Those skirt kits would be great for making jig skirts.. As they are always falling apart. Thank you for giving us years of wisdom. God bless you and your loved ones
Thanks Roland i really love watching you tinker around and make all these different baits in your shop. The best part is how happy it makes you, i love seeing you like that. Ill catch you later. God Bless and i hope you catch some more biggins this week.
It's so cool to learn from Roland, a very good teacher explaining down to the nitty gritty details. This video is another of many keepers! Thanks Roland; a fan since the 70's.
Thanks Roland for sharing this valuable information. It’s worth watching just to see the sheer joy on your face when you showed the old Blue Fox spinning blades. I’m retired now, and can fish whenever I’m able. It’s been a lifelong passion for me also as an noncompetitive angler. Love that you’re on UA-cam! Thanks buddy. 😎🎣👍🏼
They make special pliers to make those bends as well a lot faster than the bench tool. The plier blades are tapered so you can make a bigger or tighter bend
@@vincentlivoti4184 you seem informed on the process ..just curious if you know the process of attaching the head to the wire,or do you just buy them connected?
@@datruthhurts3984 You can pre-made heads with the wire built into it. The only other option would be to buy a spinnerbait head, mold and the wire as well. They make pre-formed wires, but you'd have to be casting molten lead which is not all that much fun and then you'd have to paint the spinnerbait heads. It's a lot cheaper to buy pre-made heads with the wire built into them already. The only wire been you'll need to make then would be for attaching the blades with the swivel
You are very talented Roland. You make wooden lures, soft plastic baits and spinnerbaits, not to mention Turkey calls and wooden bowls and etc., etc., etc..
Roland you are the man. If you have the time links to the products in your description would be really helpful to your viewers if they want to buy that stuff. Im a teacher and I know you were too. Resources are always helpful. I’ve been watching you since I was a kid. Good video.
Fabulous HOW TO ! thanks! will be looking for that skirt making kit. For sure this will improve my spinnerbait fishing I usually go with a Colorado but will switch some to those Indiana's - amazing, how such a simple design really does take some thought into it to get it to "work" right - my partner is waiting on the return of pork, I'm still working a long worm trailer for a snake effect (And DON'T FORGET TO HIT THAT LIKE BUTTON)
Whoops - should have said WILLOW leaf not Indiana blades, yeah, those kits are out of stock but the tool and separate skirt material and collars are out there
Those aren’t “needle nose” pliers 😑.. and he just used the pliers to hold the head so he could bend one more time, that’s the hook end ya know? 🤷♂️🤦♂️
Roland's should be teaching us, not how to put on a skirt, but how to get the skirts off. Because Roland gets the pants down because he's such a handsome guy

Been using all your teachings and been very successful!

They wires seem to break just below the line tie. I just reel up blades.
