You should try med school vlog like you vlog about you going to med school and how you get ready and when do you study so it's like " a day of a med school student" vlog where you talk about your daily routines 😁👌🏼🖤
Hi! I am going into my junior year of undergrad this fall. Great tips! I am currently working as a certified home health aide, and just got a position at a clinic as a volunteer scribe. Can't wait to gain more experience under my belt. Thanks for this helpful video
I don't understand how one could have enough time to get so many ECs in. Premed is pretty tough, aiming for a higher GPA leaves you with absolutely no extra time, it deprives you of sleep.
Hai.Jai. I have applied for Clinical Sciences as an undergrad. The university has requested to send what I had done for volunteering.I have done a doctor shadowing for few months. But pls guide me what should I provide to my uni and how should I write my volunteering experience so that I will be selected.Thank you Please can you reply. My uni has sent me a deadline.Just 3 days left.
Hey Jai! Two questions I'm wondering if you could answer for me: 1. first is kind of embarassing, but I'm low key sort of a slow/bad typer. I'm sure I could practice with it to get better/faster but would I already be at a huge disadvantage right now if I try to get a scribe job? I have other extracurriculars and job experience and such that I think could help me get the job but if I have to take a typing speed test or something I may be in trouble. 2. Were your science faculty letters very strong and from professors you knew very well? My struggle is I will have about 7 letters with 5 of them being strong letters from research, volunteer, shadowing, etc. but for my science letters, I was always in 50-300 person classes and usually didnt go to office hours so I will be asking for letters from two science faculty who will barely remember me. Do you think this will be a huge problem for my application? They at least are both professors who expressed willingness to their students to write letters, so I'm hoping they would still be okay. Anyways, thanks a lot, man! Sorry for the super long questions!
Okay so i’m going to be a freshman next year... in college. I have been volunteering at Boston Children’s Hospital for two years now, but like will that count toward med school? It will just end up being an other item on my resume. I like it there, but I think this is the late year they will let me do it because it is only open to teens. My question is: How will that experience impact my application in an way? Thank you!
can you please do a video about the med-school interview questions you and your friends received!!!!!! was it a panel interview ? ive heard some funny / weird questions !! ps love your channel :)
Jai, I am taking my MCAT on August 4th. So I should have my score by end of August. Do you think it is worth applying this cycle if rest of my application is decent?
Pritish Sahoo I actually took my MCAT August 18 and applied the same cycle. Just get your application completely done so once your score is ready you can submit your app, you should be good. Good luck!
Jai thank you for your quick response. So you are saying to wait till I get the score and then apply? I was thinking about applying as soon as I am done taking the exam and on the application, say that I will have my score in couple weeks. Do you think that is a good idea?
What do you mean by this cycle? I want to take the MCAT the end of summer this year (2020) and will apply for the 2021 cycle (early application in April or May). I thought that should be more than enough time but now I'm not sure.
Hi! Just found your channel. I am going to college in August and will major in chem. I have many credits so I’ll graduate a year early. I wanted to ask that I got a scribe job offered from ScribeAmerica do you think it’s a good one like you have to be committed there for 2 years and I forgot how much they pay do you remember yours? Also where are you from or your heritage? Anyways great videos!! Good luck in med school :)
Fiza E they say its for two years but I opted out after a year. The pay was pretty bad (I think around $10) but in my opinion I was doing it for the experience anyways so the pay wasn’t a concern. And I’m Afghan!
I can’t believe that your phone was actually stolen. Why didn’t you back up your vlog on iCloud??😐. Also, how can someone be so smart and yet be so stunning? I am clueless. Also, love all your videos. I was going to request this topic anyway. Super glad your made this video Jai (:
Ok, that totally sounds like something I would do. you should have find my phone option on too. I am really glad you're not sad and gotta new ph and moved on lol. Maybe, you'll go and visit again! You're very welcome

Hi Dear My son is doing his BSc. 3rd year in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo. He has taken the following courses on top of his own degree requirements. - First year biology lab - Second general chemistry - English - Second physics course This semester, he is taking organic chemistry, a first year chemistry lab and a second English course. He is doing this because he thought he needed to take these courses for medical school admissions but is now very overwhelmed as they have been hurting his GPA. Please advise if these additional courses are necessary for his admission. I will greatly appreciate your help.
Can volunteering at a Blood Donation Center be considered a PreMed Volunteer experience? Also, Is working as a Plehbotomist show as an optional choice of taking medicine seriously and interest?
I started volunteering in the first year of undergrad. I did research in the beginning of 3rd year and started scribing at the end of 3rd year until the end of 4th year

This guy is a whole snack
Any advice for going into BSTs for ScribeAmerica? Would be much appreciated, thank you!
did you do all your volunteers, especially scrbing during the summer or during school days?
I did both. I don’t think there’s enough time to get a significant amount of EC’s in if you’re only doing them in the summer
Hi Jai. I really enjoy your videos. They are really helpful, thank you.
I was wondering, what is scribing? If that's what you're saying.
So, beauty and brains is in men too
Did you do scribing during the school year?
What hair product do you use ?
I keep switching but right now I'm using Pacinos Matte

Pritish Sahoo well even if you finish your application, you can’t submit it without a score. You can only submit once the score is available
Gotcha! Did not know that. Thank you!!
