEAUTY, BUT NOT EVERYONE SEES IT." -Confucius
That's the TRUTH 👌
Tell that to the barreleye fish.
8:38 The amount of evolutionary steps needed for creating that is just insane.
why does “Bloody Bell Comb Jelly” sound like the name of a children’s story from Victorian-era London
Great comparison! 👍👍
The curiosities of the deep sea will never cease to amaze me. Thanks so much for sharing this! As others have said, I would love to hear more from the team!
crazy that only 5% of the ocean is discovered
and crazy how people more interesting about outer space than deep ocean world, who knows we will found godzilla :V
@@adamhufz9790 Well I find both fascinating. I think the reason people are more interested in outer space though is the fact it's so vast we can barely comprehend it. that 95% (if that statistic is true) is nothing compared to what's possibly out there in deep space. The fact it's currently easier to track down deep sea creatures, I wish we did it more just to inspire us further though

All agenda. Shit u peep how the Mars rover just recorded a fly landing on the Mars rover. It's almost like the Mars rover is actually on earth... and in a location in Canada!
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to see what we would never have seen normally
It’s so stunningly beautiful
Watching stuff like this always reinforces my belief that no doubt, life in outer space is swimming with all types of creatures.

Animals are not creatures 😢
Awesome video. Thank you to all of the presenters for your passionate, precise and above all, simple lectures. All of the animals here are so cool. One of my favorite things in the ocean are cephalops and jellies, but I love them all anyhow.
fun fact about Phronima, it was actually the inspiration for the Xenomorphs in Alien! If you look at a closeup picture (which I'm disappointed they didn't include) it looks almost exactly like them.
The Bloody Belly Comb Jelly is my spirit animal...but I'd have a heart attack if I ever saw one. Awesome list
That video was the most fascinating and most interesting video that I've watched for a long way ! Thank you for creating this.
When you realize the creatures in Subnautica look more normal than the creatures in our own waters..
There’s even a chance that there are creatures identical to those of submautica
Eh, you ever seen a fish with four eyes in real life?
@@kytrensol9777 There's Anableps anableps, but they technically have two eyes divided into two, like that mummy girl.
Animals are not creatures 🤡 no one created them
DUDE THAT'S WHAT I'M SAYING!!!!!!
It's crazy how varied and beautiful the creatures of the sea are.
لا يمكنني ان اقول سوى سبحان الله الخالق البديع ❤❤❤
Thank you to the YT gods for your algorithms that brings me stuff like this! New new favorite channel!
I love how passionate these guys are! I just want to say that my favorite sea creature is the cuttlefish! It's so cute, smart and captivating!!!
MBARI has the most beautiful deep sea footage in the world!

"it has always bothered me- what's the point? how does this work?" me when thinking about mosquitoes and flies.
they are only here to not let us have a great time. “oh summer is a fun season? let us make it miserable”😩
What's the point of what
Me with nearly any bug.
I can actually be quite helpful here as I pride myself on a planned entomologist, I can't speak for flies, no one speaks for them, but mosquito females are the blood suckers and its actually something they do to marinade their eggs while waiting to have them fertilized, cuz it helps the eggs develop, im still not sure how, but that's my basic knowledge on the subject, what I know at this time.
Flies are decomposers and serve as prey for other animals like frogs
Who needs outer space to see aliens when theyre right in our oceans.
That’s what i tell people when they say aliens don’t exists. Like we’re literally living along side them
the dang Barreleye: "Necks?! never heard of them."
then again, no neck means no neck pains... this fish might be onto something.
The biodiversity of animals on this planet is truly amazing. Such a shame too many humans are ignorantly intent on wiping them out just to make money to satisfy their insatiable greed.
Deep sea life is so interesting and strange. It has to be thrilling to see these creatures in person.
I love how their eyes look like gems.
6:28 "I think they look like hearts." - Actually, they kinda look more like testicles ^^
lol yes

Bioluminescence What's that?
It's RGB BABY!
Except that's diffraction, not bioluminescence...
@@getsideways7257 At that depth in the ocean is there any light to begin with to cause diffraction.
What is the source of that light?
In case of diffraction of light in oceanic beings bodies the source of light must be the sun.
But at that depth does sunlight reach?
@@MOMMASBOY888 Ask ctenophora that... Maybe it wasn't intentional, maybe it's a mechanism to confuse light-emitting predators... I don't know, really. But the fact is a fact. And you can even see that it behaves like a credit card "hologram" or a CD's surface rather than, say, a glowstick.

The ocean is not ours. It’s theirs, and I hope it’ll stay like this forever
Amazing animals! Thank you so much for sharing these marvelous critters with the likes of yours truly, who will never get to see them in their natural habitat. Makes me appreciate our wonderful world even more.
I've never seen a creature with divergent eyes like that strawberry squid.
Chesterton talks about how the key to human anatomy is that we are a twin; that is, we are symmetrical. This may be the most explicit exception to that rule in the animal kingdom.
