WOW!! I was thinking the V6 had BALLS!! I live in Germany and here most of the modifications aren’t possible, but before I do anything I have to get one. I’m considering coming to the US and getting an V8 because they’re so much cheaper. Approximately 5K or 30k is 25.500 for what You paid. But here a V6 R costs 50K US!! That’s a 2018. V8 R costs 56K € or 66K US. Have a Broker in Philly the foot work for Me. Hopefully before September or the Virus restrictions change that I can get something inexpensive and good. Thanks for the information. You’ve opened my eyes to the other side of the V6.

These mods are so sick! The tube to bring in the super charger noise is something I didn't even know could be done. Love all the sounds, I swear I smile every time I hear your cars!

They closed the hood vents because they was an issue with water getting in there and damaging the injectors. The newer versions they moved them slightly and have rubber drains underneath them that divert the water
That would be really cool. Orange seatbelts sounds perfect for the Abarth. The customer service from safety restore is top notch. They received my seatbelts in the morning, re webbed them, and shipped them out same day in the afternoon.

I just bought a ‘17 V8 F type R…. It’s hard for a woman to find competent trust worthy people to work on it. I love cars but don’t do my own work. So even though it’s $$ I got a couple really good warranties and I take it to the dealer. I love driving awesome cars and I just can’t say enough good things about the driving experience and instant power this car has. It’s a comfortable drive as well.
Totally agree. The F Type is a wonderful driving experience. If you’re not a DIY person, I would definitely stick with the warranty since it’s not an easy or cheap car to work on.
do you recommend the v6 motor over the v8, seems the v8 is over kill/too much power. my gut and maybe yourself wanted just more out of the v6 to keep is a nimble more balance car? i did read that the v6 motor design had some flaw. since its just 2 cyclinders chopped. maybe this bogus about v6. any of your thoughts appreciated. thanks mike
I like the V6 exhaust sound more. To me it sounds higher pitched and exotic vs the V8 which sounds similar to an American muscle car. With all the mods I did, it felt just as quick as a stock F type R. Obviously tuning the V8 will yield significantly higher performance, but we don't race or track the car so it would be too much for the streets. Good luck.

Awesome project Sal, quick question on the TCU tune, redline is raised to 7500 but if i look closely at your latest quartermile Dragy video, it shifts at around 6800 correct?
Thank you for the comment! That is correct. In S mode the shifts max out at around 6800 instead of the stock TCU shifting at around 6400 RPM. The F-Type gains max HP at high RPM so the more you can ride the powerband the better your results. If you manually shift with the paddles, you can rev all the way to 7500 rpm, but I had best results with the car shifting itself in S mode when engaging launch control.
I was going to ask how did you get rid of the soft limiter of 4000 but I'm thinking its either the tune the model or maybe you have a trick im running the 19 f pace s

Did you receive any fault codes with the exhaust mods? Mine is always failing O2 sensors. Just got a message they extended the warranty to 10 years or 120k miles on my 2017
I did get catalyst efficiency error codes when my Cats blew out. Once I went Catless and got the VAP tune revised, there was no more error codes. If you don’t touch the stock cats, there is no error codes with any other exhaust mods.

@@bhawk8279 I appreciate the comment! Yea the wiring for the factory light can be a bit tricky. There really isn’t a trick, it just requires a good bit of pulling force to separate them. I try to pull from the plastic connector instead of the wire to avoid tearing it.

Thanks! Yea I’m in Fremont. The crank pulley will not affect your ability to pass smog. It might be hard to find a shop to install it since it’s an aftermarket mod, so if you want, I can install it for cheap. Thanks and take care. Just make sure to buy the correct color crank pulley (black or silver). Check the current one you have.

Thanks for the comment! You won't regret purchasing an F type. The app I used is called Torque Pro on android. It reads codes and also has gauges for boost, AFR, temperatures, etc. Great app!

I would recommend a Velocity AP tune. If you want more power, add the crank pulley from velocity AP. If you want even more, do the supercharger pulley and transmission tune from Velocity AP.

Yes I trimmed off a few mm
Put in Helmholtz pipe. They cut low freq drone and make the nicer tones come out.

For the hood vents do you think it’s sketchy washing/ rain with them that open? My car didn’t come with the engine cover
Many washes later without any issues. They are OEM hood vents so I doubt Jaguar would make them if they had water damage issues.

Gap settings are unchanged and have not had issues. Check with your tuner to see which gap they recommend. 👍

Rev limiter was removed with the Velocity AP ecu tune and raised to 7500 RPMs with their transmission tune.

Brakes are OEM, came with the car. I recommend for exhaust a muffler delete.

In your case, it sounds like one or more of your o2 sensors have failed. Common fault in the F type, you should get Jaguar to replace them.

Did you get you entire pulley set up from velocity ap? You said not to do just on but both.
I just did the crank pulley. I avoided the supercharger pulley. It's useless for the V6 model.

Yes, the Velocity AP crank pulley and tune is what I bought as a combo from VAP website. The f type and f pace have the same 6 cylinder engine.
Where did you get a f type for under $30k...I’ve been looking for a stick shift V6S and can’t find one anywhere for under $40k
