My friend has an XL and it's kind of ridiculous. I thought he forgot to install the recoil spring the first time I racked the slide, it was that light. I've ran a few bill drills with it and I'm actually slower with it than with my P. The gun runs so fast that it's easy to let it get away from you unless you practice with it.
They did have a staccato P in 5 inch in 2019 early 2020 for a very short period before they decided the 4.45” was the optimum barrel length for a 9mm. Sort of like Atlas gunworks and their philosophy on 4.6” guns like Athena and Hyperion.
Had a chance to test out this magnificent pistol last week at my local gun range. The slide is indeed butterfly smooth. You can really rack it by slide it against your belt. Definitely will invest in this
I shot both and the xl seemed to please me more I have no idea why (both were insane flat shooting). Now I’m torn and have to rent them again and experiment some more before the purchase 😂
Why did they go with that length? So before the change, STI had this really nice competition gun called the DVC 3-Gun. The only difference between that Staccato and the older STI is the lightening cuts. They just kept the machining and upped the price. Also, that grip is kinda goofy, my DVC has the dragon-scale grips, the newer XL that a local range rents out has the dragon-scale grips, too. I tried my DVC versus the XL back to back with Federal Syntec, since that's a competition round. No noticeable difference in everything except the recoil. Unfortunately, the rental had an optic installed, which changed the weight of the slide.
Hell I would by any dam gun no matter the price if I had big sponsors and constant donations but I don't so I will not be buying those just to buy I will just upgrade my M&P 2.0 10mm. On a side not this is a sexy gum and nice explanation of the gun. Thanks for making it clear and using language that everyone can understand. Nice! M&P’s with apex triggers are amazing! I own a dozen of them and have apex triggers in all of them. I’d take them over a Glock any day of the week and twice on Sundays. They are superior in every way to a Glock and they look way better.
I wish they weren't so fucking expensive I used to have a 70 year old colt 1911 in 38.super but the case isn't closed so I still don't have it back but I miss het
@@rdrgear I really don't understand all this fuss about the grip safety. I just bought my first 1911 and tried it out it is not hard to manipulate the grip safety...🤷
There's this one gun store I've been too over the past week, they have a few staccato's. I know everyone's taste is different but, I can't see where the staccato's are worth what they are asking for them. I wanted the canik sfx rival and that's what I got. Thousands of $ cheaper and not 1 bad review that I could find.
its just so aesthetically pleasing

So I'm confused is it good thing or bad thing because I'm considering one I already have a"p"
Gun shot so flat it was insane. XL looks like a giant but to me felt lighter than the XC. I rented both and leaning towards the xl

The XC is actually better if you can believe it. I have the XC and my brother has the XL, you can’t go wrong with either one

my dream gun
How much?
Beautiful pistol. Shoots great. I own the same pistol in Chrome and DXL black. By far the best pistol I’ve ever owned and is my EDC.
You get money 😎
All I got is this algorithm comment cuz dang that’s a REALLY NICE pistol that I won’t be able to ever afford.
Guess I’ll stick with my G19x 🤷🏻♂️😁

STOCATTO, huh?
Imagine a review where you shot more than 100 rounds through a firearm that you received
If you wanna start paying for the ammo. Or just maybe I shot more than 100 rounds prior to the filming
Imagine poor people reviewing stuff they can't afford to buy ammo for. Lol
