Sampo is great fantasy film based on Kaleva, our national book. It was the most expensive film made in Finland at the time as finnish-russian co-operation. Kavi (Finnish film archive) restored the film, but here is only available DVD release. US name in 60s cinema release was "Day the Earth Froze". Not many finnish films get distribution outside Finland.
Yeah, same with Lithuania. Just a few movies were released internationally. I wrote to these guys (Deaf Crocodile Films), and they got the rights for the Lithuanian movie. Sweden has much more coverage because they have Ingmar Bergman.
