ohbh and consistency in the same phrase... lmao. totally overrated type of backhand. Only work when the opponent gives easy ball and on fast court. But eh, ohbh is labelled as 'elegant' so anyone doing it is automitically labelled genius even if it's one good shot like this over 651616223 average to boring where they just keep slicing the ball over and over and over. Not talking about Shapo here, but absolutely ALL players with ohbh
Shapo might have the smoothest one handed backhand in the modern day era. Such a spectacular talent. Soon his major will come! I can forever come back and watch his backhand in action.
Presumably the purest talent of the young generation (with the italian L. Musetti), the difficulty being his unfortunately limited mental capacities and a strong tendency to give up when everything is not in line. Looking backwards, three years ago and while he was barely 20, everyone thought he would make it to the ATP top 5 and won multiple grand slams... He is now ranked at the 15th position, has just won an ATP 250 event and, worst, does not show any improvement in numerous departments. That being said, he performed well at Wimbledon 21 (SF) and AO 22 (QF), he still has an incredible potential and is a pure joy to watch in a good day...
@@Misayah29 At first I didn´t like that sentence either. But I think he refers to mental toughness and confidence, crucial aspects that makes you win matches when everything seems to go wrong. Those aspects are even more important than technique in many disciplines but specially tennis, I know it because I play tennis and I've been struggling with that mental part in the past too, lol
Shapo just needs to shorten his forehand swing a bit and he is ready to win slam, imo his backswing is massive and needs too much time to set up, the rest of his game is GS ready.
Very talented player but he lacks of focus and in some way mental strength. Doesn't really have strategy and relies too much on trick shots. Hope he can improve on that side because I feel the potential is there same with Musetti. Very stylish players but their mindset is stopping them to evolve in my opinion but perhaps I'm wrong
Shapos backhand is one of the cleanest shots on tour.
Yeah that is why it provides him with 20+ unforced per match
Wish i had more consistent people to play coop games with man
Hell yeah it is
@@SafiRo00 Exactly
when it works😭
One of the most talented players in this generation... I hope he figures it out
when it lands its probably the most beautifull shot on the tour, wish it was more consistent

@Ludo045 Why are you so butthurt?
Just stfu and enjoy the video.
most stylish backhand happy birthday man
Can we get some more tho josh love this kinda stuff lad make it happen gooood content
Shapovalov's backhand is Elegant and Majestic.
Love his backhand it is elegant
Once he starts cutting down on the errors I deff see him winning slams. His power is already there. He has a lot of time to improve
the extension of his back hand in truly a piece of art, happy 23rd birthday, the future grand slam winner!

At this level is art 🖼
It’s a mesmerizing shot.
Love that backhand... So beautiful. Hope he gonna back with his best level :)
He sure is fun to watch!!
Not for the umpires
His one hand is up 🔝 with Wawrinka and Federer 🔥🎾
And Gasquet.
so pure technic
I love his backhand!!
So so special...esp the jump up one.
Shapvolov is one of the best Backhand slammers

Why do you say he has limited mental capacities?

@@the_stillborn1 I see. The way he phrased it made me think he was not referring to mental fortitude. lol Thanks for your experience as well. :)
どのシーンも最高かよ
ジャンプしながらのバックがヤバすぎる
HBD KING 💪👌💪👑
Shapo's game is always fun to watch, especially his jumping backhand, but it would be better if he have more consistency
I can't think of a better one handed backhand from a lefty
Very nice
Thanks for showing some shapovalov content. Is this a pre-retirement tribute? Because we rarely see Shapo these days.
he turned 23 today hah
@@ricardodelvillarpizarro7379 what? The same Dimitrov who won the atp finals, 8 titles, a masters and is in the Monte Carlo semis? That one?
So mannarino had hair before!
jumping one handed backhand... I can see the steam coming out of the coaches ears from my couch. hahahaha
Commentators need to watch their mouths when watching this man
かっこよ!!
Shapo surely is one heck of a spectacular player to watch. Shame his attitude on court isn't as spectacular...
If this guy was consistent
best-looking backhand on tour
Stan has entered the chat lol
So has Gasquet
He is definitely powerful and flying athlete.
But definitely not probably a person to copy from, like the artistic one hand backhand like FedEx
Not the deadliest OBH (Stanimal has it), but certainly the most stylish
His backhand is amazing, but does not beat Museti's! Btw, he deserves a similar video, Tennis TV!
The one against Edmund for me 😃
Best just wawrinka
They call it the "Shapo-special"!!
It’s missing the two he hit at Shangai 1000 mastet
Only a little bit of peace and he'll be the best. That's the evolved art of Federer.
That thumbnail tho
Lol who remembers Kyle Edmund?
Completely forgot he existed until he popped up. Crazy he used to be top 20 and best Brit on tour, then vanished below the top 150 outta nowhere

0:22 from who? Ahahah

his FH is better, in my opinion, BH is super clean nevertheless...
The should banned the airborne shot. Always feet on the ground
Great player but can't seem to win consistently
MID PLAYER ❌
Stop dissing him you clown glizzy
U think ur so cool w that comment huh?!?
Mid comment
Kinda new to tennis: Mannarino has had hair before?
Legend has it
Better potential then zverev medvedev tsitsipas but don't have a mental strenght
His forehand is weird
Yes happy birthday Denis. And please come back to live in Canada and pay taxes in the country you claim to represent. 🙂

We need 23 spectacular Denis Shapovalov chokes
1:23, please remove this commentator from ATP , he is so cringe, Don't know any other words than "Oooo, Stop it, Common, R U kidding me" 😌😌
robbie is great, brings some excitment to commentating
I never like this guy.....arrogant!
