Good to see some of Jill’s side of the story finally getting out there. No coach is perfect, but back-to-back World Cups is not a small feat.

Definitely and to hear the amount of details of the process n the reasoning behind her decisions. Did her decisions always payed off? No. Did I always agree with her decisions? No. But I always respect her and know there was a method to it.

Jill is an absolute gangster in all the best senses of the word. So epic. Idk if vlatko has that in him. We will see. I always thought Jill’s experimentation was always going to lead to good things. The women’s game at that moment in time was progressing so much that we needed to move the program forward. Any successful person will have detractors, she did an amazing job. I could only wish we have managers with the self belief that she had moving forward. She was absolutely phenomenal.

Finally got around to watching this episode. Phenomenal insight! Kelly has been one of my favorite players, both for the USWNT and the Washington Spirit. Jill was a great manager and, more importantly, the right person at the right time. Best wishes to both on their future endeavors.

Been a USWNT fan(atic) since 2007, and apart from Abby’s “holy header” in 2011 against Brazil, I consider Kelley’s fierce, charging goal against Germany in 2015 WC (semi-final) to be one of the most critical goals in recent team history. Germany had been playing very rough, physically aggressive soccer all day and the US were in no way dominating or guaranteed to win. But Kelley’s perfectly timed and fearless charge in the box, anticipating Carli’s pass and converting the goal was truly epic. There’s really nothing like that specific match-moment in the team’s recent history that has so fundamentally changed the vibe and outcome of a competitive match; and I think it’s the single most important catalyst to the greatness we USWNT fans enjoy today. On another note, it’s amazing to see Kelley’s recent captaining & leading the new young squad for Vlatko. Finally, Jill Ellis, can’t thank her enough for all the amazing memories - her management of all the bigs on the team, plus her allowing Tony and Dawn to be the absolute best at what they do, was the epitome of leadership and being a boss…forever hats-off to her!!! Can’t wait for June and July!

So players wanted her out because she was trying to further improve the system and that included adding a very different type of player like Rose Lavelle, she stuck to her conviction and it paid off. Vlatko is going through a similar situation right now with the ancients vs new blood issue and it will be interesting to see what's his ultimate commitment will be.

Thoroughly enjoyed the interview. Been an avid women's football fan for 8 years. First time seeing this channel. Great job Kelley. Love how relaxed and natural you are as an interviewer. And Jill was so candid which is refreshing. I am going to subscribe and look forward to more shows. And, liked the longer format of an hour long interview. Allows you to dig deeper. Super excited to see more.

To steal a phrase from Harry S. Truman, who was probably paraphrasing someone else, "the buck stops here." Coaching and leadership isn't for everybody; back-to-back WWC titles is remarkable.

NO to the world cup every 2 years, it'll lose its specialness...there's an appeal & build up when you have to wait for 4 years....just create other tournaments that can happen every 2 years.

Of course the older players (Llyod, Rapinoe, Krieger, etc) hated Jill. They were able to get automatic call-ups based on past achievements and Jill didn't call up ppl for popularity/political reasons. Krieger hasn't been called up in years, is that still Jill's fault? haha

    THERE IS SOMETHING:
    * If u have to see it for what it is u gotta be clean
    * If u are not, u cant find the truth
    * It is like to see a thing at 20 km in the see= impossible, cuz the way the world is
    * Something is see things, something is knowing things and dont care
    * It is like when u need a hole there is a "woman" and she's sick... and police make pictures knowing the illness of the girl and the hole= but if they are not arrested it means it is the beginning of the cruelty= simply dont agree
