It's actually scientifically proven that 35-45 minute naps are the perfect length. It's just enough time to rest and feel temporarily rejuvenated, but it's not enough time to fall into REM sleep.
Falling into REM sleep and then waking up is part of what causing that groggy feeling when you nap for too long. Lol
