Save your mushrooms by feeding your boar carrots or turnips. I find that its easier to grow those crops and use the mushrooms for coloking. I am really like this build! Gives me some ideas.
@@HiccupTheHermit Yeah at first I thought the same thing. But I found out that carrots seem to work the best, and also their breeding depends upon how many you have in a given area.
Nice looking little cottage there. I know you've already filled it in, but I would have totally dug out that space under the rock a bit more and put some stairs down to make a root cellar- even if I didn't actually use it, just for thematics. Granted, you can't go down too much so close to the water. WTB waterproof building materials that actually stop the waves coming in!
Build pieces that interacted with water would be an awesome addition actually... Would make building near or on water really fun and freeing. nice idea.
I wonder if our poor Vikings get killer itches after being nibbled by Deathsquitoes? Nasty little beasts, it would just figure you'd end up with an enormous welt. Your build looks great as always! My lad Jorgen had free-range Loxen around his place, He just zoomed by and dropped cloudberries for the wild ones until they decided the tiny Viking was actually pretty cool.
These videos are awesome! They have the perfect balance of action and down time. I watch and rewatch when I workout. They keep my mind off the treadmill/elliptical time and are entertaining as hell!
Oh that is awesome! Always love hearing WHEN Wanderers are watching the vids! Glad you enjoy the content! Thank you so much for watching! and enjoy those workouts!
Small wooden doors will snap to front, back and middle spots, so you can place one of those then snap another door to it or place a beam next to or under the small door to set up a better and consistent snap
A couple of details I’ve grown fond of: if you knock out a couple of blocks by your kitchen cooking fire, you can snap wood flooring to the bottom (maybe just a little higher or double layer) then drop down some small chests and replace your stone floor blocks. This gives you some clean storage areas you can walk over without cluttering up your kitchen with chests everywhere. Stone floors used as ceilings require much less support when you brick them. You can suspend over surprising widths by working across gaps one row at a time making sure your pieces have even a little support on the sides. Mistlands gives some really cool options for topping off a keep or castle with stone roof, but for iron age stone I like to use vertical short core logs placed at different heights as accents. Cool look. Unfortunately for some reason the long vertical core logs dont like rain though.
I really love your videos man! I like that you actually made a huge playlist compiled with all of your shorts and episodes and more, great job and I wish I had found your channel so long ago!!
Xbox viking here! New to the channel ans love your vids man! Im glad youre friendly family too ill just leave your vids on sometimes when the family is around. Love your builds and exploration man! Keep being happy
I'd love to be able to farm red and yellow mushrooms. You could prepare an inoculation by preparing a mushroom and 1 wood together which would produce 10 mushroom plugs. Then using the cultivator, you could select to lay out logs in a shaded garden area since mushrooms generally don't like direct sunlight.. Finally you would select to plug the logs with your mushroom plugs and wait for them to grow. At least this is how I would imagine a mushroom farming mechanic.
I'm sooo excited to get there and explore (What is to me) undiscovered country! I have no clue what's waiting for me.... well maybe a small clue, but not really. lol I've avoided everything I can about the Mistlands.
The new base building looks great. I realize I’m about 8 months late on this series, but I see you’re currently making new entries in this playlist, so I’m sure I’ll be caught up quickly. Especially since I’m binging it with Covid. This is close to what an end game base should be. I usually look for a base in the edge of a plains/black forest biome with easy access to a swamp and mountain all joining together in the same or nearly same location. I usually move to this type of location as soon as I beat the Elder. Then I stay in this base, upgrading or expanding it as I go, all the way through to the end game. There’s no real need for another base unless you just want to make one in the mistlsnds.
"This little building.." Bigger and more elaborate building than I've ever built. XD But I'm a minimalists. Which is just a nice way to say that I have no creativity.
Great vid as always, I have a couple of questions though, why does the fermenter emptying sound like a toilet flushing? and the second is, you killed 2 Trolls without checking for their heads which would equal more fishing bait.
Great to hear your sub count is going up! Always happy to watch a new hiccup video.

Yeah, I have been, but i thought you had to feed them mushrooms to get them boar to breed... That's what I've used a lot on. That and meals. lol
@@HiccupTheHermit they'll eat red mushrooms, raspberries, blueberries carrots, not sure on onions and turnips

There is only one thing I don't like about your videos, Hiccup ... the ending and having to wait for the next one. Keep doing you!
Dawwww, thank you so much!
Thanks for hanging out here at the Digital Hermitage!
Me too!
So dope!! Def makes me want to actually build something in the Plains!... and with stone.

Impressive building as always 😄Good stuff!
Thanks!
Great episode, love the tower build :)
This build has been on my mind for a while. I think it came out well and it's going to fill in really nice I Think. Glad you like it!
Oh gosh my heart was in my throat the whole time you were jumping up and down the tower!! I'm so glad your sub count is climbing🎉
Thanks!

Nice build Sir Hiccup
Hey thanks!
i am amused that there were actually two fish in the boat at the end XD
Haha. They want out if the water!
Moving on up!
Oh yea!

Haha i have no idea why it sounds that way....
And idk, guess i should have checked but I'm more focused on lox and fuling trophies now.
Eat some Bukeperries immediately before emptying a fermenter. XD
Wish they would release this on playstation seriously been enjoying the gameplay i like how vast of an environment it is
