The Perch spent three weeks in Norfolk after arriving early for the AGLCA Spring Rendezvous, enjoying the event, and waiting out unsuitable conditions on the Chesapeake that kept us from cruising. This is the longest time we've spent in one place since starting the Loop, but Norfolk offers plenty of sites and restaurants to keep us busy! Check out our favorites in this video.

The chandelier is a Luke Jerram piece. It is composed of hundreds of “Crookes Radiometers”, each of which spin differently depending of how much light strike them.

Pretty good review - just adding some comments. You didn't mention Grace O'Malley's, which is a great Irish Pub with lots of live music. Freemason Abbey certainly has impressive ambiance, but I don't think the food lives up to the expectation. I'd recommend Omar's Carriage House for "fine dining".
And if one only cares about docking and restocking, I'd suggest to go to the Docks at Hampton instead. They don't charge you for day dockage, the location is even better IMHO, there's lots of attractions and restaurants nearby, and a Dollar Tree in walking distance (or borrow a bicycle from the Docks).
