This song came to me 3 days after nearly a decade of self destructiveness. I am no longer the owned but the owner of this ship I'm sailing. This song is a gift of God to me at this time in my life.
I hope things are still moving along for you! I know it's been a while since you posted this comment, but never forget that feeling you had 4 years ago!
I saw this band open for Pheonix and Cut Copy at the greek theater in Berkeley and they literally stole the show. When they started, the crowd was mostly sitting and not paying too much attention, but by the end of their set, everyone was on their feet cheering and applauding. It was the first time I'd seen a crowd turn around like that and it set a very high bar for the next two acts.
@@mutedaddy props are cheap. No matter how big. They're signed to Interscope, pretty sure Interscope could just find a couple interns to build it themselves. That brain was built, not bought.
this video was probably high budget but it 100% wasnt cheep. you are fotgetting all the cast behind the chamera, all the ligthing and thats not cheep lighting. Also just the location, it cant be that cheep too rent that wearhouse and the sets also. so yeah, it migth be lower budget compaired too like expenssive videos but its not low budget, its not Losing My Edge by LCD Soundsystem or Subterranean Homesick Blues. And i dont think record lables do music videos, usally commisioned too a video production, the lable just produce them some of the time.
..I'm 66..this is some of the (can I say) nicest music I've heard since discovering the Editors a few yrs ago..some music is just no matter how old we're not...🦋🌸🤧
Saw these guys in concert not too long ago for work and I was pleasantly surprised. I looked them up and they sound exactly the same recorded as they do live. I’m a new fan!
I recently recovered from an aneurysm, which caused me to have a stroke . This song brings tears to my eyes, because, I was fighting mentally to get back to where I once was. But this song made me realize that my before was not where I should have been. I feel that everything after is where I should be. Did you get that? Yep, this song helped me realize that. God bless them ❤
This song is such a good sobriety song, awesome double meanings in the lyrics. "Try to love the little things even if they are hard to love." Also above the clouds, clear.
I remember listening to this song during the first lockdown due to Covid here in Germany. My place of work was closed, university as well. I could do nothing pretty much, so I did nothing and started thinking about my life... Finally. I realized what made me depressed all these years. University pushing me to the limit mentally (not so much intelectually), a relationship that was over years ago, but I kept pushing myself to keep, so I wasn't alone and much more. I started changing things in my life and I felt just as high as described in the song (sans drugs), and felt at peace with myself for some time.
I used to need all of it to get this high but now I just listen to this and I'm there. Thanks for the shortcut, the free carwash, the pine scented air freshener, it smells just like the real thing!

Some days you wake up, hit the internet and stumble onto a band that makes you get goose bumps and then think, "Where have these guys been my whole life????" Perhaps, it's the universe rewarding you with some well deserved good karma or maybe it's just a "happy little accident" like Bob Ross would say :)
There's no such thing as "good kharma..." all kharma is bad, it's the bad luck you accrued from being a screw-up in past life incarnations. Good luck is dharma ...but you won't find that in an urban dictionary.
Jon Graham Sir Sly needs more recognition imo. Like they literally have such good music but not even 50k subs on YT and i think not even 1.5 mil monthly listeners on spotify. I think they're growing which is great, but i dont think that they're getting the recognition that they deserve.
More than 15M views. It make sense. This video is brilliant - great toon ! I discovered the song in the Summer of 2017 while driving my convertible Mustang on a beautiful Saturday afternoon listening to Sirus radio. The moment the song come on I cranked it up full blast.
