    I took 200 mg of l theanine before bed and at night I woke up and was very active and couldn't sleep throughout the night, but it helped me lower my stress levels in the day

      Sounds like you should not use this supplement for sleep.

    L-theanine plus picamilon is a GREAT combo for performance based anxiety! Throw in noopept and you’ve got a fantastic, anxiety-free focus

    It works, but i started with 500mg, and had Heart Palpitations and trouble sleeping, should start slowly with 100mg

    Can this be the reason why me being very introverted I get relaxed and talk way more than usual when I drink an energy drink?? Caffeine by itself or B vitamins don't make me do that. Thank you for your great videos, oh also Lithium Oratate is helping me stabilize my mood.

      Maury it could be Lithium Orotate or the Taurine in your energy drink.

    I tried L-Theanine for a week, and while I wish i could have continued with it, I found that it messed with my prostate. Don't know why, but it definitely did.

      Craig, there must be something else in that supplement other than L-Theanine for it to affect your prostate. What "other ingredients" are in it?

      Yes you can use both. L-Theanine supports the use of Tyrosine.

    L theanine makes me feel very bad plus my dreams are extremely bad The same goes for taurine the lions main and holy Basil are good to go but then again everyone is different

    Good video, David! I have a question for you. Are there any supplements that will enhance the effect of l-Theanine? Perhaps magnesium l-threonate?

      L-Theanine may potentiate the effects of GABA, L-Tyrosine or L-Tryptophan.

      Most cannot develop a tolerance to L-Theanine. But that is not to say it's impossible. Stranger things have happened.

    Is 80-90% magnolol and honokol going to be more effective then 1/2% just as 35% withaldonides in ashwaghanda shodun will be more effective than ksm 66 or sensoril ?

      No idea. But many have found success using KSM-66.
