About 13 years ago my mate Beau took me for a drive up Numinbah Valley. That was the first time I’d been 200km/h around a bend. The thing felt like it was stuck on rails. The GTR is a stunning car 🤙🏽
I drove my bnr32 1200 miles across the US earlier this year at ~80 degrees. only used e85 @ 550whp. A/C just went out before I started it but even with that it is now by far the best road trip car I've ever driven. Just me, my exhaust, and some crappy door speakers from the 90's
During the trip some parts we're a struggle, but looking back on it I'm happy I did it. The ups of the trip and the memories/ stories I got out of it made it worthwhile
As soon as he started bashing on Supras , you should send him the link to your feature of Marcel's 930whp Supra you did years ago. We all know that stock mk4s are crap, but once built they are great cars with a tonne of character. His Supra is stock, looks bad and needs some $ and love to spread the wings. The owners wouldn't love them so much if it was just the engine and F&F hype and would go for a cheaper Aristos instead.
Agree. Saw that video it was awesome. I just couldn't fall in love with that car unfortunately. I had a pile of go fast parts ready to go on it but I just didn't want to dedicate any time to it. Got rid of it and got a 33gtr instead.

This car is sick! All it's missing is the trim for the N1 ducts in the front bumper, but come to think of it, the cutouts in the video look a tad larger than the factory N1 holes, so maybe he did that himself for more airflow to the intercooler?
When the car was brought into Canada it needed a bash bar installed to pass inspection I believe, had the vents and they must've cut around them because the ones I bought didn't fit unfortunately. Most of our highways up here are 60mph lol

Personally I was the opposite I started with an R32 GT-R, hated it sold it and thought I’d give it another try, bought another one and still didn’t like it. Sold it and bought a Supra. Every person will like something different.
That doesn't look like 500hp, my old 400bhp r32 was way faster than that. love tthe steering in these cars, decent feel.. hated and removed hicas. rear diff upgrade was a nice change. hated waiting for the 4wd to catch up to what you were doing, seconds of delay sometimes.. was almost better with the fuse pulled.
Never got to pull close to redline because of the trans. Still had 2500 rpm to go up top unfortunately :/ kept pulling strong. And yeah few driveline upgrades goes a long way in a 30 year old car. Would be cool to drive back to back
Everyone has their opinions. I believe to a degree supras are overrated simply because of the fan base that hypes them up beyond reason. In this case tho. Easy for him to say when his supra is in what ever condition it is and is mostly stock. By the sounds of it the gtr isn't exactly a reliable princess. But since i have also owned a supra and a skyline i can say they the supra was more reliable and was better quality overall than the skyline. Both cars are way over priced but i would say skylines are even more so because they have not held up as well over time. Theyre all falling apart in one way or another. Yes its an old car but compared to the supra its not as bad. Simple things like odometers in skylines stop working. Its so not worth it. As much as i love them when they work theyre piles of garbage that are ready to fall apart. I do love them tho. Also the 2j vs rb argument. I really cant choose between what i like better but i can definitely argue that the 2j is more reliable and can hold highe power better than the rb. Looks wise. Love them both to death but common. Cant deny the supra has something special and unique over the skyline

The old Skylines are cool cars, but definitely not worth the money they are fetching nowadays.
