New sub. Binge watching...u want male nudity? There's a movie I saw that had it. If I remember it, I'll let ya know lol. It's not a horror movie though.
I mean, I think the vast majority of us who've seen these movies a million times can't wait for them to get to Jason X lol I personally can't wait for Part VII which is my personal favorite (besides Jason X) because, yeah.
can't wait for part 7. the beginning of Kane Hodder my favourite Jason. He made a record for longest uninterrupted fire stunt on camera that caused severe burns but continued to play Jason and was awesome to meet in person.
Absolutely. Kane Hodder really created an intimidating presence as Jason and if course part 7 was quite epic in its own right due to the story aspect. Intriguing about the fire stunt. I have to look into that one again.
Kane Hodder was NOT burned/harmed by the stunt he did at the end of Part 7. He was burned when he messed up a stunt for a news program back in the 70s (and didn't have a team to take care of him). He's talked about this at length. He was absolutely fine and safe with what he did in Part 7.

Thanks again for info.
When they show the dead killer, you can see he had a latex bald mask on under the hockey mask that ripped open when impaled. His mask & Tommy's at the end are not the same as Jason's. The ending is cool. They will address this in the next movie.
Well they would have addressed it in the next movie, if John Shepherd didn't walk away from the role of Tommy. However, him walking away from being Tommy again, did save the lives of the other two survivors of this film. They were both gonna die in Part 6. Those two characters got saved from being killed off because the actors playing them, Melanie Kinnaman, and Shavar Ross, were considered a package deal with John Shepherd, and thus were not hired back when John walked away from the role of Tommy in Part 6.
Part 7 is the best one. It’s also the first time, Kane Hodder, dones the mask as Jason and from then on. The term ‘Unstoppable Jason’ was coined, and Jason never looked so good, and menacing. Also ‘The New Blood’, has some pretty cool kills. Can’t wait till you guys do Part 7!
The one thing that's often overlooked in this film is that the original "Jason" mask had red accents. The mask in this film had blue accents, which was a dead giveaway that it wasn't really Jason. I'm just waiting for part 6 now. Can't wait! Another wonderful reaction to this classic series by the beautiful Tara and Roxy!!!❤❤
Most notably, Jason's mask does have the red marks in Tommy's visions, so you can't just write it off as the standard subpar continuity of this franchise.
@@MAMoreno I guess that I should've elaborated a bit more, but my point was that Jason wasn't the actual killer in this one, just a copycat. The hockey mask accents are what gave it away. That actually fits with the films continuity instead of going against it.

He also was in Return Of The Living Dead (1985) and that movie also had Thom Matthews in it too - who would play Tommy Jarvis in Friday The 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (1986) 😉
The producers wanted to go "who done it" then Tommy... but the audience didn't take to it... that's why Part 6 is called "Jason Lives" in 1986. The New Blood in 1988, Jason Tanks Manhattan in 1989 and Jason Goes to Hell in 1993. It's a little weird after that with Jason X in 2001 and Freddy Vs Jason in 2003 is backward because technically, timeline wise is goes Freddy Vs Jason is first set in 2003 then Jason X which takes place in 2455
The movie is goofing on the New Agey BS that was being pushed about mental health care and recovery in the 70's and 80's.... Believe it or not, IRL there were hippie types and such who would give a nutcase an axe for 'therapy". The guy who runs this place in the movie says to Tommy, "we're not your typical facility".
@TaraErickson Just in case ur curious & didn't know this, the recaps were put into the 2nd & 3rd movies cause the 3rd was the first of the movies that actually got a worldwide theatrical release and the first 2 movies were only on VHS or Beta systems & not even aired on TV cause of ratings systems at the time. Not everyone could own these systems as they were very expensive at that time, so to reach more viewers the recaps were included.❤💞❤️

Don't worry Tara... we'll be out of the campgrounds soon enough. Keep watching. lol Part 6 is my Favorite. Also, Miguel Nunez jr is "Juawanna Mann". React to that movie. Lol
🪦🧟♂️ oh yeah, one other thing, the whole premise in the movie cabin in the Woods of teenagers going on a trip to a secluded cabin is completely based on this particular franchise.
They changed the prologue because the original one was too expensive and the new one took less time to shoot. They only had Corey Feldman for one day if I remember correctly.
The actor you were looking up was in “Life” with Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence. “Don’t be scurred” was his line everyone used to repeat. He was also in “Harlem Nights”.
What are things I always enjoyed about the Friday the 13th franchise is that they’re opening sequence with the title is always a smash in your face explosion. It’s not real subtle. It’s just bam.!!!!
Debi Sue Voorhees later on ran into similar issues because of her nude scene here. If I remember correctly she was 'fired' from two teaching jobs because students had looked her up online and found out about it.
As I’m following these wonderful in depth reactions, I’m realizing each film in this franchise really has its own unique flavor. They actually returned to the original aspect with the murder mystery this time out, and who doesn’t love a troubled hero chalk full of PTSD:)
People in their early 20's used to look A LOT older than they do now. Probably the secondhand smoke that was everywhere before the late 90's indoor smoking bans.
This film is officially set in 1989. The film came out in. 1985 but they needed a time jump because Corey Feldman was busy filming The Goonies. Tommy was 12 in Part 4 which takes place on 1984(along with parts 2 & 3). So Tommy is officially 17 in this film. In Friday the 13th The Game, the Pinehurst map was originally captioned to be in 1986 but an eagle eyed fan(me) told the devs it doesn't match with Tommy's age so they moved it to 1989). 39:40 The actress who played Pam said she was very proud of her nipples in this movie. 47:56 Roy wore a rubber Jason head under the hockey mask.
If you girls were paying attention Roy had a prosthetic bald cover on his head. You can see it in the last shot of his face when he is lying on the spikes.
17:40 Tara: called it, thats what i wouldve done😁 Roxy: 👀 Love Tara getting into the slasher spirit of predicting how kills are gonna go....hahaha😅...😳
@@jamesmorant1406That is part of the reason why I rewrote the script, so that Roy DOES kill Vic (offscreen, he is also a red herring to make the audience believe that he was the killer all along). I also have Tommy see a hallucination of Jason right before each kill, giving the impression that Tommy might be the killer. In the end it's still Roy, but I had him watching Joey from afar for years (lots of photos of Joey growing up in his wallet instead of just one of him taken the same year he died). Makes his mental break a little more believable.
@@jamesmorant1406 Yeah, but it would have required cutting back on the number of deaths shown. I cut out the two greasers at the beginning, Billy and Lana at the diner, and the homeless guy. This lead to cutting out the scene of the paramedics and police cleaning up the first crime scene, and the mayor's rant about how small towns are supposed to be safe and that Jason Voorhees is dead and cremated. This gives us more run time for devoting to the creation of suspense and character development. Unfortunately, the writers and director had to do what the studio executives told them. And the studio wanted a cheap jump scare or a kill (preferably a kill) once every five to seven minutes. I swear, you can practically set your watch by the pacing of the jump scares and kills in this movie. Which doesn't leave you with a lot of time to build suspense.
The director of this movie directed pornography films, I think too. Which after watching, makes sense. Lol also, the next film is my favorite. I can’t wait to see the shejects reaction! ❤
As you can see when Roy is on the tractor harrow/spikes, he has a latex hood on like the ones used by some of the stuntmen/actors who played Jason. Seeing that on Roy's head is what first indicated to me how they do that in the movies.
The EMT Roy was wearing a bald prosthesis to look more like Jason. Our first clue, which I missed the first time, is when Tommy sees him he has the red. Barnes had the blue. Great review
Great reaction again ladies! 🎉 This was my fiirst time seeing this movie too and it definitely was up and down in some spots. I still can't beleive this is only halfway through this series, but I'm here for it! I'll be back next week!
The actress who plays Violet in this film is the daughter of actress Brooke Bundy, who played the mom of Kristen Parker from A Nightmare on Elm Street parts 3 and 4.
Miguel A. Núñez Jr. (Demon) & Mark Venturini (Victor) both were in "Return of the Living Dead" (1985) along with actor Thom Mathews. Thom Mathews will star in one of the upcoming Friday the 13th movies that you will be reacting in the future (Friday the 13th fans: if you know, you know.)
Wanting a Friday movie not in a camp setting is like wanting a Freddy movie without nightmares or Chucky without dolls...hunting camp grounds is Jason's whole schtick the whole reason he kills is because they're on his camp ground.
So you ladies liked that the movie has a higher body count, but you're disappointed that it wasn't as scary as the other movies. Well, im afraid that you can't have it both ways. Crafting a scary movie requires the development of tension and suspense. That takes time. If your entire run time is devoted to gory kills and cheap jump scares, like this one was, then you're not going to have the time to develop any suspense. Not without losing at least five death scenes and a couple of scenes of dialogue, which will be replaced with scenes of building tension and different dialogue (which provides character development).
We love our Shejects!!!! This has quickly become one of my favorite channels. I instantly hit play on these videos. This video is so bright and colorful. Loving it!!!!💗💗💗
A big thing you’ll notice with 1980’s horror (especially slasher series like Friday the 13th and Halloween) is they try to introduce multiple characters to make a higher body count and show off practical effects. It does tend to feel choppy and all over the place. Sadly a lot of footage gets cut since this was the 80’s and censorship was becoming very big by then so there are a lot of scenes where we don’t get to see the full thing because of those overly gory practical effects.
The movie they're watching at 34:16 -- A Place In The Sun (1951) starring Elizabeth Taylor, and the Old Hollywood heart throb you see rowing is actually Montgomery Clift! The lady in the boat with him is Shelly Winters. Honestly, consider watching it, it's FANTASTIC. That they used that clip within Friday the 13th felt like a broad and meta homage (won't spoil it, but the scene def has suspense/thriller overtones, and the murky water/boat is a nice touch within a Jason Vorheese movie).
Fun fact, the actor that played Victor was good friends with the actor that played Joey. In Joey‘s death scene, he almost didn’t want to kill him. Also, it is weird that he technically got off scot-free in this movie. Sure he’s incarcerated for murder but when Joey‘s father went on a murder spree, he pretty much killed mostly everyone except the person that actually killed his son.
59:42 Sorry, but it doesn't work that way. The MPAA was HARSH towards 80s slasher films in terms of violence, especially by this point. Pretty much ALL slasher films of the era got cut for violence to avoid "X" ratings. By contrast, female nudity appeared in PG-13 films of the era (Back to School and The Wraith being examples).
The blonde girl who was dancing in her room, her real mom is the women who played Kristen’s mother in A Nightmare On Elm Street 3 and 4. I guess their relationship was a bit like the relationship was portrayed in Elm Street.

Also one of the directors of the previous one.
And Sean Cunningham himself started in soft core
36:50 This is the first time I've ever seen anyone say anything negative about Violet. She's a fan favorite!
Nobody ever becomes the new Jason, Jason is Jason
As you can see when Roy is on the tractor harrow/spikes, he has a latex hood on like the ones used by some of the stuntmen/actors who played Jason. Seeing that on Roy's head is what first indicated to me how they do that in the movies.
The EMT Roy was wearing a bald prosthesis to look more like Jason. Our first clue, which I missed the first time, is when Tommy sees him he has the red. Barnes had the blue. Great review
45:49 You guys FINALLY realized "Jason" in this movie was actually EMT Roy Burns.
We all need a friendship like you two. 😂❤ Hope you had a great birthday Roxy!
Great reaction again ladies! 🎉
This was my fiirst time seeing this movie too and it definitely was up and down in some spots. I still can't beleive this is only halfway through this series, but I'm here for it!
I'll be back next week!
No! it wasnt these two are the worst at reacting to movies of the 80s and 90s.
The actress who plays Violet in this film is the daughter of actress Brooke Bundy, who played the mom of Kristen Parker from A Nightmare on Elm Street parts 3 and 4.
Can't wait for Part 6 as it's my favourite of the franchise! It's the most self-aware and fun movie of the bunch. (in my opinion)
I unapologetically love this one. It was my most watched growing up and as much as I love 4 and 6 this one is genuinely the most entertaining.
We definitely love you two, definitely my favorite duo on this channel
love this franchise thank you for this trip with you two can't wait for you react to Friday the 13th killer cut 2009
Miguel A.
The "eye" thing is a euphemism about the last thing that you see is death. 39:59
22:34 Hold on, Rox done got her nose dirty before. 😂😂😂👃🏻❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
10:12 had me rollin'. Spit my drink out my nose!
Love the Friday the 13th reactons! All the horror we can get! You girls rock!🤙🏾
Yes yes yes 🔪🔪🔪
@2:55 “Manhattan” lol
Wanting a Friday movie not in a camp setting is like wanting a Freddy movie without nightmares or Chucky without dolls...hunting camp grounds is Jason's whole schtick the whole reason he kills is because they're on his camp ground.
Oooo, to be so early! Love to see y'all seeing this franchise through the whole way.
🎉🎉🎉
i cant wait for you guys to watch the next one
My very first tattoo is a giant Jason Lives Jason on my forearm. Part 6 is the absolute GOAT
The guy that played grown up Corey Feldman is John Shephard who in this movie was 25 but was playing a 17 year old
So you ladies liked that the movie has a higher body count, but you're disappointed that it wasn't as scary as the other movies.
It's my opinion that these ladies don't know what they want.
Yeah buddy Happy Thursday for me😊 why because my 2 favorite scream queens 👸 are back once again. Great reaction ❤
We love our Shejects!!!! This has quickly become one of my favorite channels. I instantly hit play on these videos. This video is so bright and colorful. Loving it!!!!💗💗💗
Yay!!!! I love this !!!!
Obsessed ❤
You can tell when it's Roy Burns cus his hockey mask has blue markings instead off the red markings on Jasons hockey mask
“I just wanna see more people fight back”….. wait till you see the boxer in Jason takes Manhattan 😂
47:57 it’s because he was wearing a mask under the hockey mask . One of those masks that you put over your head
Parts 6 and 7 are two of my favorites. Sheject-Nation y'all rock 🤘
30:52 The most iconic line from this movies. 😂😂😂
Part VI is the best. Probably my favourite ‘bad-good’ movie of them all.
Roy was wearing a bald cap/hood, you can see it around his face at the end. Same thing jason cosplayers use
Can’t want for the next one my favorite oldie of the series. Getting close to Freddy VS Jason 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪
Next week it's Killed or Be Killed in Pt:6
I can't wait til you get til 7. When Jason not only has his best look but the best foe. Its so good. I can't wait.
Jason Lives is my favourite in the series!!! I’m so excited for next week 😊
Can't wait for you to get to part 7. That's when someone finally fights back.
Terra got them Dora vibes with the backpack in the beginning of the video 😂
59:42 Sorry, but it doesn't work that way. The MPAA was HARSH towards 80s slasher films in terms of violence, especially by this point. Pretty much ALL slasher films of the era got cut for violence to avoid "X" ratings. By contrast, female nudity appeared in PG-13 films of the era (Back to School and The Wraith being examples).
Love the fact these two came up with a better murder plot involving Pam
The blonde girl who was dancing in her room, her real mom is the women who played Kristen’s mother in A Nightmare On Elm Street 3 and 4. I guess their relationship was a bit like the relationship was portrayed in Elm Street.
