  • Tina & I tour the 2025 Rockwood Ultra Lite 2618RD; it's a New Floor Plan for the Rockwood Ultra Lite family. We absolutely love the rear dinette with all the windows, separation of bedroom space, and plenty of storage. Is this going to be our new RV?

    You didn't mention this in the video, but the spare tire is up under the front of the trailer. You can just see it when you demo the dump valves. I love this! Frees up the rear of the trailer, no interference hitch mounted accessories.

      9:57 Just watched the video again and realized that a bumper mounted spare would block the rear storage access.

      Correct, with the interference of the door, You brought up a good point, I'm going to need to figure out a better location for the Honey Wagon we currently have on the back of Belle. Maybe mount it underneath as well. Appreciate you watching!

      I finding that Chevy recommends a 2500 for more frequent use versus GMC dealer recommendations a 1500 so confusing. What’s your choice?

    I talked to a rep today at an RV show. I suggested that they put some hinges on the underside of the counter behind the U dinette so it will open and use for storage. He put a note in his phone and said that was a good idea. He's going to take it back to the team. Hopefully they can do that.

    No fireplace is a deal breaker for me ..I use ours to heat the camper and run it on those cool mornings. I almost never have used the furnace. Otherwise, it's great!

    • @TNTRVing
      @TNTRVing  3 дні тому

      We use our fireplace often when camping. On our last trip, I had the furnace on because the temps dipped into the 40's. I like how the furnace warms everything inside the RV evenly. Appreciate you watching & commenting.

    Good seeing you two at the FROG rally. This is the first Ultra Lite that we would consider rather than our 2608BS. It would be hard to pick. I do like having 90 grey on 2608BS and the large bedroom. I am glad we decided to go with the Ultra Lite vs mini. A few extras and more room but still under 30 feet. For us, perfect size.

      In this prototype it was very narrow, maybe one can of soup deep, and there were several complaints. However, we just toured the production unit and it is much deeper. I was really pleased with the depth, but unfortunately did not take a measurement, but it was at least double the depth. Thanks for watching and commenting! Safe travels. 😃

    I really like this unit, but there is one deal breaker for me. There is no cross ventilation in the bedroom. We book dock a lot and must have that cross breeze. This is an issue with several Rockwoods. We currently have a 2205 and love it, but always looking.

    • @TNTRVing
      @TNTRVing  Місяць тому

      @@davidwilkins2980 good point about cross ventilation. We were just talking about that, we would probably open the window on the one side and turn on the bathroom MaxAir Vent fan. Appreciate you watching & commenting. Also, We like our 2205 as well, but this unit might be our next..

      @@TNTRVing the small Rockwood 5th wheel 281rk is nice. Good ventilation in bedroom, bedroom slide is rack and pinion. Big downside is that the cargo capacity is about 1600#. I am not sure if a 5th wheel though.

    Can you explain the plumbing improvements? I have read that some companies have leaks by not using the proper fittings with pex tubing.

    • @TNTRVing
      @TNTRVing  Місяць тому +3

      Rockwoood is now using waterlines & fittings on the pressure side of the water system that are designed to hold an increased amount of water pressure. The non pressure side, example: Black tank flush, antifreeze inlet. Still have flex tubing with PEX clamps.
