I have Zildjian ZBT cymbals at church but i definitely would go with the Zildjian A Custom... Zildjian A Custom Cymbals gives it that crisp and over the top vibe.
The materials are different i mean the tin content. The ZBT is B8 bronze while A Customs are B20, which should sound different. But i like them both, ZBT especially because i grew up hitting them so much. The quality is very good for the price i would say. A Customs are warm, but never have i owned high end cymbals in my life, i've hit them in shows and that's it. Good and positive comparison video sir. 👍👍
I used to destroy zbts all the time. More expensive cymbals are much less prone to cracking because they’re more flexible. That’s why some high end cymbals can be ridiculously thin and still last.

Bought a ZBT 13 hat bottom for 19 USD as I could find nothing else second hand. I'm from South Africa BTW.... The two together sounds amazing. Exceeded my expectations.

Zildjian zbt symbols, and sabian b8 both have high amounts of a cheaper type of bronze. They're also not made with as much care as higher equity cymbals are. The Zildjian K Custom Dark series are very nice for a thin cymbal that's easy to open up with a quick decay. In my opinion, I like the thinner cymbals with a darker sound - but a nice clicky high hat always sounds good in metal and punk music.
Different stroke for different folks. It depends on what your playing and the sound you're looking for. I would have both for my set because I like to have multiple tones with my cymbals. But that's just me

They're honestly too different to choose a clear winner or favourite. The first one (left) has a warm, low resonance that rings pretty nicely, as well as a good wide spread of frequencies, which would work really nicely in plenty of circumstances. The second one (right) has a nice sizzling crisp to it, and is a bit more focused in its resonance, but also has a more dirty and blended feel to it.
First rule of symbols is the same rule guitars. Every individual one is different regardless of what it says on it as for my opinion between the two, that a sounds more like a zbt then a freaking then zbt . I like grabbing a bunch of wuhan's in bulk of all the same symbol, spoiler alert, they're all different, you can buy like 20 of them for the price of the zbt. I definitely do not know it all, I'm just sharing what I've learned from trial and error

They're not a total waste, you can make decent trash cymbals or stacks or other effect cymbals out of cheap ones. Nice rydeen though. Actually one of my favorite kits, even toured with one. They're cheap, sound awesome, and they're nice and compact.
I liked ZBTs they were nice but they would crack so easy. I love zildjian S seriesfor budget cymbals they are the biggest boom bang pow 💥 for your buck 🤘🏼

ZBTs are so thin. A Customs have a much fuller sound. The price tag doesn't lie. This video is pretty dumb.

Another big factor that we're not even seeing is how big is the damper that the symbols are sitting on that plays a huge factor in attack and sustain
16 inch crashes are falling out of favor with me. That’s why the next on my list is a 18 or 19 inch a custom projection crash.
You can also modify those older thick cymbals, because you may have more metal to cut or hammer on.
