@@WheelerFishing it is much more prevalent in juvenile blue gill that you see sunning up around boat docks and such….but, they do have a chartreuse hue to the tip of their tail.
exactly. same thing with a 10 inch worm when a bass is looking down on one on bottom looks like the back of a big shad. ive heard a lot of guys say they dont know what a big worm really imitates but to me that makes sense.
Wheeler is looking bad on this one! ! Like a dang politician trying to spin the questions to fit the answer he wants. Who the heck hasn't seen a bluegill with a chartreuse tail
I love how this one is starting! "Ain't no way" a bass can see so good they know the difference in 8 and 10 pound line but then they think a senko is a bluegill and all this other crap we say our baits imitate!
Green sunfish angler here and they have extremely bright tails and that’s the fish you are probably referring to. It literally looks chartreuse in the water
The bandito bug is not a staple for one, and secondly the creature baits they are reviewing are flipping/punching oriented baits, whereas the bandito bug is a more texas/carolina rig oriented bait
I’ve suggested this to numerous channels - actually - on each of y’all’s channels - and I’ve yet to get ANYONE to do a show on this - WHAT baits are so good - that you guys actually pay your money for those baits?????? That would be the real JUICE!!!!!!
Dude, unfortunately, they can’t. They have sponsors who would be very unhappy if they were highlighting products they don’t make. These guys are just being good employees
Idea for a video, name a fishing technique, and have everyone share the name of the angler that comes to mind first. Compare and discuss why that angler came to mind.
Listen as a person who fishes non bait fish lakes... strictly bluegill and crayfish and baby bass forage...and frogs and bugs...the #1 bait in my lake is a senko wacky rigged in watermelon red black flake with a dipped chartreuse tip for pressured fish..and especially during the bluegill and bass spawn...so without a doubt it represents a bluegill and the female bluegill do have a yellow tip tail certain time of the year...
Bluegill most definitely can have chartreuse tails. Pretty sure that’s where the inspiration for most chartreuse tailed baits came from 😹 come on J Dub As for senkos imitating bluegill, it ain’t the BEST option, but it can be an imitator
Bluegills in my area have black or very dark grey tails. I’ve never seen a chartreuse tail and I’ve been bass fishing over 50 years and guided. Green sunfish have a thin yellow edge on their tail. It’s not chartreuse. Most people don’t know a bluegill from a green sunfish. I think a wacky can imitate a bluegill.
Some of them definitely have chartreuse tails. In Texas we have different types of perch and some of them have all types of colors on them. Our goggle eyes and rio grande perch have purple, yellow, red and blue on them with several shades of neon. A sinko in my mind can look like a crawfish on the bottom as well. Crazy debate
KVD and I are hanging out watching this video and agree with Mark they have chartreuse on the tail certain time of year !!! Love the video guys never stop making them !!!!
If Wheeler throws that $1k bet my way the way he said it 1st I'll bring him a completely chartreuse bluegill... that spike it die ain't that expensive!! LOL
Green Sunfish, pumpkinseed, orange and red spotted sunfish, dollar sunfish and bantam sunfish all have season/life cycles where their tail and/or anal fin are chartreuse or at least the margins.
Lemme tell you PERSONALLY up here in Connecticut is mainly bluegill eaters....I ain't NEVER seen a bluegill with chartreuse on the tails..they're usually dark AND I don't think a senko can imitate a bluegill...I just think bass are smarter than we think...they LIVE IN WATER EVERYDAY, think they can't tell the difference between a fish they eat daily and a worm they eat daily?
Tramp stamp was the color like Adrian said you could go any where and catch them. But now the fish want eat here in east Tennessee on these tough ass lakes. Tvs
This was a good one - I fish a lot of shallow ponds & lakes in Colorado, and everything people are dropping in here is consistent with what I've seen as well. The juveniles here develop this vibrant tail that I think resembles a green pumpkin with a subtle chartreuse tip (not like that super-heavy chart of the pre-tipped senkos for example). Second, I have always approached fishing a green pumpkin senko around beds as a straight bluegill-imitating presentation, 1000%.
All imma say is if bluegill didnt have chartreuse tails why do all these bait companies put chartreuse in the skirts for bluegill colored baits like swim jigs, chatterbaits, buzzbaits ? 😅
Love Rate the Bait Bud, I never miss. I'm also "Perscribed" ask Cizzel what the heck that even means 🤣 Gotta say I'm partial to the Sweet Beaver but that Pit Boss is my favorite trailer on a buzzbait, sounds like I'll be ordering some Bronco Bugs Cuz Why Not?!? 🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely a brim CAN have a Chartruse tail.. u ever seen those SUn fish brim ?? They are Red, Bright orange, blue, Chartruse, all the wild colors.. Especially in clear streams
Yes! I just caught a 4 1/2pder chasing bluegill in a small little pocket an I pitched a Yum Dinger within 2ft of this bass. He stop chasing the bluegill an ate the wacky! Point proven. An here in Alabama. Bluegills are chartreuse on the tail right now
DC with a big ole fat Hawg of snuff in his lip. I knew he was a good dude. I can’t fish without a 1/4 can of Copenhagen in my mouth. I’ve actually headed back to the ramp to get a can I left in my truck while I was guiding. Absolutely can’t be on the water without snuff.
J dub is the goat foshow BUT ,(sorry KVD .you were just ahead of times on everybody).when a wacky worm shimy"s , it changes shape , almost the shape of a fish if you think about it, charchruse is not the perfect color but its close enough. sorry JW
In regards to the black/blue/silver, im oretty sure rhat originated in a production bait from Gambler in the BB Cricket. they called it Bowen's Silver. That was well befkre RI.
I use watermelon candy trick worm wacky style to get the color of a bluegill I have never dipped in chartreuse but I know ppl that do. Personally I don’t feel like ppl do that to imitate a bluegills tail I think they do it just to give the fish a target in dirty water but I’m with Jacob there tail is yellow not chartreuse. I’m sure it works but if they are on that pattern I think as long as you have close enough colors to match a bluegill it doesn’t matter what you throw it’s all about the presentation. But I’m not a professional so my opinion doesn’t carry much weight
Absolutely, here in Louisiana bluegill have chartreuse tail. Here. Can senko imitate bluegill. My opinion yes it can but I agree with Ott. More if wacky rigged.
Come up to Wisconsin and fish some of the smaller natural lakes. You will see bluegill with chartreuse tails all over. Probably due to multiple generations of hybridization with green sunfish though.
Don't want to make anyone upset but I say yes on on both I've seen on gill plates on very tip bright blue or green you guys rock I've learned so much from you guys in the past few years love your tips Mark keep it real my friend good luck waiting for you to hold that trophy 🏆🏆 high house rocks piece love and chicken grease
Absolutely yes on both qeustions. My qeustion is hth has J Dub never see chartreuse tail? Also can I have that $1k if I send tou a video of one? Will settle for a used rod combo. I love you guys man. Great stuff
ive seen grown bluegill with vibrant chartuse tails. small one almost always have them. and yes I believe it imitates a bluegill if done right. wacky style
Y’all kill me with this. Literally dying. Yes gills have chartreuse tipped tails. Atleast in Ohio lol. Can a Senko imitate a gill, yes. Does it really. No.
If you throw a green pumpkin senko with a chartreuse tail in a bluegill bed you will catch a bass. Bluegills definitely have chartreuse tails at the tips.
I can not believe you guys are arguing over this. You guys shake the minnow and 70% of the bass do not eat it because they know it is not real. Why in the heck would you think a bass would think a stick bait is a blue gill. I believe a stick bait works in a blue gill bed or under a dock, because the bass is at the buffet table. He is there to eat.
Senko is a stick bait in my opinion it imitates a worm, snake, maybe a lizard but it doesn’t look anything like a blue gill or any type of pan fish, just because of the profile
Cuz tell your boy that he needs to bream fish sometime especially right now he will see the Blue Gill with the chartreuse tail and yes a seco does even takes a blue Gill just dip the tail of the worm
Ok I have seen blue gill with chartreuse tails some time more vibrant than others, senko in my mind there are way better baits to imitate a blue gill so I’m gonna say no…
You guys mentioned color and colors a ton in this video. Honest video on Rate the Bait talking about colors. I figured as Pros you would have GP and Black blue and that is about it.
How can Wheeler be so good and has never seen the chartreuse tail on a bluegill?
ESPECIALLY growing up fishing Geist in Indiana!
Bcuz he’s a grey area fisherman!!! He’s not the pro you grew up watching,, he’s the pro who yu like who wins but know yu can out fish sometimes,,😂😂😂😂
Chartreuse is a very specific color. Y’all must just be color blind 😂
@@WheelerFishing it is much more prevalent in juvenile blue gill that you see sunning up around boat docks and such….but, they do have a chartreuse hue to the tip of their tail.
He's a bass fisherman not a bobber dobber and I don't want him to be.
Mark’s dressed like he’s going to paint a house.
Best comment ever
If a bluegill swam over your head and you looked up all you would see is the shape of a senko. Bluegill bottom profile is just a slender long stick.
exactly. same thing with a 10 inch worm when a bass is looking down on one on bottom looks like the back of a big shad. ive heard a lot of guys say they dont know what a big worm really imitates but to me that makes sense.
This is the best answer yet
Daaaaaaaamn bro I’ve NEVER considered this 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
I’m with this guy exactly spot on
Juvenile bluegills have chartreuse highlights in the sun 100% but I’ve noticed that it kinda goes away the older they become.
Wheeler is looking bad on this one! ! Like a dang politician trying to spin the questions to fit the answer he wants. Who the heck hasn't seen a bluegill with a chartreuse tail

Green sunfish angler here and they have extremely bright tails and that’s the fish you are probably referring to. It literally looks chartreuse in the water
No shot there’s no Googan bandito bug in this conversation
Once I realized that, I stopped watching
There is but it’s only when they were discussing the beaver
The bandito bug is not a staple for one, and secondly the creature baits they are reviewing are flipping/punching oriented baits, whereas the bandito bug is a more texas/carolina rig oriented bait
Why would there be one? Literally NOBODY uses them except for kids, and the people they sponsor.
@@brandoncoulter3804 ew. That worried about googan? They aren’t the best bait makers out or even close

Yall need a TV show during prime time!!😂😂😂
I cannot believe that none of you guys brought the Bandito Bug to the party because every one of you guys know it’s a killer bait!
Why dose D/C always cross his legs like a 💃💃🤷♀️🤷♀️ ? And I like D/C But come on MAN
I think a Senko can catch bass that are feeding on or around bluegill and that sometimes bream have very bright tails.
That CRUSH CITY CLEANUP CRAW IS THE BOMB👍🏻
Gene larew strart it all and won more tournaments than all the other put together! You can't even get them anymore. Makes me mad.

Yes on both questions I use a senko to imitate a blue gill cause on my lake there is no shad
Strike King 4” Rage Bug best creature bait out there. Perfect mix of durability and action. Black/Blue flake been my #1 bait so far this Spring.

I’m from the bay. You all looking like puff puff passing they way you passing around the soft plastic😂😂😂
bluegill no but baby bass yes.......senko's are predicated where the strike happens ..center strike they think it's a worm
J Dub,
100% on the bluegill tails

Yes here in 12:07 South Carolina bluegills have a chartreuse tail... but a worm to me it's like a snake a small lizard
Greenish blue tail, not chartreuse. No way a stick bait looks like a bluegill. But they might think it is. I doubt it was made to look like a gill
I saw small bluegill with bright greenish tails and I do think a Senko does imitate a Bluegill especially under a dock
Top20 overrated baits for sure! I know there’s hundreds more. But definitely the top 20.
Google bass fishing resource guide A chartreuse fish? Talks all about their tails can turn yellow color or chartreuse.
I do not think that Senko's imitate Bluegill, but Bluegill do have Chartruise Tails.

I could imitate a bluegill with my car keys and if i was to do that you better believe im dipping the tips in chartreuse. Bass are stupid

yes blugill have chartreuse tails at times
Senko can imitate blugill that gp with chart tip is 🔥

As far as creature baits goes…there’s a million replicators but only a handful of “go-to’s”
Certain lakes in PA have bluegills with chartreuse in their tails. Not all bluegills have the chartreuse in the tail.

Yes and yes. Little young blue gill will have a chartreuse tail
I’d say absolutely they can imitate a blue gill. But can’t say I’ve seen chartreuse tails forsure
You guys are doing it all wrong, you don’t call people for their opinion. You google the actual answer!
Water temp makes the chartreuse come and go, in the winter i notice much more blue hue than the yellow ish chartreuse you see in late spring
You guys mentioned color and colors a ton in this video. Honest video on Rate the Bait talking about colors. I figured as Pros you would have GP and Black blue and that is about it.
Yes a senko can imitate a blue gill rigged wacky style and yes the smaller bluegill have a chartreuse color tail on the end of their tails
Yes they do bluegill have different colors of tails. Sooooo yessss it is chartreuse or some green some yellow and yes it can imitate a gill
You guys need to do reaction videos to bass fishing I know for a fact you will make some money.
100% blue gill have chartreuse tails and 100% senko imitates blue gill
Yes a Cinco can be line a bluegill and they do have some of them have a bright chartreuse tail for sure brothers
I think chartreuse and yellow are the exact same thing to the fish, depending on the water color
