I think other all this is a hard set for LEGO to pull of. The ship is just so geometrically precise and linear. I think you did some nice mods. 👍🏻
I personally will try to mod this ship without stickers and I want to see if I can put a proper tip onto the from. Have you tried pulling that shield shaped tile forward to make a point?

As for the shield piece, I'd actually recommend the same wedge pieces I used with the canopy mod. Add a couple tile pieces behind it and it should tie it together very well. :)

Thank you for fixing the mistakes! I found this video just after I ordered the set and it came as a relief after I heard about the wing gap,they should chill out with them stud shooters lol

I was able to fix the baby bump issue with no extra pieces. Sacrificed the storage, but I was fine with it considering it looks so much sleeker. But I am still able to store the dish in there, so it’s really nice

Absolutely! The sets are very similarly designed so most of these mods will work. A small engine redesign would be needed for the back landing gear, but otherwise the other mods will work 👍

its better... but not by a ton. that first mod is a no-brainer though.. why doesn't the official set have those rails??
