You are not alone, that scene where Dumbo visits his mother, always breaks my heart and makes me bawl my eyes out. I was legit crying with you while watching this. As someone who lost her mum back in 2009 this really hits hard for me cause I was her one and only baby and the song reminds me so much of her singing to me when I was a little girl.
Man I also cried watching this... Dumbo is already VERY upsetting to watch for me, but watching someone else having the same reaction on top of it... Man it hits hard. 😭

Elephants aren't scared of mice, BUT they are really sensitive about stuff getting stuck in the soles of their feet, which can get irritated due to how padded they are. So very small things moving past them will cause them to take a few spooked step backs and be mindful of it
Baby mine always makes me cry. Dumbo should have been with his mama! She only lost her temper to protect her baby!! 😢😭😭🐘🐘💗
The scene where Dumbo's mom cradles him makes me cry :( Also I love Sterling Holloway -- there'll never be another voice like his. When I was a kid, I thought the alcohol in the barrel was ginger ale 😂
The scene of the ravens that cry when they listen Dumbo's story is a great scene.😢😢
Even the most macho, hairy-chested male weeps at the scene of dumbo and his imprisoned mother

That scene from Dumbo where Mrs.Jumbo sang Baby Mine to Dumbo makes me cry too.
Even though we can't hear Baby Mine music we all know it by heart. Most of us who grew up watching this.
I always cry my heart out watching this movie, the second you started crying forget about it...
I felt your pain when He hugs Mrs. Jumbo as He started sobbing emotionally.

Walt Disney got a bit sick of Snow White afterwards because people kept comparing Pinocchio and Fantasia with it, the audience wanted more dwarfs and Disney experienced that with Three Little Pigs, his studio did three sequel shorts The Big Bad Wolf, Three Little Wolves and The Practical Pig, though they were less succesful compared to the original, making Walt say "You can't top pigs with pigs." which he why didn't believe in doing sequels.
What adds tragedy to this is Dumbo's mother is "Mrs." Jumbo, which makes you realize Dumbo's father was THE Jumbo. And we all know what became of him.
It's all right, Love. I cried for little Dumbo too.

If this movie taught me anything it's this: You *do not* f*ck with Maternal Instinct.
Sterling Holloway also did the voice of Winnie the Pooh and reprised the voice of Mr. Stork and being narrator in the Disney short Lambert the Sheepish Lion. He has also narrated other Disney shorts such as Susie the Little Blue Coup.
He also voiced Kaa in "the Jungle Book" and the Cheshire Cat in "Alice in Wonderland"...

Man every time I see this movie I just want to go in there and protect Dumbo from all the jerkwads in the movie. He is just too cute and precious to go through all this turmoil😢😢
In the interviews with The Nine Old Men, they've denied that they smoked anything when coming up Elephants on Parade, it's just coming from their imaginations.

Has anyone seen the live Action Dumbo? The movie live action was well done.

One of Disney’s shortest animated movies, clocking in at just over an hour, roughly tied in with the 2011 Winnie the Pooh film and Stitch! The Movie, only the latter was a pilot to the respective TV seriously of Lilo and Stitch. The shortest Disney animated classic, however, is Saludos Amigos from 1943, clocking in at a mere 43 minutes.
