  • Iceland had been on my travel list for a long time and I finally visited it last month. I was only there for 3 days but it was enough to leave me totally blown away by this beautiful country.
Here’s a detailed breakdown of how much we managed to cram into those 3 days.
Spoiler alert: we saw northern lights TWICE!
    Enjoy! x
All the main things we saw:
    - Reykjavik
    - Gullfoss falls
    - Skogafoss
    - Blue Lagoon
    - Geysir hot springs
    - Faxi waterfall
    - Kerid crater
    - Northern lights
    - Reynisfjara black beach
    - Þingvellir National Park
    - Seljalandsfoss waterfall
    - Green lake
    - Kleifarvatn lake

Thank you for sharing, Monika! We're planning a last-minute short stay in Iceland. What neighborhood was your hotel? We also want to stay outside of city center. Were you happy with staying at the same hotel? We're deciding between staying at one hotel/inn or traveling to a different hotel each night. Enjoyed hearing about your experience!!

Excellent video thank you. We have just relived our Iceland trip last week. If you ever fancy visiting the English Lake District please get in touch. I’d be delighted to show you this wonderful area.

Where are you from? You sound like you’re originally from somewhere in central/Northern Europe but spent some time in Yorkshire/Lancashire?

Great video, very informative. Gonna pop into Iceland this week for 2,5 days, just for a small escape, we'll see if gonna cover some of these locations.
I am wondering, regarding the Norther Lights tours, would it be possible to just go with own car? But then one would need to know that mysterious location you were brought into :)

Thanks, I am glad you found my video helpful! I would recommend going on an organised tour if it's your first time chasing northern lights so that you can learn about them, how they work, where to find them etc. After that you may be able to see them yourself. Like the second time we saw them, I recognised they were starting over the ocean and we weren't even anywhere remote and we saw them but they only lasted 5 minutes. But I don't think I would have spotted the starting point if I hadn't gone on the tour the day before! :)

The Northern Lights tour was with BusTravel Iceland. Everything else we did we drove to ourselves, we hired a car :)
