Good video. I use an electric heat gun to warm up my jigs. I heat the big until the lead turns dull, then I sprinkle on the bait just like you do. The heat gun will melt the powder paint, but it won't melt the lead. Obviously, baking the painted lure in the oven will level out the paint job and cure it to it's strongest form. I hope it helps.
Awesome looking spinnerbaits Josh ! A Spinnerbait has been my personal Go-To confidence lure for the last few years. For river Smallies I like the Booyah mini. Love that rainbow trout pattern. Looking forward to some new Pike fishing videos. Tight lines buddy. Don
You get get the wire forms and hooks at any lure making site. Jann’s Netcraft, Lure Parts Online, Barlows tackle and EBay are a few. As for hooks, pretty much any spinnerbait hook will work. All molds are made for a specific hook, and say so on the mold, but I’ve found every spinner bait hook works in this mold
Can u provide a list of stuff I need to make these... I need to get busy I've been wanting my own custom colors forever. Any thoughts on wire tying skirts rather than the rubber band
I don’t usually comment, but I’m looking to get into making spinnerbaits and I thought this was fantastic and will be using it as I go along. You went very well into detail about whatever the task at hand was and you did a fantastic job, those baits look amazing!
I really liked your video, your work is excellent, I am sorry to live so far I really wanted a spinner of yours, if one day you want to give me one as a gift and send it to a brother in Brazil I will be very happy lol
Depends on how many you want to make. The molds are around $40. Hooks are around $20-30 per hundred. Lead is around $3-4 per lb. The paint is $6-7 per jar. Blades can get expensive, $1+ for the quality ones, misc components are 5-50c each. The heat source can be cheap or expensive. Roughly I’d say less than $300 total with heat source, mold and components.
Thanks for showing us how to make those. Those look great.
Thanks!!
Best spinner bait making video I’ve seen

Can this be done on a normal camping propane burner? Or will I need to upgrade to a burner specifically designed to melt metals?
A normal camping burner will work fine.
How much in cost do you have in making say a 5/8 spinnerbait total? Thank you for the video.

I'm curious if I'd like to get into this where can I get the supplies?
There’s a bunch of online suppliers. Jann’s Net Craft, Lure Parts Online, Hagens, Do It Mold cooperation just to name a few!
You ever sell these? I'd be interested in a few. I'm near Augusta.
I sell a few. Best way to get a hold of me is through Instagram or FB
Where do you get your lure components?

Shooootttttt. 15 dollar mega bass who? lol
Dang size 8 blade 😮😮
Awesome tutorial!
Quick question: When fishing, do you add a plastic on the hook to make it sorta kinda "more appealing" ?
I don’t. I used to use a small twin tail trailer. But don’t find it helped any. Many people do use trailers tho.
Those look like they’ll catch plenty of fish 👀
1000’s over that last 12 years!!
