Very informative of current trail conditions! My plan is for a 2 night 3 day trip in two weeks. I last did this trail in November of 2019 and it was a great time, cold, but fun.
Nice video. Thinking about backpacking Old loggers path early June. Do you think streams will be flowing so well then? Here in NY everything is dried up already.
Wow, creeks are already dried up in NY? You shouldn't have any problems finding water at that time on OLP. I hiked west rim trail late August last year and was still able to get water.
This was in April or May. The bugs can be a bit bad up there at times, especially near the vista's. I take picaridin with me and treat my clothes with permetherin. Not a fan of deet.
Nice landscapes..
Loved the water clips! I really enjoyed the close up of camping things (cooking, making coffee.) You dont see that in many videos. Awesome video.
Thanks, I put some shots in this one that I haven't used before. Glad you enjoyed the video.

Two nights should make for a nice relaxed trip. Did you have to do the wet crossing of pleasant stream when you did it in November?
@@HikeIntoTheSunset we made our way across the stream with the help of a downed tree. The low the first night was 16° but made for great memories.

Heading out there myself in two weeks. Say hello if you pass!
When did you do this hike? I’m planning on doing it in early May, I’m wondering if the bugs will be bad.
