Yes you can build abs but it's mostly about the percentages of fat
If you have lot of fat on belly then even if you have abs it will not be visible

I m myself into fitness since 3 years , so now after 3 years of grind i can have abs with decent muscle mass , so bodybuilding isn't a game of 3,6 months it takes years of effort to look good u need be be fully dedicated towards your workout and discipline towards your diet

Minimum 7 ya 8 month with 100% Dedication..
I did 75 days challenge and loose 17 kg fat and then gained muscles in next 5 months and decent abs too so it's totally depends on genetics 👍

If you prefer calisthenics instead of traditional gym workouts, it might take about 1 to 1.5 years to achieve similar results.
It took 5 months for me to build abs. One thing i can say consistency is the key and the key point here is "diet"
