Just found this video, thank you for the upload! It has given me a real exciting feeling in my heart! On our local pond someones dog killed the pen last week and so the cob is sitting on the nest and hasn't moved since she was murdered 😢 i am feeding him daily to make sure he is a strong daddy when his babies hatch he has 4 to look forward to! Just not sure how long they have already been sitting on them so I'm in for at least 6 weeks of daily feeding i am now a week in. Our local wildlife rescue has said if the eggs were not going to hatch he would of abandoned the nest so we are pretty sure they are on their way! Everyone local has done their bit too all checking him at different hours of the day and the pond bailiff has built a barrier around him to stop other dogs attacking him, he is very sad and depressed at the moment but he's stepped up! Like a true daddy and he's doing his best, cant wait to see the babies! 🤗
There's a small island surrounded by some water near where I live. The water froze which enabled teenagers from the local school to walk over to a swans nest, they took her eggs and smashed them on the ice.
I wonder what bthey live on in the first days, are they being fed by their mums with...well with what? It's not like cats or dogs that feed their litte ones with milk...

Maybe the dog should be put to sleep and the owner jailed for causing the wrongful death of an innocent? Lol
