The MAGICAL Uses of Hair Sea Salt Spray!

What is sea salt spray used for? This is a product that everyone is curious about but no one knows how to use it.
Sea salt spray adds a gritty, lived in, tousled, beach texture and light hold. 🏖️ 🩱 👙
You know how when you swim in salt water and then let your hair air dry, you end up with this texture and wave you never knew you had? Bottle up that day and VOILA you have sea salt spray!
Curly\Wavy girls - add it to the hair when damp and scrunch before air drying or diffusing
Straight hair girls - add it to the hair when damp, braid, wait until it dries and release.
OR
You can also curl your hair and add it to dry hair for a natural texture feel.

I have to share this. I used salt spray all the time on my short layered "Lisa Rinna" cut. Asked my hairdresser why my hair felt like straw when it was wet. She said that salt spray lifts up the cuticles of your hair strands and it never truly washes out, hence the "roughness" of my hair. That spray went in the trash and I never used it again.

I think that the sea salt spray could have been drying out your hair but it makes absolutely no sense that it doesn’t wash out. Why would a lightweight water based spray not wash out with shampoo? If it was emollient and gripped to the hair strand (like a wax), I could see it but even then it would easily be removed with a clarifying shampoo. I think the issue is that your hair just got too dry but that could be combated with a more moisture rich shampoo and conditioner.

@@GlamGirlGabi I should have added she said the spray gets underneath the cuticle..and doesn't fully wash out. I have always used a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. All I can say is, since I quit using the salt spray, my hair no longer feels that way when wet, as in when using the spray. That's proof enough that salt spray doesn't work for me! But hey, if it works for ya, then go for it!

Salt sea spray has been around for Years! I used it 20 years ago, its a fantastic product supermarkets stock it in Pocket size for your handbag it's amazing
