Thank you so much Phyllis... over the last year and a half whenever I question if I should continue making these videos the comments from people like you lift me up ... i am so grateful for every single one of you 🙂
Thank God for Ramsey. This young man doesn't have the faintest inkling of what he has ignited in me. He speaks my language, so eloquently and precisely. His passion for perfumery reminds me of a younger me. Discovered his channel recently, since then I've been on a hunt for vintages. Most of these gems I grew up with, it's like going through the vistas of bygone times. With that being said, Ramsey said something very interesting and equally important, if I may paraphrase him, connoisseurs of good perfumes should be more interested in the 'noses' rather the houses. He's bloody right. Over the decades I've had my favourite 'noses', almost all of the time they never ceased to amaze me. You're doing a great job Ramsey, keep it up, thank you.
Edmond Roudnitska is one of the best composers ever, loved the video great job brother.Eau d’hermes is my favourite as well..today I ordered the last 5 bottles of Jacques bogart signature I could find in Canada, ordered it from maximum fragrance the owner is Eugene’s friend.I love the fragrance I never want to be without it
I still have a bottle of Edmond Roudnitiska’s Le Parfume De Therese and although it is an original version, it still smells beautiful. Somehow, I do not think it was ever that popular nor recognized for what it really is. Thank you Ram for bringing it back into our radar.
Child-friendly😂👍 I own most of the bottles you showed and dislike citruses as much as you do but Eau Sauvage has that Roudnitska magic that over the years it became the no.1
This is fascinating! I'm new to fragrances and I learned so much. I wear Diorissimo frequently in the spring. Lily Of The Valley is my favorite flower. (Unfortunately, I don't have a vintage bottle. Wish I did!)
I seldom talk to the person as I watch a video, but my 3 favorite perfumers are Ernest Daltroff, Edmond Roudnitska, and JP Guerlain. I bought Femme because they say it smells related to Mitsouko-- not really to my nose. Diorella and Eau Sauvage are definitely related, I owned Diorella in the 70s and LOVED it then. I loved smelling Eau Savage on a man, citrus yes, but a little bit of elegant skank underneath. I go to Sephora and smell the new feminines and blech. I wear mostly vintage because I am vintage (67) and used to go in ordinary department stores in the 70s and there sat all the perfumes of that day in their original forms when perfumers could take their time and be an artist. I used to smell these fragrances on people, they were just so good!--- no ingredients ban or reformulations they would try to deny. I was nodding and agreeing and trying to guess how you would rank them all and just enjoying the heck out of this video. I'll have to get my 90s bottle of Femme out( did you know the shape of the bottle was rumored to be an homage to Mae Wests figure?) and give it a sniff. Thank you, Ramsey from a kindred fume head!
Thank you for a beautiful comment to read Carol... yes I knew that about the femme bottle but I always forget who the woman whos hips were so amazing to have inspired such a beautiful bottles name was on the spot when I want to tell the story 🤦♂️😂 If you love Rochas femme you have to try VC&A Gem one day! It is literally a 💎

I can hear the wife now 😅 He in there making love to his fragrances. Kinda like the Young Guns movie when they can't find Chavez. " He's out there doing it with his horse " Regulators !!! 😅
Just discovered this channel, and it's great!! Amazing to see somebody with this taste in perfumery! I am curious to hear your opinion on Roja Apex, what do you think about it?
You inspired me to wear my vintage 'Miss Dior' today. My God, it was stunning. I instantly got 'Diaghilev' vibes. I was looking at the box, and I knew it was old (short ingredient list), but realised for the first time it has no barcode. The one I have is the houndstooth bottle. Any idea when that might be from? I was thinking possibly 70's. Many thanks, Ram.
Probably you are spot on... it is stunning... there is a bit of Diaghilev in there I see what you mean... its a proper Chypre... our grandmothers smelled amazing 😄😂😂😂
Might i recommend a swear jar is needed 🤐🤣 Just missing some old Dior big hitters that nobody seems to talk about Dior Dior and Diorama (1948 not Prive)... I find it strange that parfumo only credits one reformulation as i would have thought he'd also be responsible for the Diorling reformulation, with it being another Paul Vacher and imo Vacher's masterpiece, but again it's hardly ever spoken of because it's rare in original form.
Thank you Ramsey for every thing u do for our community Your videos is very educative I try to watch every minute and read all comments and your replies Hermes Eau D'hermes what i can say about it 4 backup bottles (coppoer cap)
Ramsey has not only re-ignited me but most of us. No one else does these kind of videos and truly knows the fragrances.
