1962 Shriner Parade Corvette

One of 13 specially prepared Corvettes by GM for the Tangier Shriner Fraternity and the only surviving example. In case you are wondering, the paint color is Royal Heather Amethyst. This video was taken at the 2019 Boca Raton Concours d'Elegance.
According to Tom Parks of Motorcars.com, the reason the car seats were red was because “The Shriners ordered ‘Vettes every year as part of the charitable organization’s promotions, and they wanted them in that metallic Cadillac Eldorado purple. However, the factory was only running red Corvette seats at the time instead of the white ones that would have normally gone with the purple metallic. So, the red seats were a beautiful/hideous mistake.”
