Will be heard in Westminster Abbey next June.
Fantastic performance! Good 'ol nuts and bolts' Handel in all his glory!
Beautiful! Very different to other versions but beautiful indeed. The choir is superb. Handel would be proud of you!
Listening to this now as the 70th coming up next weekend. Wonderful performance.
Looooooove this amazing performance, I wish I could have been there. Beautiful sound. Congratulations!
Beautifully arranged and directed! Croatia has some amazing talent - 2 cellos, Maksim, Feminem, as well as this remarkable ensemble to name but a few.....
I can't avoid thinking about the UEFA Champions League everytime I hear Handel's Zadok The Priest!
10/10 for over-acting at 3:16
Beautiful...you enjoy the music because the singers and the orchestra enjoyed it as well. Charming
Good to hear this with only 11 voices - far more likely in Handel's time. Interesting use of the heavy appoggiatura in singing "ever." Well played!
Handel evoked emotion through through the ornamentation and melodic patterns he chose to decorate the words he selected. By choosing a long appogiatura for « Ever » he created surety that we’d always remember the significance of a coronation.
As a native English speaker, I am grateful that Handel found work and great success in England. V
A gorgeous performance. Thank you!
@@flautalee3090 And Handel was born Händel, a nice German boy. My favorite among many other composers of his time I enjoy, such as Veracini, D. Scarlatti, Corelli, Purcell, Manfredini, Fasch & composers before his time: Byrd, Tallis, Morley...
@@kingdavidapple For sure! You are correct that his last name was Händel.
@@kingdavidapple You really know your Baroque and late Renaissance composers. I’m totally impressed. I’ve not heard of Veracini, Manfredini, and Fasch. Now I feel the need to check them out. Do you have any suggestions for my research?
@@flautalee3090 Francsco Manfredini was principally an organist. He wrote a concerto for Christmas that contains one of the most beautiful melodies I've heard. Francesco Veracini was a violin virtuoso, who wrote some violin sonatas and overtures/sinfonias. These often have hard-charging sections bookending tender lyric sections. Fasch was a contemporary of J S Bach. His stuff can be parochial by comparison, but at times He has some fine ideas and methods. You can find some examples by typing in their names to UA-cam.
Amazing!
Amazing!!
