I know there a ton of you out there who have been waiting for Legend Bowl to make it to consoles and today is finally that day. Played a bunch of PlayStation this past week, and it is the game you have been waiting for. Can't wait to see the reception the game gets now that it is on consoles!
I just picked this game up after playing the demo. Fun as heck so far. Gameplay is top notch. Check the load rosters, as there are 5 or so premade rosters, one of the them has the NFL team colors and rosters, except for the proper names, which you can edit in. Speaking of editing, this is definitely a feature that hopefully they will expand upon. Needs some work. Play the demo and see for yrself.
I am one of the beta testers.The older gen consoles and switch have a multiplier that will help the speed of the game like PC and new gens. Should be a day one patch. But the reviewers didnt get that. Just an fyi if you guys get it on thos systems.
I gotta say you're right there is so much of a learning curve to this, and having to make manual tackles and learning how to run and pass are going to be challenges for me. At least in Madden, if you didn't control any players they'd all be CPU controlled. I'd like it if I could do that on defense since otherwise I'm pretty horrible. I had a lot of problems finding holes and receivers, even on low difficulty. I don't do well with large learning curves. I like having a super-easy mode that allows me to win early, then ratchet up the difficulty as I get used to it. If this is a drinking from the hose situation, or if I just experience all losses early on, I"m probably going to stop playing.
I read some user reviews saying the passing controls are way too sensitive (either you hit the slider perfectly or you throw an errant pass). Is there a way to adjust this in-game?
It's actually not too hard, it just takes practice like anything, they probably are used to having Madden mechanics which are simple and don't require any skill. Legend bowl rewards you for actually hitting good passes
Got it on the switch right as it launched. It doesnt play as well as it would on xbox or ps, but its still amazing. Im starting to import the real names for the proset 24 roster!
Can someone help me with passing, I’m missing every throw. I’m trying to lob pass and it’s going in opposite directions (so it’s not an overpower inaccuracy problem). Where do you press the direction (if at all) when passing? Or do you not touch left stick/d pad during passing?
@@chrisspearline767 man I have over 250 hours in Legend Bowl and close to 100 hours in College Bowl. It has enough arcade like fun while providing stat tracking for more NFL/College enthusiasts… I would say reasons for where it needs improvement: -no onside kick - the “conversion attempt” is a 4th and 15 situation you can utilize 2 times per half (and as a rule procedure modification, it’s still not bad) -passing and running are super easy until you get above Veteran difficulty. Again it’s a preference -you can only pick up waivers or accept trades, no initiating trades But so much more about these games that are fun, at least to me they’re fun. I originally played Front Page Sports Football Pro games from about ‘95 until they went under in ‘99 - they were fun for their time. Legend/College Bowl takes what I liked about the old franchise and makes it genuinely fun to play. I don’t know - if I’m investing my time and a couple bucks I want it to be worth it, and it is for me. Peace.
I heard about this game years ago and never really looked into it. I'm gonna get it on steam, I was going to get it last week, but my Steam Deck died and I had to send it in. I might get it on Xbox instead, but probably just gonna get it on steam so i have it on the Deck and PC
Not seen a way of importing on consoles atm. You can load some preset rosters in game and one called pro24 has all the correct uniforms, player likeness and stats but team and player names still fictional but bit closer that the default ones.
This game is so impressive, Madden should be ashamed, I have better experiences with this $20 dollar game, The zone logic is top notch, stats matter, every throw is not an interception or catch like madden, you have bobbled drops, over throws, and hits to jar the ball loose, it feels truly authentic👍🏽
I cant believe how much they jammed into this game... its almost as if they cared about making a good game! Wait, I can also navigate the UI without delay...
Speed multiplier for Switch? Good! And whats the next patch going to include? I’d really like to see all the CORRECT COLORS on the teams that are obviously akin to NFL teams. Why are half the teams in this game created with WRONGLY colored uniforms? I appreciate the ability to edit all this stuff but AT LEAST get the colors right.
Fun game, but the ball carriers have absolutely zero forward momentum. Just played two demo games and gonna have to pass. Inside runs on 4th and 1, for example, feel silly. Still, glad people like it and hope they improve the running for next year. If so, it’s a buy for me.
This game has the typical shortcoming of other football games; ai generated stats make no sense, rubber band ai, lack of stats (we get “best” records but other stats). Its a good start but this was a rush job. Give it a year and hopefully its more polished.

Can you turn off all the energy bars? Screen gets cluttered and confusing from your gameplay.
Yep, there is a setting to turn off the energy bars of players in graphics.
Is this coming in a cart/physical format for Switch, or disc for PS5?

PS5 for a console but Switch gives you the ability to take it on the go. Heard it runs pretty well on it as well.
