I still remember when KFC released an otherworldly dating sim game with "I Love You, Colonel Sanders" on Steam, featuring bishonen Colonel Sanders, and I still remember the Burger King games for Xbox 360. Dunno if it can compare to this GBC hilarity though!

Its crazy just how popular those guys where at one time. A 1990s survey was done where kids would look at the picture of a famous character/person and name them. Number 1 for most recognized was Jesus. Guess who was also tie at number 1 for most recognized with the kids? Ronald McDonald
I don’t like MCD food or care much about the company, but those background graphics are lush-there was clearly a lot of love put into this. I hope it starts a trend, I want to see people with lots of money funding new games for old systems
This is giving me _"Wally Bear & the NO Gang"_ vibes. Ironically, this strange tie-in looks better than that piece of garbage. For a GBC homebrew, the graphics look really good. Very colorful with so much detail in each background, decent character animation and everyone looks pretty accurate. It's right up there with _"Hime's Quest."_ Although, the game's "Freeskate" mode doesn't look finished as it is riddled with graphical glitches (EDIT: They fixed them in later revisions). The music isn't too bad, either. Gameplay isn't incredibly innovative, but it's still good fun and doesn't overstay its welcome thanks to its very short length. And the absurd amount of internet slang fake tweets thrown into this game, that will in no way date it by about a decade or two, absolutely *_kills_* me 🤣. Honestly, I'm impressed that Krool Games managed to make a decent tie-in.

Well, this is... interesting. It's a pleasant surprise to see an "actual" new game for an older system (not counting homebrew games), let alone a new, decent licenced/tie-in game for an older system. Sure enough, the 8-bit graphics are lovely, the chiptune music sounds pretty good and the gameplay is passable. I take issue with the presence of internet slang, though, even considering the alleged target demographic. It doesn't fit the specific medium/platform in which they tried to force it and it's just painful to see.

The Gameboy and Gameboy Color have a pretty decent indie presence, with a fair amount of recent physically released indie games.
Apparently this game was made in GB Studio, which likely explains why it works on real hardware.
