Those little Echo saws are only good for cutting up limbs around the yard. The first saw good for bucking starts at 45 cc’s, even though I have a few that are a little smaller, like my Stihl 024, 025, 026 and MS 260. The MS 250 is the bare minimum for bucking and I have two of them - one I built and one I bought from Stihl. Another decent bucking saw is my Poulan S25DAthat I bought new in ‘85. I generally grab my MS 360for bucking big stuff or my MS 440. Either one will go through 20+inch logs pretty quick, but they are heavier than my smaller saws. I do it take a saw bucking that has to gnaw through a log, like that little Echo. Even my MS 170 will cut faster than that Echo. Low Profile chains and bars are for limb cutting. .325 and 3/8” chains are for serious cutting.
No comparison ! -- The Badass Always Rules !
Great to see ya again, Dave !
homeowners have no clue. They think buying any saw will do. This is the difference between spending 2 hours or 45 mins to do the same job

VW Beatle (original style) vs Porche...lol
Bigger is faster! Proven by Dave…
Some very dull chains so it’s not really proving anything.
Both were freshly sharpened, actually! Hard wood isn’t easy on a saw, that’s for sure.
