This was a great video. Thanks for sharing. Also glad Alice didn't get hurt. That was a tough fall. Them little rocks can bite you. You guys keep showing off all that beautiful country. We are loving it. 👏👍❤🥾🎒
Thank you for your awesome comment. Always makes us happy to know people are enjoying our videos and hopefully getting something out of them. You are right about them little rocks, they will sneak up on you. Have a great day...
Alice and i had a great hike up the Loop Trail. The Granite Park Chalet was amazingly beautiful. Luckily Alice wasn't hurt when she rolled her ankle. When you see it you will know how lucky she was.
I always wear hiking boots. Not a guarantee you can't roll your ankle, but it's way better than walking shoes. You might want to buy a pair for your next hike.
John she bounced up like a good troop and kept marching on. Glad you enjoyed the video, hope to see you down the road sometime. Glad to see you are pounding the pavement again my friend.
Did this hike yesterday plus I hiked up to Grinnell Glacier. Legs are paying for it today. Definitely a challenge but the views are worth it. The hike down was brutal on the knees.
Eric, I had hoped to get in the hike to the Grinnel Overlook but never got the opportunity. Time just slipped away from me. My knees would have had a problem with it also. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching.
Really depends on physical condition. It is a hike with lots of elevation gain, if you hike with poles that should help. Plenty of water and Bug Spray is a must. One section we ran into swarms of mosquitos. Sun protection from hats or sunscreen. Favorite trail snack of course. Go really early as the parking area is limited. Might suggest a light weight jacket for the start of the hike.
We hiked in on the Highline trail, spent the night, hiked out on the loop trail. Absolutely beautiful. The highline is 7.5 miles I think but not a lot of elevation gain.
Montana and Glacier have been our favorites so far. So at some point we will be returning and may still be up for the hike. It was a truly amazing location.

Glad you enjoyed it. It's a beautiful view from the top.
Thanks for taking us along on your hike. Alice is a trooper.
Mitch, she definitely is. Glad you enjoyed it, very tough hike but the views were amazing.

Thanks Tomas, glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks for sharing I missed sooo much when I was there. I will go back and this time I will have the details I need thanks to Roaming with the Ramsays
It is a great place for sure. Glad you enjoyed the video.

@@thelakeman5207 we both have them but prefer the Trail runners. Personal choice.
Gordon & Alice, I enjoyed your video and the scenery looked magnificent. Alice, you rolled your ankle pretty good and I hope it’s ok.

Wanting to do this with my boys, what are some must haves for gear? Any help is greatly appreciated.

This was my first ever big hike, and it’s only made me want to do more! Trying to book a night at the chalet for this summer :)
Can't imagine how wonderful the view will be up there at night. Gotta say I am a little jealous.. Gordon & Alice
You really should try to get a reservation to spend the night. Hike in on the highline trail. It's a little over 7 miles but no huge elevation gain.

@@RoamingwiththeRamsays Did you hike to Iceberg lake ? It is beautiful. 10 miles round trip but not difficult.
@@JH-mt3pp didn't get a chance to. Don't think it was an option because of COVID
@@RoamingwiththeRamsays I do remember hearing that side was closed. Iceberg lake trail is often closed due to bear activity.
