@@michaelmartinez8250 watch UA-camrs on consoles gameplay and maybe pause often as you watch, like every micro decision and think, "what would I do in that exact moment?" then compare it to what they do. I've learned so many micro decision making that makes the difference in clutching up in a fight. Also obviously aim skills are like 70% of it
Dude my experience with advanced look controls is EXACTLY what you described at 9:04-9:55. It would feel great one day, then the next day it just felt really weird, and almost every day I would have to keep adjusting it. Definitely switching back to the regular settings.
I wish ALC showed actual numerical values as opposed to just a solid horizontal bar. It’d make setting it up so much more convenient and less of a pain
I completely agree. I use ALC, but for it to be more ideal, it should definitely show numerical values, and let you type in values manually. The values should also correlate to regular settings (ex: 3.0 yaw speed = 3 Look Sens. There should also be more indicators on the slider for reference points to normal controls, like showing you what numeric value equals a "small deadzone," or have the option to choose certain response curves as a base, so you can tweak them with a better understanding. I think ALC is great, but they can definitely improve the UI to make it easier to navigate and understand
I too have messed around with ALC quite a lot but at the end of the day the regular ones are just that much easier to "get right". One thing that would make them really, really, really usable would be so that when you have say 4,3 classic with a small deadzone chosen, they would transfer thise exact values to the ALC. Then it would be so much easier to maybe tune down the pitch speed for example.
You have no issues with regular controls because you’re used to them. ALC is hard to perfect, yes, but they offer sooo many more opportunities than regular controls, by FAR With ALC I can barely move my thumb stick and I can easily one clip enemies with (who have purple shields) with a stock r-99
Advanced Look Controls. I have tested multiple times. The thing is with regular setting it will always have a nice feeling I guess but with ALC you can have a perfect feeling as you are consistent with it I guess. I dont know if it was because I had not played in 2 weeks that made me outgrow my previous settings but honestly ALC has improved my skills. I had hated apex mainly because I sucked at it at the beginning when fortnite was still popping. But over during season 3 I had gotten into the apex flow with a .43 lifetime kd and barley any games played now I have go it to a 1.23 kd with over 700k lifetime damage and over 3k kills lifetime.
I used to change my ALC settings trying to get it perfect but what always made me dubious was that my favorite Goated UA-camrs used normal controls and i thought if they all do it so can I.
Extra pitch and yaw + ramp up time = acceleration and when it kicks in. Outer threshold is just outer deadzone. Will your stick register movements at the outer edge as opposed the the inner movements
I’ve been improving so much with ur tips. When I played with you when u did playing with subs, I had 600 kills on wraith. Now I’m on 2k and have improved a lot
I’ve personally switched to ALC at the end of season 3 and I have to say it’s the best thing I’ve ever done my aim is insane I used to play with no dead zones and on 6-5 btw Here’s a tip for anyone that wants to tryout ALC You’re not gonna like it if it is not set up a certain way for you my set up is pretty perfect for me just a heads up for anyone That would like to try it lol P.S You listed a con as menu confusion There’s a reason why it’s called “ADVANCED” look controls If you are new to the game you shouldn’t be worrying about stuff like this at a lower level However when you start to grasp how to play the game and you start getting better that’s when you should start looking into stuff like this There’s a reason why there’s a more basic set up for those players not a con for me. Great video though!
Yea it improved my aim but my moveing around with my sensitivity and stuff feels so werid. I tried these settings twice now, my friend said I should use em cause it would be a huge improvement at the game. Today I thought I got it to a semi comfortable position but tbh it does improve my aim with all auto, but with wingman and stuff, my shots still hit but thw issuse is the sensitivity, I can't find the right sens, also the aim assist just does make my aim werid but it does improve my accuracy by a bit. But overall Imma just keep using normal settings. I will improve my overall aim but it will take a bit. Idk when people use advanced look controls but sometimes I run into someone who can beam me from 50-75 meters away and I'm wraith and I also phase, and uses around 2/4 - 3/4 (With a havoc) of a clip. But the advanced look does improve your aim my R99 beams and I don't have to do to much input, but the thing is I'm used to putting in a lot of input so when I put that input in, I miss shots.
I personally went back to normal control controls I hated how advance had a gauge for up or down would have been better if it was number like 4-4.9 so I know what sensitivity range I was in
I agree, if they added some sort of number to show how much it actually is compared to just judging it based off looks. I reckon ALC would be used a lot more with that
I stopped using ALC right after I realized the sheer time table I'd have to set into to find the perfect sense. Honestly it's the better idea for hardcore vets that play all day, but if you're a casual player or even a just above average player, it's not worth the work.
ive been haveing a tough time trying to find which is better im switching between ALC that works for about 3 days then it feels terrible i changeing all day then go back to normal sens then it feels slow and im just a lost boy bruh
I've been using ALC for a while. I try other settings when you make a video about it, play one game get mad and go back to ALC. I was hoping I could use linear I'm not a patient person.
@@frazix7075 yesterday I tried again and stayed in range for a while, with a 4/3 sense large deadzone. I played some quick play dropping hot with Gibby (haven't seriously played him since season 0, but he's meta so...) on like my 4th game got 9 kill 2200 damage win with the man. I guess I'll just get the hang of it.
@@joeon1416 I hear a lot about Linear sens, but It makes my stick drift more than it already does (I have crazy control drift on my left joystick). Should I just stick with Classic? I don't quite understand what linear is or does yet.
I’ve been using alc for a long time. Know what each setting does and where to set em to replicate different things. The problem is exactly what you mentioned. One day I can feel like I have the most op settings then the next day I’m changing everything because it feels so wack like I’ve never picked up a controller before. There isn’t perfect alc settings you’ll always be tweaking. It’s just not worth the time. Put on linear 5-3 and forget about it
Not for me at least. I’ve been using alc and I just get used used to my setting everytime i pick it up again. Before i played with 6 5 no deadzone and my recoil control was whack. I’m 3 months in and ive only changed my deadzone by one tick. Best decision ive ever made
The regular settings shown in this video are not the current ones I am using*** just an fyi
Got it 😉
Can u make a rank tip video

That’s a really good idea. Also they should have number values on the adjustment bars - I have no idea why they haven’t added those yet
Seriously need to implement this!
