Thanks! I'm going to be making yogurt tonight with whole milk, but in the future its good in case all I have is half-n-half. Maybe I'll add some for added creaminess!
This is great, I love your concise videos! I'm new to yogurt making and since I'm low carb and prefer heavy cream or half and half was wondering if I could substitute for whole milk. I'll start with half and half and try cream later once I've mastered the basics. :)
@@pchinnIII Can't tell if it's worth the cost. If I make yogurt, I always use half and half. It comes out very rich and creamy. In my experience, there's no need to strain it - it's already quite thick. Use your favorite store bought brand for starter. I like Fage.
I tried to make yogurt with half/half (Great Value brand) but it didn't set AT ALL. The end product was like I did not to it at all. It didn't even taste at all cultured/sour. Anyone have any advice? I've been making IP yogurt FOR YEARS and have never had a problem but I've always used milk & strained it.
I can’t wait to try full half and half yogurt! Tonight I’m using 1/2 gallon of whole milk and 1 quart of 1/2 and half.

the whole point of this video should have been to compare this yogurt with whole milk yogurt. what was the end product like?
The point of my video was to find out if yogurt could be made with half and half.
The end product is shown at the end of the video.
🤗
@@clearingclutterforclarity1508 So was it creamer than whole milk? Did you think it was worth the extra cost? Would you use half n half again?
