Hey John, Thanks for watching and for dropping a comment. A constant trickle extractor fan alone won't significantly affect the overall temperature of a house.
Hi Dan, I'm looking to buy this fan following your advise. You mentioned that the fan stays on without the tenants knowing but how long does the fan stay on after the light which it connects to is switched off?
Hi Yasi, it’s great to hear from you thanks for watching the video. This fan type is a constant trickle fan meaning it’ll always be working behind the scenes, it will boost with the light of connected but then will return to its constant trickle speed when the light is turned off. I hope this helps
Hi, what does the trickle sound like because mine sounds like a faint rattle? Also had fitted your recommended cowl vent for outer wall. Should I be concerned as it’s just irritating rattle when on low or does it mean something ? Thanks
It didnt get the rattle. It comes with two slow speeds. The faster one can be easily heard if it's a quiet around and the slower one is very quiet. I failed to make the timer work though. So when the light goes off the fan goes to slow mode instantly.
Hi Dan have you ever used the fans that you install in the loft (Positive Input Ventilation)? I have a property with damp issues and I’m wondering if the fans you recommend which to try. Many thanks Dawn
Hey Dawn, Great to hear from you, I hope you are well. The fans I install can also be fitted in the ceilings, I think you are weighing up fans vs a PIV unit, personally I install the two fans (kitchen and bathroom) first and if it doesn't sort the issue (which hasn't happened yet) I`ll install a PIV unit in the loft. I have another video on damp where I mention the PIV units from memory. I hope this helps

Hey Alex, These are the same, thanks very much for pointing it out, I say EL300 in the video, they are actually EL1003 fans. I`ll have to update the video at some point. Sorry for the error on my part.
Er no you're talking poo it's not silent when constantly on and if you're fuel poor it's not going to help you're electric bill just the greedy landlord
Hello Lee, Hello Lee, Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Let me clarify a few points regarding the Vectaire Elegance EL1003 fan. This fan is designed to be energy-efficient, using approximately 6-8 watts when running continuously on its low setting. The annual cost of running the fan is estimated to be around £10-£15, depending on your electricity tariff. When the fan is correctly set up, it's nearly silent, and even those with normal hearing would struggle to hear the blades turning, even with their ear close to the unit. I hope this helps to clear up any concerns Have a lovely evening
Great idea but thinking out loud, by removing the air won’t that remove the warm air during the colder months making the house colder? Hmmm?
Hey John,
Thanks for watching and for dropping a comment.

Dan How do you take the front cover off
Hi,
You use a small screwdriver to push a clip in under the cover and then it pops off
I hope this helps
