Thank you for this video! Got me thinking about my fear of calculus, and how easily taking it could tank my GPA. Glad to have found out most medical schools don't require it, including my dream school. Thank god I don't want to go to Harvard

What was your SAT/ACT? Do you believe that those who have higher scores tend to do better on the pre med track? My SAT is not great, but everything else checks out fine (GPS, extracurriculars, volunteer hours, AP Scholar, etc.) I guess what I'm asking is, can those who do not do good on the SAT or ACT still make it to med school?

    • @meronteklu7935

You most definitely can. Your MCAT score definitely matters more than your SAT/ACT score. Worry about getting into college before med school.

Hi I have a question so, I’m majoring in pre-health science and I have every intention to be very school driven with no distractions because I just really want to be successful, so what are some tips that you have as for college life while being a pre health student? Also, are you already in med school?

I’m applying to college this year and I’m struggling deciding a major but I know for sure that I’ll be on the pre med program
I’m interested in psychology but also biology ?

You can do either, as long as you take the appropriate classes need for whatever medical schools you plan to apply to!

Hey girl, I have a question. I plan on majoring in biochemistry for a pre-med track and I’m debating between two schools at the moment. Are two schools are Penn State Main Campus or SUNY Geneseo and I really like both schools, but I really love Penn State. The only thing holding me back from choosing is the price difference between the schools and I don’t want to be financially struggling prior to med school. Geneseo’s yearly cost is about 27k compared to Penn States almost 50k, which is a pretty different price point. I really am not sure what my best option is and if it would look better if I go to Penn State. Do you have any thoughts on this? I want to succeed and not have the price of tuition stand in my way from achieving my best :)

Hey girl! I’m going into pre-med too, and I would choose the school that is cheaper and gives you the most money. That’s what I’m doing. It will not be worth it to be in more debt just for a “name” and prestige. At the end of the day, college will be what you make it. If you are a good student, it wouldn’t matter what college you went to. Med schools and other opportunities will see that you are a well-rounded student, and, as long as you are going to bring them success, they don’t really care where you went to school. Remember, the person makes the school, not the other way around. Follow your heart and make a pros and cons list. If you have less debt in undergraduate, you’ll have an easier time paying off medical school debt. So, don’t just think about how this decision will affect you now, think about how it will affect you in the future- financially and personally. Good luck!
