I Know A Little Lyrics:
Yes, sir!
Well the bigger the city well the brighter the lights
Bigger the dog well the harder the bite
I don't know where you been last night
But I'm thinkin' mama, you ain't doin' right
Say I know a little
I know a little 'bout it
I know a little
I know a little 'bout it
I know a little 'bout love
Baby I can guess the rest
Well now I don't read that daily news
'Cause it ain't hard to figure
Where people gets the blues
They can't dig what they can't use
If they stick to simple
They'd be much less abused
Say I know a little
Lord I do know a little 'bout it
I know a little
I know a little 'bout it
I know a little 'bout love
Baby I can guess the rest
Play me a little
Whoo!
Yeah!
Well if you want me to be your only man
Said listen up mama, teach you all I can
Do right baby, by your man
Don't worry mama, teach you all I can
Say I know a little
Lord I know a little 'bout it
I know a little
I know a little 'bout it
I know a little 'bout love
And baby I can guess the rest
Well I know a little 'bout love
Baby I want your best
Billy Powell is really missed..RIP
He made that band.
@@rodvanburen6147 Actually Ronnie made the band but Billy sure helped
best honky-tonk pianist ever
Practicing the riffs on this song for hours is what got me better at both guitar and piano for all styles of music. Jazz guitar is no joke.
In my life, this has been my favorite track always.... Along with Deep Purple's Lazy... Congrats to Johnny and the boys for keeping the tradition alive.
i know a little is far better than lazy....way better....pure class
Super shout out to Steve Gaines who originally wrote this super cool chickn' pickin' guitar lick! RIP brother.
My favorite Skynyrd song
The good 'ol Florida boys, best Southern Rock there still is
Almost all of 'em are Yankees, now lol
Poor man's Allman Bros😉
@@jpdjag LOL how dare you? Blasphemy!
@@McMannis505 not even a close call, especially with Warren and Derek.
One of the best boogie songs of all time WOO !!! I love Skynyrd !!
This song is performed flawlessly on this live version. When you see a Concert where the Band is as great live, as good or sometimes even better than the CD, those are the Shows to see, especially these days where Tickets are pretty expensive.
Pierre-
Yeah, it was played well. Steve Gaines in crawdaddy was good too
One of the greatest bands of all time!
Man do I love jamming with this lead. One of the most respected in the industry.
Crazy how I was led to this video just a few days ago.
R.I.P. to Gary.
Heard this tune on the radio last night and forgot just how good it is, because, well radio doesn't play good music anymore. The guitar work is great but Leon's bass lines are just awesome in this one.
Of all the guitarists Skynyrd has ever had, I think only Hughie could to justice to Steve's original intro and he plays it beautifully here
hughie tomalassion was with the outlaws here, same one you are speaking of?
Agreed, he was spot on
That intro is a bitch, took me a long time to get it down. I still use it as a practice before I play. Steve Gaines was a mother fucker, can't even imagine what great things we missed
Love Hughie (here and with Outlaws), but when this new tribute band first got together, Ed King played it very, very well...although Randall did play poorly on his parts...and I have video to prove. it :)...
@@skipjackbill - Yes, Hughie played with Lynyrd Skynyrd from 1996-2004
To me Hughie joining was similar to Jack Pearson joining the Allmans. Major underrated player who added a kick in the ass and a total pro.
Hughie was great wasn't he.....I miss him.
Hughie!!!!!!!-
Damn that thar' boy can play 🎸
Is this the real Lynyrd Skynyrd? Come on people, PLEASE!
As long as there is a breath left in Gary Rossington's body, YES, this IS Lynyrd Skynyrd.
And God Bless these guys for keeping the memory of Ronnie, Steve, cassie, Leon, Allen, Ean, Bob and Billy alive.
MultiBaldEagle Bob died.
+MultiBaldEagle You're so right. People always compare Johnny to his brother and even though I understand that, give the guy credit. He has been the front man for Skynyrd now way longer than Ronnie. Yes, we miss the originals, but I'm glad they're still hanging in there!
like the allman brothers, great material, with some original members missing, big deal. when warren haynes joined, then derek trucks, they became a new old band. here, they're playing it the way it's meant to be. hank jr. said country music singers are one big family. ditto southern rock players. and johnny does a bang-up job.
tough to fill in for the older brother, original member and creator. like gregg for duane. the spirit lasted till march 2015. less new material through the years with LS, but never faltered with the old. two battlehorse fuckin' old bands
IF you look at the members in this video, you will see at least 3 original members, Gary Rossington, Billy Powell, and Leon Wilkeson. If you knew Your Skynyrd, you would know that Ricky Medlocke is also an original. During his first stint with Lynyrd Skynyrd from 1971-1972 he played drums and sang lead on a few songs
Sometimes when a player is known for one song, especially (not that Steve didn't blister EVERYTHING!!), it just seems like no one else can really do it quite the same, but the boys sure don't have anything to be ashamed of here!! I'm sure Steve and Ronnie gave their approval.
Ricky Medlock was a rocker🤩🤩
These guys are so damn exciting. Wow...
Pulling long lines on a fishing boat while this song is playing gets intense.
Great rock n roll song!
this is my favorite line up. Hughie was awesome man
Very thankful they're keeping the legend of Lynard Skynard alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amen brother
That is the real Billy Powell on keyboards. Ronnie's brother Johnny singing. I believe that is Gary Rossington on the Les Paul. Other former members Ed King and Artemus Pyle are retired. Many have passed on - RIP Allen Collins, Steve Gaines, Ronnie Van Zant, Leon Wilkeson, and Cassie Gaines.
Hughie Thomasson (formerly of the Outlaws) on the Telecaster in the intro, Rickey Medlocke (formerly of Blackfoot) on the slide,
@@ricsterpj Rickey Medlocke was originally the drummer for Skynyrd before his time with Black Foot.
Sadly now all original members have died. Artemus NEVER RETIRED. That's BS. Closest thing left to an original member still alive that was never allowed back into the band because he and Judy(Ronnie's wife) didn't get along for various reasons.
They really should let Artimus back otherwise they're cover band touring around with ZZ Top currently.
Btw Steve Gaines originally wrote this super cool guitar lick
When Hughie Thomason was with them he played Ed King and Steve Gaines parts Rickey Medlocke played Allen Collins parts
I used to play "Gimme Three Steps" when I got a young crowd. They loved it. Really great lyrics and hilarious!
Best party ever!!
this has got to be the greatest guitar solo ever!
period. end of.
🦈🍺🇦🇺🦈🍺🇦🇺🦈🍺🇦🇺
That is some damn good guitar playing right there
They BLEW THE HOUSE AWAY WITH THIS ONE T DOORS ADE STILL STANDING THOUGH LOL!!
Hell Ya!
Great stuff, great music.Cool guitars, lyrics and everything else. Love Skynyrd.
One of their best songs, lyrics and fun lively complex music, that is so underrated and under played!!
great song
Great tune "HEAR"!!!!!!! ROCK ON!!!!!!!!
Now that's what i'm talkin bout ! WOOO WEEE!
The studio version of this fabbo ditty is supreme. It ranks as one of favourite songs that, if I be thrown onto a deserted island with 5 songs only, the studio version of 'I Know a Little' would def come along with me to keep sanity. Billy's piano break is possibly the best PB ever.
The other 4?
Certytainly J.J. Cale's 'Pack My Jack'.
Amy's quiet version of 'Valerie'.
Jimmy Witherspoon's live version, ya know, the one where he is singing to his beloved mother, of 'Ain't Nobodies Business'.
Oh my, the last, I don't know - so so many...
Thank you music.
Mad props to Steve Gaines who originally wrote this super cool guitar lick!
I was about to say!
I remember first seeing the Skynyd guys on the UA-cam video Muscle Shoals.
I keep asking the local band playing at some good shows to play this Classic tune, 🎵 but few will ever try ???
Thanks for sharing!
Damn that's so good
Excelencia de músicos e vocalista parabéns Lynyrd skynyrd🫶😊👏💪🇵🇹
gotta kove this fun shit
Last best lineup since the crash
Southern Rock at it's Finest
1:53, "playin bass and rockin a wizard hat, and I don't give a Fuck"
All hail ''The Wizard''
Im originally from the Dakota Territory, but as far as Im concerned, Southern Rock and Roll always kicks ass. At least Skynyrd and 38 Special and Gator Country does.Southern Rock. Theres nothing like it. And, now Im on the West Coast in Oregon, and Southern Rock still kicks.
never forget: written by Steve Gaines. I would love to listen more of his music, but.... (1977-sad day)
The dude in black jeans, hat and guitar...mm, mm, mm!!
This is the best the Tribute band ever got
R.I.P leon
Steve Gaines wrote this song way before he even knew who these guys were. It is true though that Steve Gaines relationship with this band put his song on the map. He was blues player hanging in Detroit playing in the blues clubs. I dunnno how he got hooked with Skynyrd but he did.
Steve came to the band through his sister Cassie. I read that somewhere.
Cassie background vocalist tried a couple of times to get gary Allen and Ronnie to here her brother play. They just decided not to hire LESLIE WEST to be there new guitar picker.they were in Kansas City to play an outdoor large stadium and Steve Gaines was in a band playing the holiday inn in KC.Casssie finally convinced them to listen to him play and the rest is history
Yeeeeees sir!!
If the come back around I’ll go see them
The Bass Player.
computerkopman123 The cat in the hat knew a little
Is that Leon?
@@johnreynolds8293 - Yes
Here ya go, southern rock, great.. sad..
as cool as it gets!! lol that's my uncle, and he STILL wears those! Does everything in em. haha
Salvadore Calo who is your uncle?
🍻fk yes
In what band do you have three bad ass guitar players?! Skynyrd
CSA Forever!!!
great bannd
like dad like son
Me and Jonnie use to get high in his moms Grand Lemans at FJC downtown..Dude was so QUIET you would have never guessed he would end up on Stage..We Lost Danny Esposito my neighbor and guitarist of the Austin Nichols band.Jonnies 1st real band. He got me into playing guitar..
Johnny is doing great, he doesn't have to be Ronnie!
Long Live Confederate Rock!
In memory of Bother and Ronnie
Ht in the house...😁
I GOT TO AGREE THE PIANO PLAYER HAS BEEN PLAYING SINCE HE RECORDED IT AND IT SHOWS HE BLEW THEM AWAY POLISHED THERE SHIT
Scott Salome turn your caps lock off,if you want someone to read what your typing.
friend peter keys the new keyboard player....the bomb
best guitar song ever!!!! too bad the video is out of sink.
Baby I can guess the rest
Somebody told me I was using the wrong kind of oil in my scooter; he may have meant
well, but I did my own research, and I'm sticking to what I'm using! It's full synthetic, it's
the right weight, and the"scoot" runs just fine! " I know a little 'bout love; maybe I can
guess the rest!" I love my scooter, and the more I ride it, the more I get to realizing it's
good points and it's limitations... kinda like a human relationship... Right?
J J Grey's Dad told him, " Son, that's jookin' music!" J J listened well...........
this song channels my inner Ann Margaret and i gotta move!
These guys are so fucking cooler
Lynyrd Skynyrd - I Know a Little (cover by Dr. Endo & Dreamteam)
Well Billy is playing with the ultimate musician in heaven......Jesus.
It's the LS tribute band.
Love the guitars but Leon’s bass makes this song.
hot
Killer version, Jerry Lee approved
not convinced the guy who was meant to be doing the slick licks was actually doin them
braz spangler yes he is. I have the dvd and he does it right on camera.. only one part is really tricky.
i know its all tricky class tune
Recognize Gary and Rickey, but who is the third guitar player who handles lead part that Steve used to play?
Hughie Thomasson
Im a new fan. Is this Van Sant???
Hey all yall..... I know a little too. Not a lot.... just enough.
This aint no Lynyrd Skynyrd . I didn't see anyone from pre 1977 era. They are a cover band. "The Posers"
How cool is Owen Hale to drum in Boxershorts ?
N.A.F.K lol yea.. Owen Hale was badass,
He should have stuck with the D&G's.
Can rick pick rather than slide?
Absolutely, listen to some Blackfoot he can really play.
TY
hell yes
crappy camera or editting work. right when they get to the fast opening guitar part, they switch to a side view and you cannot see his fingering.
doesn't that guy in the black cowboy hat know his guitar is inaudible?
Many he likes the sou d of his own voice can u feel me
Sorry the drummer falls way short of artimus
fore sure he is your uncle
Just a very good cover band, certainly not Skynyrd
Certainly more than just a cover band, when seeing this band live you know it's the real thing. No it's not the band that we lost, but they do play the part that was composed by the band, they play those songs the way there supposed to so that all I have to do is close my eyes and the hear my favorite band live. That's how they approach it
Sorry IMA big fan of Trans, paranCY it'd just. Better to pretend talking to a friend hope so just randomOBSERVATIONS keep h hearing stuff like I'm in, in d should not I b the first to no that k or is it a hoppless situation just don't ask me if I'm in or I'm out but we both no few words from your big buetiful mouth and I'd b in deep for good hope I'm talking my girl or goverment
These cat's could not carry Stevie Gaines guitar case. sorry!
Michael Hicks u kidding? Steve was a great player but Hughie is right up there with him... Gary was in the original and still kicks ass today and medlocke joined a year before this concert and if your hear his Blackfoot stuff, you’ll love it
Are you really suggesting Hughie Thomasson would not be in the same league (or better) with Stevie Gaines? Seriously?
Man people yes Steve Gaines wad good but he was not the second coming nor did he magically make Skynyrd all of a sudden a great band. RICKRY MEDLOCKE and HUGHIE THOMASSON are legends in rock n roll let alone southern rock Steve Gaines hadn't reach that pinnacle yet but may have been on his way , but saying no comparison is not quit right. I wouldn't think
Sloppy ed king did it much better.
These's guys are nothen but a glorified cover band, gary Rossington is the only real Skinner. Jonny Vanzant is a terrible singer just terrible. Lynard skinnier died October 20 1977. Even though Jonny Vanzant don't sound so to bad in this song, he is terrible in most of the songs. I can't stand to listen to them, riding on Ronnie's talent and song writing. They shouldn't be able to use skinnier name!!
Billy Powell, Gary Rossington, and Leon Wilkeson are all in this video. Along with two members of Southern Rock royalty - Hughie and Rickey.
It's hard to take someone serious when THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW THE NAME OF THE BAND!! It's "SKYNYRD" you ass...not "SKINNER"!! So, they aren't using the SKINNER name...the "SKYNYRD" name!! Hard to believe you even edited your post and STILL got the name wrong! Go back to listening to Mozart....
What fuck ever why don't you go tell them folks that saved 20 people in that plane crash they wasted there time . if SKYNYRD was meant to die that day all would have parrished
Nice try. Bad fail.
