MeshCom 4.0 is an open-source project developed by the Institute of Citizen Science for Space & Wireless Communication (ICSSW).
It facilitates the exchange of text messages, positions, measurements, and remote control commands using LoRa (Long Range) radio modules.
The primary objective is to establish networked, off-grid communication utilizing low-power and cost-effective hardware, making it particularly beneficial for emergency communications (EmComm) during disasters or blackouts.
MeshCom and Meshtastic are comparable in some aspects, as both facilitate off-grid communication using mesh networking, but they differ significantly in their technology, purpose, and target audience.

MeshCom 4.0 ist ein Open-Source-Projekt, das vom Institute of Citizen Science for Space & Wireless Communication (ICSSW) entwickelt wurde.
Es ermöglicht den Austausch von Textnachrichten, Positionen, Messwerten und Fernsteuerbefehlen mithilfe von LoRa (Long Range)-Funkmodulen.
