I'm watching this video because I need some courage to relax my hair. I'm struggling to keep it going too. I've had my natural hair for 5 years

Ladies.. please *DO NOT* mimic the application method shown in this video. Improper application. NEVER apply to roots first or ends. Midshaft first . ❤️

Hi. I'm curious.. Why didn't you research the proper way or simply follow the instructions in the box?? The instructions tells you how to apply. (Just a sincere question , not being funny.)

I felt your struggle in this video. I too am exhausted with my hair! Yes we all have the answer to ‘does black women hair grow beautifully?’ YES BUT when it does it’s a lot to manage. This is what keeps me from obtaining waist length hair. The time & expense is crazy for many! Thanks for sharing & hope your hair goals worked well for you.❤

I'm also relaxing my hair this week.... Because it has grown to point that I really can't manage it... It's painful to detangle now😭

My hair is so thin after having my sister blow dry it nd im not sure if its the relaxer or its because she thoroughly blow dried it, didn't want it to look relaxed but i guess I'll know for sure when i wash it

Beautiful hair. Just some tips if you ever go back natural or feel your hair is too thick to manage:
    - On washday finger detangle dry hair and keep your hair in 4 sections then twist them. In the shower you wet your hair entire head but untwist and wash in sections, then retwist. Repeat till all 4 sections are rinsed from shampoo and retwisted. Then you repeat the process but this time with conditioner. Dont rinse the conditoner but retwist the sections. Once your entire head is conditioned you then go in sections and detangle with a paddle brush or shower comb, you may need to split each section more so its easier to detangle. Once detangled you can retwist and do your entire head. Then rinse out your sections and retwist. Once the wash routine is done you use a tshirt to dry your hair. When still damp you go in sections and add leave in conditioner and oils using LOC method. Once hair is moisturized you can untwist everything and do a afro or blowdry or any other style. And if you going to braid atleast your hair is already detangled. This is a long explanation but thick hair takes time and working in sections ensures all hair strands are moisturized and handled with care. I think your hair is 4b.

Yohh my daughter's got hair your length and I'm struggling to maintain it, she's too young for these chemicals and I'm definitely not cutting it... Basically what I'm saying is I'm screwed

I feel what you are saying and I also appreciate that you don't plan on cutting the hair.
I am a mother of 3 and all of them have natural hair. I have been natural for ten years and have waist length hair. It is a lot of work but worth it to see my children love and learn to care for their own hair.
I have a son 9 and 2 daughters, 6 an 2 respectively. You are not screwed!! I find it gets better When you learn of more efficient ways of caring for it... Like sectioning and detangling during the deep conditioning process instead of just damp hair.
I have kept my kids' hair natural all their lives and it has been the best decision I have ever made.
You are not screwed!! Brave is more like it!❤

I just came from the salon. I attempted to do a straight back (cornrows). Listen! I cried tears! They were just pouring out! The pain! I couldn't deal!
On the 4th cornrow I told the hair dresser to stop. I couldn't take it.
Came home and removed the 4 cornrows...
I love my hair texture but it's too much! It's a lot! I am also thinking of chemically blowing out my hair and nje the thought is breaking my heart.😭😭
