My sons CVS was finally SOLVED! 🙏
It’s completely healed now. It was not a stomach disorder like his gastroenterologist thought. Instead, by a fluke, at a new ER, they ran more tests and after imaging his kidneys they found a polyp in his ureter (the tube leading from his kidney to his bladder) that would occasionally block the flow of urine, where it would build up in his kidney and cause excruciating stomach pain (really it was kidney pain that he felt in his stomach) and vomiting. The polyp was removed and he has never had a single episode now in years! I know this may not solve everyone’s CVS, but I hope it will point some of you toward other potential downstream organs, not just the gastro region.

I’ve had CVS for 30 years in a episode right now.. hate it so much like it won’t go away!! I just want it to stop!!!!!!!!!!! I’m 37 now almost 38 and still hasn’t stopped!!!! Thinking about anyone suffering right now as I am.. season change gets me also started my period and my depression isn’t controlled so I’m just at a extreme low right now.. I had the best GI Dr.. Dr miner out of Oklahoma City Oklahoma.. he retired and it’s been so hard finding anyone that is willing to really study what I have..

Try the CVS association for list of doctors that treat CVS. Good luck! I hate CVS too. Mine started three years ago with 3-7 episodes a year. I’m trying CoQ10 and L Carnitine which helps too.

Those meds don’t work on me.. I have a med routine that keeps me out of the hospital a lot now.. I just hate when people associate marijuana with CVS.. I’ve had it since I was a child before I ever knew about weed.. most of us get it young when you get it young it’s worse and so hard to control.. I was 7 diagnosed at age 12 with CVS.. and have suffered the whole time.. I’m thankful for my meds that try to keep me out of the hospital.. thinking about y’all who are suffering also.. more Research needs to happen.. and they need to stop adding marijuana to us that have had this since childhood all my drs tell me to smoke it and I do it helps SOOOOOO much for nausea.. have a good weekend y’all

Take a hot shower or get in a hot tub. If you have some opiates take those too.

The only associate is 40% of patients with Cyclic Vomiting who have migraine variant medication tolerant episodes use cannabis to relieve their symptoms and therefore more patients with thc and CVS to doctors is causation. It is an anti emetic and the government has a patent for how it works to relieve migraine and other symptoms on a chemical level. it’s so sad in our community to be disregarded when I went a year episode free in a legalized state and use it to abort my episodes. If cannabis makes someone sick then stopping it would stop the sickness and there’s no other issue it’s CHS not CVS

How did you get a diagnosis, how long have you had it? My son is 6 and I think this is what he has. It started around 6 weeks ago. He's sick every week.

@@samanthabrown5853 I had went to my physician which directed me to a specialist and I went to a gastritis specialist which was the 4th or 5th gastritis specialist that I had seen she actually listened to what I was saying said I think this is what it is and this is what we can try . It works to a point but not all the way

      Sonny is right!
      Find yourself a good gastroenterologist!
He'll have to have an endoscopy to be diagnosed correctly, if they don't do this, they may not be the right one for the job!
Find another, ask for recommendations in your area!
I know a good one in Oregon!
Older folks may be the key to finding a good one, you don't see many young people in that office! 😉
      Good luck!

I have cvs had it for years episodes every week emergency room every week for a blm cocktail lost 40 pounds look like death 💀 couldn’t hold a job I was miserable and I wanted to give up. Tried so many medication nothing worked until my new doctor gave me nortriptyline 25 mil and I was like this shit not going to work and after a week it was working I was soooooooo happy. I’ve been taking it ever since. I have episodes still but rarely I gained 60 pounds of muscle 💪 who ever reads this tell your doctor you need nortriptyline. ASAP because you have bad nerves in your stomach and it helps the nerves it will give you your life back.
