Working with you yet again has been an honor buddy! I felt so confident when making my video, but it's just a grain of sand compared to this entire desert! It's like I've said earlier, your videos ain't just about the music anymore, but your visuals is straight up it's own journey! Thanks for another awesome banger :)

Avo!! Thank _you_ for the opportunity to work on another track together - as always, it's been an honor and a privilege. ^_^ Looking over my videos from 2024, I realized that I'll have made more collaborative remixes than solo ones, which I think is awesome, and goes to show how lucky I am to be involved with so many talented and passionate people in the VGM community. ❤‍🔥
It makes me happy to see people in the comments mentioning your parts in particular, from the sick leads to the next-level drumming. Indeed, your lead synths - as well as the supporting ones - are just too good, and I love the unique timbre and vibrance they have. There's something so in-your-face about the lead instruments you choose that puts them in a category of their own, and they're perfect for high-energy battle themes like this one. But not to discount your supporting parts, like those lovely arpeggios at 0:32 and 1:45, or the cool countermelodies in the retro segment - I feel like our melodic parts worked beautifully in tandem here. And of course, I can't not talk about your drums... like, dude, how do you even?! The fills, the lead-ins, the switch-ups... and the whole thing is so rhythmically dense, with a variety of grooves and variations. The drum kit you use is so powerful, yet clean, and the use of varying types of cymbals and toms makes it sound so dynamic, like the kit is being utilized to its full extent. You're a master drum programmer, seriously!
Thanks so much for the feedback regarding the video, as well! This one took close to 15 hours in the ZGameEditor Visualizer alone, with some time spent in other programs like Pixlr modifying and preparing the images, so I'm glad that the time investment shows! I really do love to make these videos, and I'm incredibly lucky to have a partner that's willing and eager to make art assets for each video - not to mention that her help in planning the video concepts is invaluable, as well! I realize the interactive visuals are a big part of the appeal for this channel, so Kali and I decided years ago to go all-in with each video and try to make it as engaging as we can manage. And I want to also express my gratitude for your interest in using her artwork in your video, as well!
Again, it's been an awesome experience working with you, and I'm already psyched for our 2025 collab - I'll see you around, my friend! 🪽🏹

Heyy, thanks so much, BakiReggie! Reading your comment really put a big smile on my face, and I'm delighted to hear that you enjoyed the remix video so much. 😊
I appreciate your mention of the portrait artwork and the dialogue especially - my partner Kali and I are really happy with how those aspects came out, and I feel like the constant exchange between Pit, Dark Pit, and Palutena really helped drive the video concept. I really enjoy putting these videos together, and this one in particular was a blast to create, as this game is one of my all-time favorites!
And thank you also for your kind words regarding the music. It was a privilege to be able to work with AvoCado Tunes on this, and I agree that the Kid Icarus: Uprising OST doesn't get covered enough in general. I've loved this song since I first heard it, and it was a dream come true to be able to create a remix video for it!
Thanks again for taking an interest in this channel! ^_^

I swear, the writing in this game is too good, and the number of memorable/quotable lines is unreal. I'm really happy to hear that you liked the retro-styled segment in particular, as that was a lot of fun to work on, and I wanted to have a throwback to the OG NES title. 😁

The quality is INSANE! These type of retro leads are something that I truly adore and the overall mixing and mastering is awesome to say the least. The retro-inspired breakdown section is such a wonderful idea, and it's not only amazing musically, but also visually. I truly love the attention to details that you put in your visuals. Seriously, I never heard of this theme before, but that made me fall in love with it. Outstanding job!

DarlingJack, thanks so much!! Your feedback always means a great deal to me, and I hugely appreciate your taking the time to comment on specific aspects of the remix.
I'm delighted to hear that you enjoyed the leads in particular here! AvoCado's lead instrumentation is always so solid, and it was awesome being able to work in tandem with his lead and supporting synths. His signature lead sound is also quite unique in that it sounds retro, yet modern, so it fits perfectly into just about any high-energy mix. Speaking of which, I'm very happy that you liked the retroized segment, as well! It's sort of become a yearly occurrence now to have at least one remix with a "time warp" moment that goes old-school and breaks down the sound! 😁
And thank you for your mention of the visuals - Kali and I are grateful that you always take the time to comment on them in particular. 😊 A few years ago, I made the decision to try and put as much time and energy into making the visuals dynamic and interactive as I can manage, and I feel it's become more important than ever for the identity of the channel, and for (I hope) making the videos more engaging to watch! Feedback like yours furthers the motivation I have to keep improving in both the music and visual domains, so thanks again for that!
There's still another remix of yours that I'd very much like to comment on, and I'm hoping to have an opportunity to do that in the near future. Until then, my friend! 💛

Thank you, FlameCheese! I'm really happy to hear that you liked this one, and it's awesome to hear that you felt the narrative really drove the visuals here. One of the best aspects about Kid Icarus: Uprising, in my opinion, is the dialogue; it's so well-written, and the voice acting is top-tier, so I wanted to capture a bit of that magic in the video here. Most of the script is adapted from the original writing, but I had the opportunity to include some original lines which I hoped would fit the style of the game. 😁
Thanks again for your unrelenting support and enthusiasm - it seriously means the world! 💛

Equalyze and AvoCado, you guys went WILD and manifested such a FANTASTIC remix! I love the high energy levels that you guys brought out in this!
From the get go, that intro is the PERFECT introduction to this remix as it escalates to that PROMINENT lead, PUMPING low brass, and FIRE percussion! And the support that the bassline brings is the cherry on top! I've got to mention the section at 0:52 and again at 2:05 in particular, as it is such a powerful highpoint with that beautiful melody! And that retro part at 1:13 is such a cool change in pace! And I LOVE the fact that the visuals pixilate for that section! As well as the characters in the dialogue! And the story told in the dialogue is so creative and entertaining! I am absolutely blown away by another PHENOMENAL production! Kali's art is stellar as always!
This whole production is so INSANELY GOOD! I cannot get enough of it! This will be in the playlist for a long time for sure! Great work on this one you three! :D

Man, Steel, your comments always bring me so much joy to read - from the bottom of my heart, thank you! ❤‍🔥 It was a privilege and an honor, sincerely, to work with AvoCado on this piece, as it's something we had first talked about over a year ago, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. ^_^
It's exciting to hear that the intensity and energy that Avo put into the music came across as we had hoped - thank you for that! At times, I struggle to make captivating intros when a song doesn't have one built in, but for a piece like this, it's a treat, where the original intro just kicks things into gear superbly. And _huge_ credit goes to AvoCado for his amazing drum work, which drive the piece from the tom fill at the start to the very last cymbal crash - the man is seriously brilliant when it comes to programming drum parts, and I really don't know how he does it in every. dang. remix. 😅
Thank you so much for your remarks regarding the instrumentation! Between Avo and myself, there were almost 30 unique non-percussive parts alone, and it's really encouraging to see you comment on certain ones specifically. I often worry that pieces with greater instrumental density will get muddied up, so for this remix in particular, more time than usual was spent on the mixing and processing of parts - so happy to see that it paid off! That synth guitar lead has become a favorite of mine, and it was sort of a lucky development in finding the right combination of parameters for the "Darkstar Metal Feedback" (in FLEX's Essential Guitars library) in tandem with a chain of effect plugins, most notably FL's "Hardcore". And to give it more character, I use a lot of Slide Notes (a big reason why I prefer using a native FL guitar instead of a third-party VST) in tandem with pitch automation LFO's to simulate vibrato. I'm really glad that you like the sound of it! The low brass also is from FLEX, being a combination of "Trombones Staccato" and "Full Brass Staccato" from the Essential Winds library. I'm a big fan of FLEX, as you know! 😁For the bass elements - and I'm psyched that you mentioned it - I used a combination of a basic sub-bass and a gritty top bass, both from Serum. Guys like you, Vector U, and Theølogy have really helped me to understand the importance of using a bass with a lot of presence, especially in a dense mix!
Oh man, I'm so hyped to hear that you liked the parts at 0:52 and 2:05 - those are my absolute favorite parts in the original song, and I'm really happy with how they came out here. AvoCado's leads are perfect for bringing that instantaneous, uplifting energy that makes you feel like you've just made a huge comeback, and every time I hear this song in game, I think of it as a turnaround moment - it's so cool! And thank you for mentioning the retroized breakdown segment at the start of the second verse, as well! That one was a LOT of fun to work on, and Avo, being the madman he is, was completely on-board for me going wild with this different style. I don't know if you've used it before, but it not, I highly recommend a plugin I started using during this project called "Krush" - it's a free bitcrusher plugin that's easy to use and produces great results - I wish I had discovered it sooner!
As always, your commentary on the visuals is hugely appreciated! This video came in at around 15 hours in the ZGEV, and it was especially fun to put together this time around, because I just love the characters and writing in KI:U. Most of the dialogue is taken verbatim from the game, or adapted to fit the video (omitting Medusa's role, for instance), but the dialogue in the retro segment is original, which I hoped would maintain the writing style. 😁 I couldn't have asked for better artwork here, and Kali really pulled through with some superb character expressions and action poses. Thank you for always acknowledging her work specifically!
Again, it means the world that you always take the time to write at length on each video, and I'm grateful for your comment on AvoCado's video, as well! Until next time, my friend! 💛

Hey man its so great to see you continue to kill it with these banger remixes and collaborations!
I really love the lead keytar sounding instrument so much. Great for jrpg and battle music. I also think the song reminds me of Pokemon battle themes which i know inspires you a lot, especially the major sounding section.
The arrangment is so stacked while not sounding overbearing. Its the perfect amount of density and of course your mixes always allows for this. This is so good its ready to be put into a game as is.
Love to see you continue to release and I'm always excited to see what else you got for us 🎸🔥

Heyy, Kibatsu!! It's always such a delight to read your comments, and I really appreciate your taking the time to write at length here. ^_^
Honestly, this has been a remarkable year, in terms of collaborations - looking back on this year's videos, it dawned on me that I'll have been involved in more collaborative remixes than solo ones, which feels awesome. This year, I've taken part in three collabs with people I've partnered with previously, and four with people I hadn't worked with before. I always find the collaborative projects especially rewarding because I learn so much from the people I work with, and it allows for a significantly different sound style than what I'd normally create on my own. For instance,
AvoCado's drumming adds a distinctly powerful and authentic sound that I'd never be able to achieve with electronic drum samples and grooves!
I'm really glad you liked that lead instrument so much! The one I think you're referring to (first heard at around 0:52) is one of AvoCado's signature leads, and it has such a vibrant sound that it instantly infuses any melody with wild energy, perfect for a battle theme like this one. Both he and I are big fans of battle themes in general (and, I mean, who isn't?), so it's heartening to hear that the instrumentation helped to create that intense feeling that comes with fight songs in JRPGs or Action games! And now that you mention it, the more major-sounding segments definitely feel reminiscent of Pokemon, with how uplifting and triumphant they are. It's almost like what you might expect to hear when a gym leader is down to their last Pokemon... and you're definitely right on the mark, regarding how inspiring and motivational that series' music has been for me over the years!
Thank you also for commenting on the instrumentation, in terms of balance and depth! I really do take a lot of pride in the density of each arrangement (which I know is sometimes a challenge for my collaborators who take a "less-is-more" approach to production), but I never want it to come at the price of sounding overbearing, cluttered, or muddy. Hearing you say that the mix achieved a fullness of sound without being messy is _huge_ praise - thanks so much for that! I think between AvoCado and myself there were close to 30 non-percussive parts alone, so it's encouraging to hear that our efforts to keep it all under control really paid off here!
It means the world to know that you look forward to each new remix, and the very same to you, my friend. Thanks again, and I'll see you soon! ❤‍🔥

I couldn't agree more that there need to be more remixes of this track, and just the entire OST in general. Wow, awesome work Equalyze & AvoCado! I’m not familiar with Kid Icarus, but this remix pulled me in right away. I'm completely in love with the leads, their sound is so captivating! Specially that opening lead is amazing, is it an actual guitar or a synth? I really can't tell, but it sounds incredible. Then the energy throughout is contagious, that 'retro breakdown' is super smooth, and the orchestra elements at the section in 0:53 add such an epic and climax vibe that really resonates with me. The illustrations are top tier, capturing each expression and character in a beautiful way, and the animations synergize perfectly to tell the story. What a wonderful remix!

Wow, this comment was such a delight to read - thanks so much, Alter Loy! I really appreciate your taking the time to write at length regarding the music and video, and I'm thrilled that you liked the remix, especially in spite of not having played the game this track is from. It's very high to praise to hear that you found it engaging regardless of familiarity!
Thanks for your specific mention of the leads! A lot of people so far seem to be enjoying the lead instrumentation in particular, and understandably so - AvoCado is a master when it comes to selecting and utilizing vibrant and powerful leads, and it's really become a signature of his style, in tandem with the rock-solid rock-style drumming.
The guitar you mentioned is actually a VST, but it's hugely encouraging to hear that it resembled a real instrument! That guitar has become a favorite of mine, and one day I happened to come across a combination of settings in the VST itself (FL Studio's "FLEX") as well as a very dense effect chain with delay, reverb, compression, distortion, saturation, and additional distortion... it was the product of a lot of trial-and-error, but I love the way it sounds, and I'm very proud of it. What's also nice is that since it's from one of FL Studio's own VSTs, it's compatible with a feature called Slide Notes, which allow for those portamento slides which I feel are crucial to getting more of a natural, note-bending feel. In any case, I'm ecstatic that you liked that guitar lead here!
I'm psyched that you liked the retroized segment, as well (and thanks for taking an interest in the description, as always)! That one was a lot of fun to work on, and AvoCado being the bold and lively individual that he is gave me the green flag to wild with it! I made extensive use of an awesome plugin called "Krush", which is a free and very user-friendly bitcrush plugin. I highly recommend it, if you're ever looking to bit-crush any instrumental or percussive sounds!
And thank you also for your kind mention of the artwork and animations! Kali did an incredible job as usual, and the three different expressions she created for each character really brought the dialogue exchanges to life! I'm happy to hear that the storytelling came across in the way I hoped, and the music itself really lends itself to a variety of feelings throughout the battle, ranging from peril to triumph - the composers did a brilliant job with that!
Again, I appreciate so much that you always take the time to write such thoughtful comments. Until next time, my friend! 💛

Hanabi, thank you so, so much for the wonderfully enthusiastic and detailed feedback! I always love reading your comments, and I tremendously appreciate the energy and heart you put into writing them. ^_^
Thanks for your specific mention of the instrumentation! I feel like that aspect was really split down the middle here, with both AvoCado and I creating lead, rhythmic, supporting, and bass parts. And whereas I handled most of the retro/"8-bit" segment elements, AvoCado created the _entirety_ of the acoustic drums with his remarkable drum programming skills. The guy is seriously a master when it comes to this power-rock style of drumming! I'm delighted also that you mentioned certain instruments, such as the strings, horns, and guitar - I don't often get to use horns and low brass in a remix, and it was a lot of fun to work more heavily with orchestral elements here. That guitar has become a favorite of mine, being the "Darkstar Metal Feedback" (in Essential Guitars of FLEX) with an effect chain including the "Hardcore" plugin and some added compression, reverb, and delay. Above all, though, I'm delighted to hear that it came across powerfully, as an energizing track - just as Avo and I had hoped! 💥
As always, Kali and I are beyond grateful for your kind remarks regarding the visuals! I love that you always look for both details and synchronicity in the video elements, as I always enjoy trying to correlate the events in the video with big moments in the music as often as possible. The more interactive a video can be, the better! I'm always reminded of the work you put into making your videos dynamic and linked to the music, and it continually motivates and inspires me to look for new ways to synchronize audio & video! The moment I'm most proud of, visually, is the sequence where Pit takes a near fatal hit, followed by his majestic comeback, right around 2:00! 😁
It is such high praise to hear that you feel this remix video warrants multiple listens/watches. I always hope that each one will have a degree of replayability, offering new things to look and listen for, and I couldn't be happier to see that be the case here! Thank you again for the amazing comment, and my sincerest apologies for taking so long to respond. I've been trying to get caught up on writing and responding to comments - speaking of which, I had the opportunity to listen (again!) to your and NostalJack's collab and comment on it - what a wild ride! Glitchman, thank you so, so much for this wonderfully detailed and enthusiastic comment! It's always a genuine delight to read and respond to your remarks, and I appreciate your interest in this remix, especially in spite of not having played the game.
Despite them being a big part of my life, i wouldn't necessarily consider myself great at video games, but Kid Icarus: Uprising is one of the few games that really clicked with me, so I ended up spending a lot of time playing it. Being a Sakurai-made game, it has the staple "Boss Battle" mode, which I found completely addicting, and this song really became ingrained in my brain, so I'm happy to finally have had the opportunity to remix it. Exposition aside it's very high praise to hear that this track sounds well-produced - thank you for that!
Thanks for your mention of the electric guitar synth in particular! That's quickly become one of my favorite sounds to use, and it took awhile to tweak the VST settings and effect chain to get it sounding the way I wanted to, but I'm quite happy with how it ended up, and it works nicely with FL Studio's slide notes, which give it that portamento effect you mentioned. It's just a lot of fun to use, and I'm glad people have been enjoying it!
As always, I really appreciate that you mention the video elements specifically, and with all the effort and creativity you put into your videos, you know just what goes into creating interactive, dynamic visuals! It's awesome that many people in the VGM remix community seem to have really stepped up their game in this regard, too, like AvoCado's utilization of After Effects in the past year. I really do love working on the videos, and I'm a very lucky guy to have the unrelenting support of a visual artist in each project - thanks for always cheering us on! And thank you also for the kind words regarding the retro segment - I tried to have it make more sense in terms of story progression this time, as opposed to just randomly having everything become pixelated. 😅

Thanks so much, dopamix!! Your comments always put a big smile on my face, and to receive such positive feedback from someone with such incredible skill and creativity is no small thing! Huge props go to AvoCado for driving the chariot here, from laying down the base arrangement, to creating nearly all the drum parts here, which really is the core of this piece. I agree that his leads are next-level, and he has such a good sense for selecting instruments and synth that are both rich and powerful.
Also I appreciate your mentioning the crunchy retro segment in particular, and I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed it! I must admit, I'm no good with actual 8-bit VSTs, so I took a different approach here and used retro-sounding synths and regular drums which I ran through an amazing (free!) bitcrush plugin called "Krush" - I _very_ highly recommend it, if you've not already heard of it. As for the instruments in that part, a few of them came from Kepler and Kepler Exo, which I've really been liking since they were released.
Again, thanks for taking the time to listen and comment on this remix - it means a great deal! 💛

Hey Equalyze! I’m seriously impressed by this remix-you and avocadotunes981 took something from an unfamiliar game series and transformed it into an entirely fresh experience. Even though I didn’t know the original music or context, your version draws me in right from the start, creating a mood that’s both nostalgic and exhilarating. You really brought your vision to life here, and it feels like a standout track in its own right.
That retro-inspired breakdown section is such a highlight! You can tell that you both fully embraced the creative freedom to experiment, and it pays off beautifully. The throwback vibe in that part feels so genuine-it’s like stepping into an arcade from a bygone era, with neon lights, fast-paced action, and the energy of classic gaming. It’s such a smart choice to bring in that nostalgic feel, yet it’s clear this is more than just a nod to the past; it’s your unique interpretation, blending retro flair with modern production.
Avocadotunes981’s contributions are fantastic and unmistakable. Those countermelodies, melodic variations, and layered harmonies add a richness and complexity that take the remix to the next level. It’s the kind of attention to detail that makes each listen rewarding, with new musical surprises woven throughout the track. I found myself catching different nuances each time, and it’s a testament to avocadotunes981’s skill and style that these elements come together so cohesively.
And the drumwork-wow. It’s honestly one of my favorite aspects! The energy, the dynamics, the precision…it’s all there. It takes me right back to that Ridge Racer Type 4 vibe, which is so nostalgic for me personally and also a bit of an influence in my own recent remix! The way Avocadotunes981 handled the percussion really grounds the track, giving it that intense, rhythmic drive that fits perfectly with the retro theme but still feels fresh and engaging.
Even though I started out unfamiliar with this game series, your remix makes it feel like a track that’s right at home in my playlist. It’s clear that you both poured your creativity, time, and passion into this project, and it shows in every beat, melody, and transition. You’ve truly made this remix your own, giving it a unique identity that goes beyond the source material and stands as a testament to your artistry. Amazing work, both of you-thank you for sharing this fantastic remix!

Poke&Remix, thank you so, so much for the wonderfully detailed and elaborate comment! I want to apologize profusely for taking so long to respond, but I wanted to make sure that I had an opportunity to respond at length. It's been an incredibly busy month, in terms of work-related responsibilities, but I'm finally starting to get my feet under me again. 😅
I'm a bit surprised, in truth, to see that many people in the comments have indicated that they're unfamiliar with this game. I had always thought that it was a renowned 3DS title, but it seems Pit, Palutena, Dark Pit, and other Kid Icarus elements (stages, music) are more well-known through their appearance in the Smash Bros. games. To be honest, I never played the original NES game until after Brawl came out, and a big reason why I even bought Kid Icarus: Uprising in the first place was because I found out it was created by Masahiro Sakurai, whose games I love. That alone was enough to sell me on it, and I'm really glad that I ended up buying it, because Uprising turned out to be one of my favorite titles on 3DS! In any case, I'm absolutely thrilled to hear that this rendition of the piece drew you in, in spite of your being unfamiliar with the game it originates from - that's very high praise!
Oh man, I'm so glad to hear that you liked the retroized segment in particular! That idea came about as I was brainstorming ways to differentiate the second half of the arrangement, when the song repeats. Since the instrumentation is so dense and iconic, I felt that making subtle adjustments to the instrumentation might end up being a bit underwhelming. It had been awhile since I incorporated a retro-styled breakdown segment - since "Break the Targets" in March 2023, in fact - so it felt like a good opportunity to utilize that approach again here. And serendipitously, it worked well with the video concept, since there had been a huge gap between releases, where the last time Pit was seen in a video game was on the Game Boy and NES (which the game even humorously references) so it felt like the throwback made extra sense.
Your mention of it being a blend of retro flair fused with modern production techniques is such a pointed remark, and a huge compliment - thank you for that! I'm no good with actual 8-bit synths and plugins (and props to all the people out there who _are_ good with those kinds of sounds and VSTs), so I made liberal use of a plugin I discovered during this project called "Krush". It's completely free, and even if it wasn't, it would still seem like a really good value, given how easy-to-use and effective it is - very highly recommended! Using Krush, I bitcrushed all of the percussive elements (which are, in fact, just modern electronic drum samples) and a few of the instruments used earlier in the remix, as well as a few new "arcade-y" synths specific to this segment. I have to give big props to AvoCado, who was completely on-board for the idea and chipped in with some chipsynth sounds of his own! Again, I'm so psyched that you liked both that idea and execution, and I appreciate your feedback on it!
Thanks so much for your enthusiastic accolades regarding AvoCado's work in the piece! The guy seriously is a marvel when it comes to arranging and producing, especially in the realm of drum programming. I sincerely don't know how he consistently creates such powerful, dynamic, and straight-up-cool rhythmic patterns in his drumming, but he has a real knack for it! It's always a treat to work with him because the instruments, drums, and [sound] effects that he creates have so much energy and vibrance, and it adds a very distinct and immediately noticeable flavor to the music that's quite different from anything else on this channel.
Although I've heard of the Ridge Racer series, I don't think I've ever heard any of its music, at least not that I can remember. That's interesting, though, to hear that the drums sounded reminiscent of Ridge Racer Type 4! For context, I went and listened to a few tracks from the game, and I can definitely see what you mean, especially regarding the rhythmic drive and flashy style. I could be wrong here, but I think AvoCado's drumming style is in part influenced by one of his favorite anime, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, which seems to share stylistic similarities to RRT4. And in the remix you referenced (my new favorite of yours, by the way), influences of that percussive style definitely show through! I'm a firm believer that a solid remix starts with great drums, and it's always heartening when people remark on the particular aspect, as you've done here.
Your comments really are a joy to read, and I tremendously appreciate the effort and time that you put into writing them - they're so fluid, precise, and full of character, and it means more than I can say that you go out of your way to write such deep feedback for each remix. Thanks again, my friend, and I'll see you soon! 💛

Heyy, Bard! Thanks so much for taking the time to listen to this track and comment on it - your feedback really means a lot to me. 😊
I'm especially delighted that you liked the bit-crushed part, as that was an idea I'm particularly proud of! Every now and then, I like to incorporate a retro-ized section midway through a remix, as it makes for some nice built-in variance, and with a game like Kid Icarus: Uprising, it felt a propos since since the only other entries in the series are on Game Boy and NES - I thought it might make for a fun little throwback, and it gave me a chance to write some new dialogue for the battle. 😁 Also! The (free!) plugin that I used for both the drums and synths did so much work here, and I can't highly recommend it enough - it's called "Krush", in case you're interested.
Also, that's awesome that your friend covered this track, as well! I'm thinking it's TNH Nebula? I'm always looking for remixes from Kid Icarus: Uprising's soundtrack, but they're kind of rare to find. I'm surprised that one didn't show up when I searched last week, but after searching again with revised terms, I just found the one I think you're referring to. And wow, what talent! Guys like you and TNH Nebula really set a standard in the remix community that many others aspire to, including myself.

Kid Icarus Uprising's OST, I'm finding, is one that not a whole lot of people are familiar with, but this song in particular was featured in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (as "Boss Fight 1"), which helped to put it on people's radar. The game is one of my all-time favorites for 3DS, and honestly, any title that Sakurai is involved with turns out to be polished and just a lot of fun to play - the man always seems to have a finger firmly on the pulse of gamers!

I could've sworn I replied to your comment when you wrote it shortly after this song was uploaded (and thank you for that!), but I guess it never saved. Hopefully you were able to see it, but if not, I want to again express my utmost gratitude for the awesome feedback.
It means a lot that this song caught your interest in spite of your not being familiar with it - I'm a bit surprised, in truth, to find that quite a few people hadn't heard of this song before, but nonetheless delighted that this remix could be their first encounter with the piece! AvoCado is an absolute madlad of a musician, and the guy especially excels at programming drum parts. As a fellow FL Studio user, I always wondered what VST he used for his drums, but it looks like you're intimately familiar with it! If I were more confident in my ability to write authentic sounding acoustic drum parts, I would definitely look into that, but for now, I'll stick with piecemealing electronic drum samples to create drum parts. But again, huge props to AvoCado for not only his drum elements, but his lead and supporting parts, as well. Like you, he's a genuinely underrated VGM artist, and it was a real privilege to be able to work with him on our third collaborative project!
Again, thanks so much for your comment, and my sincere apologies for the massively delayed comment reply!
