- In this video I unbox, assemble and take a detailed look at the new Kress 60v dual stage snow blower model #KG471 that comes equipped with 4 - 5.0Ah batteries included. The Kress snow thrower is 24" wide and has an intake depth of up to 17.7" allowing for a snow throw distance of up to 53'. The unit comes equipped with 2 brushless motors allowing independent speed control of the self propel system as well as separate control of the augur speed, and is rated to be able to clear the equivalent of a 21 car driveway with 8" deep snow on the full charge of only 2 of the included 4 batteries.

Yes I’m looking forward to testing it out. The noise level may just be the fact it was in the enclosed small space of a garage. I can’t remember how loud the other single stage unit I tested last year was. Will be interesting to get this unit out especially on those days where we had snow followed be freezing rain and the snow built a 1/4” layer of Ice crust on top. The single stage unit was not happy that day. 😂 Thanks for watching.
Looks nice. You can send it to me to try , we just got dumped on. LOL.. I wonder does the commercial units over the prosumer units come with a metal snow chute? I like how quite it is.
Hopefully we get some snow so I can test it out. I’m hopeful. We’ve been getting snow more and more each year and last year we had lots. This is the only snow blower Kress makes. They don’t have a commercial model yet. I’d also like to see them put out a single stage version as well. Maybe next year possibly. You never know. Thanks for watching.
Man I really wish Kress made their own snowblower. This is just a rebadged 100V SnowJoe 24in 2 Stage with blue parts painted red.
Very similar but not exactly the same. Looks like they share some main common snowblower components, but the motor and batteries are completely different of course because so is the voltage. Also even the front metal shroud that houses the auger is slightly different. The other one has the words snow Joe embossed in the metal. So the Kress version is different in that sense, and not an exact swap. I wonder if snow Joe is affiliated with the Kress parent company Positec. I know they have a few different brands under their umbrella. Thanks for watching.
Thats a lot of plastic for 2 grand.
It is a prosumer model not full commercial. But in comparison to my gas 2 stage craftsman unit that I used commercially other than the obvious motor housing being plastic on the battery powered unit vs the metal gas engine, the chute and the buttons and controls is the only other things that I can notice. The frame, the whole front end snow intake including the augers, the handles and wheels, etc are all metal. Plus you get the convenience of battery power. Instant on, lower noise, and no maintenance or gas to deal with. No gummed up carburetor when you go to use it again next year.
