- A ton of new characters for Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled just got dropped on us yesterday morning! So let's take a look at the origins of these strange new faces!

I want the Nirto Kart story to be added as a dlc at some point. They already have the tracks and bosses, so it shouldn't be too hard.

@@wingedassassin9999 and also we'll getting norm and big norm as separates, and like the examples from down below your comment, crunch is a crash with a big muscular body, and N.Brio and Koala Kong aren't skins from N.Cortex and Tiny Tiger respectively anyway they're separate characters one from each other.
Also, are we gonna talk about the fact that Chick and Stew from Tag Team Racing cameoed in the last trailer?

Treble Clef Guy they did say all race tracks will have their original theme like a jukebox switch feature so it’s looking like that might be a possibility that theme was my favorite I want it too

While Velo's fake look was non-playable back then, it makes him look cool.

Man Beenox really delivered I was originally gonna be a Oxide main he was my second favorite character and I thought it was strictly CTR but now that Big Velo is Potentially Playable which was my all time favorite Crash racing Boss I’m even more happy and satisfied

Not quite. While you can play CTR Challenges, Relic Races and Bonus Rounds in Arcade Mode now, which includes the CNK tracks, it doesn't look like they're implementing CNK's Adventure Mode campaign.

Great video, man. Nice breakdown for the people who are unfamiliar with these characters. I would have never guessed that the CNK bosses and Zem and Zam would ever return to the Crash universe. That being said, I'm super excited to see them all come back as CNK has always been one of my favorite Crash games!

CTR Nitro Fueled is looking better in every second! I can’t wait to play as the CNK characters and tracks!
I was about to make mention of the "Tiny's planet number one" bit, but ya snuck it in at the end. One of the best moments in the entire story mode in my opinion.
I just noticed Nash has an Austin Power's reference right there on his head...
CNK is the only one Crash racing that I have played. And I still have it on GameCube.
I remember playing C.N.K. as a kid on my gamecube it took me a few times to beat the final boss as a kid was a good game hope they remake it

Sharks breathe though what’s called ram ventilation, which means they need to constantly be moving to push new water into their mouths so they don’t suffocate. It’s sorta like running with a kite, but instead of a kite, it’s your lungs, and if you stop running, you die
I’m so excited about CNK bosses in the game! I didn’t wanna get my hopes up, but I’m so hype that they actually did it! I’m gonna main Geary for sure :)
I hope they also have the entire nitro kart story mode as well
note: On the GBA version of Nitro Kart, the bosses are playable along with Spyro and Fake Velo.

Holy shit I used to play the gameboy version and then got the PS2 and was so mad when the bosses weren’t playable on there... now look... they are back ready for me to get my hands on them!!

In the cut scene it shows velo has a gold boss kart but in the race he has the same as the other nitro kart bosses. Why?
I recently completed Nitro Kart again. So much fun
is the remake going to have the story modes from both ctr and nitro fueled or just ctr?
That rumor on the sharks needing to move actually is true for a few species of shark. Such as the great white shark. Mainly due to the fact that when they move the hydrogen in them is pushed out of their gills like water from a filter.
Krunk will play with the yo-yo Crash gave him when he's idle.
Now, I want to see how the adventure mode will happen, since CNK characters are added.
Do you reckon we'll get their purple hoverkart designs as a customisation option?
I was surprised by how many people didn’t recognize the bosses being from nitro kart
So from all this the only character so far that hasn’t been confirmed is Penta Penguin and I’m not sure about CTTR characters yet
@stomper1232 If we can get the karts and alternate skins that came from Tag Team Racing, there's a chance well get the characters from that game too.

Penta Penguin has been confirmed to be in the game. Don't ask for sources, you'll have to take my word for it, but you'll see. He'll soon be revealed alongside Fake Velo.

Trivia: Steve Blum, (who voiced Emperor Velo) also voiced Crash himself in CNK.
I like how the video says he can't wait what they see beenox does with Geary, considering how he was one of the only base characters who never got a champion skin during any of the grand prix

tfw you're like "uh, who doesn't know these characters?" but then remember that CNK was almost 16 years ago so there's a big generation gap of young gamers never having grown up with it or the other 90s-00s Crash games
That being said, I'm happy this channel exists to provide context to these characters younger generations might not be familiar with. It's silly to harp on kids who aren't aware of these things from our time, and just because it's new and different from ours doesn't inherently make it any better or worse. Can we appreciate the fact that in the cutscene where Oxide is ready to face you for the final battle he calls you a "Terra Vermin" even in the original CTR,
which refers the world Terra from Nitro kart that looks awfully similar to Earth.
They better put Komodo moe, and I’m excited to hear their dialogue!
I really hope we also get access to the boss hover bikes. Maybe just a little smaller go accommodate every racer of.course

Bilbaosaur Both first bossed from CTR and CNK are beginner class. Seems appropriate. One boss per game for each stat.

Considering Crash having far less characters than Sonic and Mario, with Sonic making weird character choices in Team Sonic Racing and Mario making costumes and recolors and baby versions separate characters in Mario Kart 8 and Deluxe, I'm glad of the bosses' return.

It actually depends on the species of shark that has to keep moving. It’s mostly open ocean sharks that breathe through ram ventilation, by keeping their mouths open and have the water pass through their gills. This is for sharks like Great Whites, Whales, And Makos. Other sharks have spiracles, and breathe by actively pumping water over their gills with their cheeks

Y'know who I think should be playable? Willie Wumpa Cheeks. Despite being an NPC in Tag Team Racing, he is the main villain of that game's Story Mode and thus has as much prominence as Pasadena and Von Clutch do. I can imagine Willie at least making a cameo due to Chick and Stew, two other Tag Team Racing NPCs, appearing in Slide Coliseum.
Nina, Pasadena and Von Clutch are the only new playable characters in CTTR, so I can see them being added.
Willie, not sure. A cameo at the very least. It's already mind-blowing that CTTR karts (some which are PSP-exclusive and one that was an unused kart, which shows Beenox is putting in as much as they possibly can) and Chick 'n Stew are in the game.

Yeah, the whole "you gotta race/fight or we'll destroy your planet/universe" tournament cliche is pretty common.

No. They weren't. They affiliated with Velo but they were just ordinary racers
The Norm Race he gameboy advance version of CNK was incredibly easy.
Yes, you did have to race both of them, but the game counted them both as the same entity, so if you were ahead of one of them, the game thought you were in first place, even if the other one was ahead of you.
Technically, that can happen in the ps2 version too where you only have to beat Small Norm. Even though Small Norm is usually in front of Big Norm, if you hit small Norm off the track for example, Big Norm can overtake him. If that happens and you end up finishing behind Big Norm, it will still count as a victory.
