Mr Black Productions the Rodger fart is one thing I have yet to have ever learned how to build. They were popular for just a very short time although many people are requesting those now and I'm not sure where to buy or which one rather to order that's easily modified for the Rodger fart or what's also now commonly used which is around here known as the bump bump
@@milocs typically the boards are marked with something referring to In and Out sometimes it is marked as IP for input op4 output your Center conductor leads are your primary in and the outer Shield of the wire is ground
On a cobra 29 on the coax wires ? The input goes to #2 and the output goes to the yellow wire? Then where does the 2 black wires go? Also I found jp13 for the 8v. But where does the little black wire from that plug go? I couldn't see from the video where you were putting things..
@@rainmakerscustomsrainmaker8985 thanks for the reply. i couldn't tell from the video. Does the negative lead on the capacitor go to the ch. 9 switch or to the transmit traces. Thanks! Cant wait to try this way!!
@@shanehitchcock6985 If you are referring to the input and output of the echo board, yeah, it does matter which one goes where. In regards to the channel 9 switch. I will have to rewatch the video to remember. I thought this was one that I was doing a vfo wind up on.
@@rainmakerscustomsrainmaker8985 yeah, you were showin how you made talkback on a 29 with I a beleive a 2.2uf electrolytic capacitor connected via ch.9 switch. I use to work on radios several years ago just as a hobby and now I am just trying to relearn everything, its amazing how fast you forget. I have a UA-cam channel named RF-LEGACY of the cb radios I have done years ago. Thanks for your help!
I have an echo board trying to see how to get it hooked ,, no1 near me know or all the cb shops are gone,, the nearest is Denver 13 hours away,, ,, was hoping i get an idea,, ,
that is what was used in this video. Besides the input & output cables being 1 is input & 1 being out the most important part is to use an 8 volt source to power it. this can be done 1 of two ways. Find an 8 volt source in the radio that is stable, or use a pull down resistor. a 1.5k 1/2w works well for this & your off & running
There should be 2 small pieces of what looks like koax coming off of the echo board. One will be marked J1 the other J2 Depending on which variation of Eco board you have J2 is typically your Mic input while J1 is your output. If this is going in to a Cobra 29 it will be placed in between the wire and your Mic input connector
It was good radio went to bad ass don't like echo chamber I know your doing a job for customer good work.
A slight amount of echo sounds great over the air.
Its been 26 years since I put one in. Thanks for refreshing my memory. I also used to make Roger farts.

does the polarity matter on the capacitor when hooking up to channel 9 switch? Thanks for the great tips!
YEs it dose.
