That was a good question about what to cheep out on, and what not to. Maybe that could be a standard Q&A question. Didn't catch what Wayne & Sarah choose to cheap out on though... Looking forward to the next one! Thanks Ronny. Thank you Wayne & Sarah for letting us look over your setup.
Very cool Ronny! Really appreciate getting a look at everyone's setup, and getting their opinions on gear, thank you. Neat addition to your channel. My compliments to Wayne and Sarah, on there setup, and their handywork!
Every single time Wayne’s car is in a video like a modified or a camp setup segment without fail Ronny will always point to his fridge and say “I know that one” 😂
love seeing what you guys use for your camping, I wouldve thought Wayne would have a set of night vision goggles "behind tha seet" for Ronnys regular late camp setups
Hi Ronny, what a great video, some awesome tips and tricks. What’s best about this video, is it just shows what great mates you guys are, love the banter, another great start to a Sunday. Thank you guys, keep them coming 👍👍
I like the “Behind the seats” part. You should have that on these camping or modified videos all the time. Always good to know what different things people store there.
Hi Ronny and crew. Idea could be to discuss old then new camping gear. Was it worth the upgrade. Im always trying to keep it simple and light weight. Example is going away from sliding tracks and using boxes. Also makes packing easier because the boxes are easily removed for packing in house and moving around camp. They also make handy bench space when not used. Folding tables are a good idea too. Types of cordgae and basic knots for use around camp would be a good idea to share as well. Cheers mate!!
I been watching all your videos. Awesome filming very professional. One day win I hit the lottery I’m coming to Australia buying a 4x4 . Everyone has to dream . I’m very jealous those night skies are awesome. I’ll keep watching your videos.
Oh, and toilet setup (for the girls too (that's the main barrier for my wife to go places without facilities). We stayed on the beach at DI for few days last week. We were lucky to find a nice spot. Not just because it was school holidays, but because most spots smell like poo, there is toilet paper in the bushes, rubbish one the ground and remnants of fires everywhere. After the sun went down we noticed an abandoned fire still glowing about 10 metres from our tent. Lucky none of us stood on that during the day. I was always taught to, only take photos and only leave footprints.
Nice one Ronny, Ive started a fairly similar sort of video series on camping setups as well a few weeks back now, first one was running through the differances between camper trailers and swags, pros and cons, thanks for sharing this one
To add to the Q&A - favorite/go to camp foods/meals! Wayne looked like he had some pre-made things that he froze, would be interested to hear more about food and meals. Excited for this new series!
with the meals i normally cook at home for the who;le trip then cryovac, and freeze. by doing this you can make some pretty awesome dishes and you save on so much space
Lots of good info in there. Love the group couple effort. I also have Harry to thank for my stainless tailgate mod in the 80. Most useful mod I've done. Even used it on the weekend to chuck the jaffle iron on it. Previously I did it on a rock or something and tried not to drop it on the ground. Haha. Makes things so simple.
The Alu - Cab roof tent is awesome, I'm 6ft 2in and had no problems with it. But would sleep the other way around, that way you also get the benefit of the good cross ventilation
Great idea. But to appeal to a wide audience, make sure to include setups from a few "4 time a year" campers. ie How to set up the family jeep, Prado or Landcruiser for that trip. Most people dont have a dedicated setup. Looking forward to getting ideas on the units you will cover.
Loved the museum / "what's behind your seat". Question Suggestions: 1, what is the worst piece of camping gear in your rig? / what do you plan to replace? 2, what was your worst buy and what replaced it? (Not necessarily a bad product, it might have been a repurposed product, domestic appliance that couldn't survive the track and so on. And thanks for your videos
My wife and are addicted to all your vids. My favorite rig is Ronny's. My wife's is Wayne's. Can't get enough of your videos. The technical side of the videography is honestly impressive. Ronny are you self taught? Wayne, you ever do poitjikos while in the bush?
It was only tuched breefiely at the end, but I think cooking implements are interesting (the cooker, the travel buddy, but how about the gas, what pans are used the most, etc..)
That was an interesting video mate. I think there were a few good points I took note of regarding little hints and tips for how to set things up in the future 👌
A lot of people ask me all the time, what should they take for when camping. I found the best way to tell them is to go for a 2 day camp with what they currently have and while out there they will soon realise all the things they will/want and need. Sounds useless but is the best advice cause I don’t know what their camping style is.
Great segment guys, you touched on lots of stuff,, if the different guests have different items like, chem toilet ect.. we will get to see a range of products and varying brands ect, well done mate , keep em coming, cheers....
love your work guys don't forget brands and places u found these things, lol I remember when i use to write the weight on every item before i loaded the beast for the next big trip, weight distribution helps heaps
Great job guys, enjoyed it. Great content, nice to see the interesting products, would be great to have a link to some of the more unusual or commonly used items. Not sure if that is doable. Interesting products I saw are the oven, pocket shower, pillows, and that bag sealer right after the cooking oil, didn’t quite understand how that bag sealer worked, looked interesting. Nice rig Wayne and Sarah, thanks for sharing with all of us. Love the new series here.
great set up Wayne, obviously refined after many years of camping. thanks for sharing. my question on camp set ups is:- What do you most often forget to pack?
It was interesting to see where Wayne carried his gas bottles, would like to know more about that as far as access to connect hose; ease of removing bottles to refill, problems with Dust/Mud, etc... Plus, Would like to hear peoples Stove "FUEL" choices (ie: Gas vs Shellite vs Petrol vs Metho) and the reasons why they went that way. For me, I don't like carrying Gas bottles and was using the Coleman Dual Fuel Stoves but they are coming to the end of their life and have now gone to a Metho stove which is brilliant - very simple with very few parts that would ever give any problems... BTW: Wayne mentioned about kids in the future..... I guess he can kiss his Single Cab Ute goodbye when that happens :)
love You man you are great man. Before i did not know to much about cars i learned to much from you.. i subscribed and watch every new video.God bless you. you are my teacher...thank you i am from pakistan.
About Power supply sustem, aka batteries, alternators & inverters. Ronny maybe you could do a video on this. From stock systems. When is it wise to upgrade your power system and what items when upgraded, like lights, should be? What types of batteries are suitable from short trips to a fortnight? Which brands and models should one avoid purchasing to control lighting and electronics? Thanks for the reviews and trips. What about the dunny systems?
Sarah can u share your shower project in details pls?! Even though it's a bit see through its still doing the job & a lot cheaper I bet then ones I have looked at!
We don't do hard core camping much anymore, mainly because we haven't been able to find something comfortable enough to sleep on. I would really love a segment on the comfort levels of different mattresses. The most comfortable mattress we have EVER had was a Coleman Durasleep air bed which would be absolutely perfect if it didn't lose air half way through the night. Being a bit of an old-fart with a bad back and dodgy joints, I have to have a really comfortable bed. When we are in the Coaster it is no problem but in the 4x4 it is still a big problem.
Have a look at the higher quality self inflating mattresses. I'm the same, could only camp for a few nights because the swag/tent/stretcher was always crap to sleep on. Bought an Exped MegaMat a while back, and it's as good as sleeping on an innerspring mattress at home. Doesn't squeak and lose air like a normal air mattress either.
what kind of planning is required for a long remote trip , like how many kms a day, what to see , what to avoid , what to take , permits needed to access certain areas ans how much food , and other stuff like that , I really enjoy your videos , I've learnt so much ,thanks
Great concept, keep them coming. My suggestion would be to put in the comments any new helpful items or tools mentioned in the video. For example, the name or brand of the "tap" for Jerry (water) cans if known.
this episode was great to watch so happy you made this series i asked about you making a series like this before what you showed and the questions you asked were great really awesome ,maybe a question could be any future upgrades or plans can't really think of anything else keep up the great videos
hi there Ronny and team, you have shown a pretty cool item at around 15:02 minutes of the video, it is a tab for the water container, can you please tell us where we can buy this item, I have the same water jerry can. thanks
Ronny, can you do an episode with the truck used in the latest mad max movie? I wonder if they kept it in a museum somewhere i now they filmed in Africa but maybe they kept that truck ...i was super happy to see Riddick's starship in Coober Peedy and did not know people lived undergound there...woukd also want to see more salt water crocs...they never get old just like the white sharks in my area...
love the new series! question for future campers: do they ever downsize on gear because they get tired of too much work in carrying and setting camp? Wayne has a moonlight feature on that olight headlamp and in the future i recomend you only buy olight lights because they are the best around..and leave the maglite and led lenser for the museum. another question: if you had all the money, would you camp full time all year? or travel around the world in an overland vehicle like this? if tesla would make a solar powered electric overland vehicle would you trade the diesel land cruiser for that?
My understanding of why most run diesel is fuel economy, but also heard a diesel is less likely to fail in water crossings.. In my area of Canada, we have water crossings but not like Australia. Can you give any input to a non diesel owner some advantages over gas?
That was a good question about what to cheep out on, and what not to. Maybe that could be a standard Q&A question. Didn't catch what Wayne & Sarah choose to cheap out on though...
Looking forward to the next one! Thanks Ronny.
Thank you Wayne & Sarah for letting us look over your setup.

A great upgrade for the large maglight is a led cree bulb. Highly recommend.
love seeing what you guys use for your camping, I wouldve thought Wayne would have a set of night vision goggles "behind tha seet" for Ronnys regular late camp setups
LOL! Mine are _beside_ the seat....
Some great banter. Really easy to tell you're good friends. It's an amazing setup, congratulations to the both of them.
Hi Ronny, what a great video, some awesome tips and tricks. What’s best about this video, is it just shows what great mates you guys are, love the banter, another great start to a Sunday. Thank you guys, keep them coming 👍👍

thanks guys from South Africa
Good to see what other people use in the bush with their toys and gadgets very interesting!! Awesome vid
I been watching all your videos. Awesome filming very professional. One day win I hit the lottery I’m coming to Australia buying a 4x4 . Everyone has to dream . I’m very jealous those night skies are awesome. I’ll keep watching your videos.
Simple, effective, and sturdy! Good equipment.
Oh, and toilet setup (for the girls too (that's the main barrier for my wife to go places without facilities).

This is a good new segment everyone camps differently
I like the new concept. Let’s keep these vids going! Want to see Harry’s setup and Juhas
that_ranger mmmm yes
Really appreciate the new series. Please keep them up. Thx
Nice one Ronny, Ive started a fairly similar sort of video series on camping setups as well a few weeks back now, first one was running through the differances between camper trailers and swags, pros and cons, thanks for sharing this one

Maglight's with the led and glass lens kit are dope!
I had a 30second awning as well, I sent it back as it was faulty.... took 32 seconds to open up !
This is a awesome video its nice to see how other people are doing it and get new ideas. Keep them coming!!
Lots of good info in there. Love the group couple effort. I also have Harry to thank for my stainless tailgate mod in the 80. Most useful mod I've done. You're welcome mate. It's one of my favourites - I stole the idea from a mate of mine
The Alu - Cab roof tent is awesome, I'm 6ft 2in and had no problems with it. But would sleep the other way around, that way you also get the benefit of the good cross ventilation
Wayne's bakkie and camping setup looks great
Great idea. But to appeal to a wide audience, make sure to include setups from a few "4 time a year" campers. ie How to set up the family jeep, Prado or Landcruiser for that trip. Most people dont have a dedicated setup. Looking forward to getting ideas on the units you will cover.
Good question mate
Interesting idea will try our best only problem is people can only carry so much stuff
I built my drawer system to be removed when not using it in the Jeep. Put it in when needed and take it out when not. Easy.
Its about the ideas they come up with to carry what they need in the "stock" vehicle.
Travel buddy review. Hints, tips & meals ! 👍🏻
Ronny you covered Wayne's setup very well, love the tailgate table Wayne
Great series idea
7:25 The style on these two is next level
Awesome new segment! I always love to watch you guys, thank you!
Loved the museum / "what's behind your seat".
Question Suggestions:
1, what is the worst piece of camping gear in your rig? / what do you plan to replace?
2, what was your worst buy and what replaced it? (Not necessarily a bad product, it might have been a repurposed product, domestic appliance that couldn't survive the track and so on.
And thanks for your videos
Wayne's style is dialed in perfectly at 7:24 :D
This blokes got my dream setup
My wife and are addicted to all your vids. My favorite rig is Ronny's. My wife's is Wayne's. Can't get enough of your videos. The technical side of the videography is honestly impressive. Ronny are you self taught? Wayne, you ever do poitjikos while in the bush?

Like this more than modified, just something new. Keep it up!
I like this new episode series, I've Aleah's wondered about all the gear you guys use.
That was an interesting video mate. I think there were a few good points I took note of regarding little hints and tips for how to set things up in the future 👌

I'm scared of doing that haha, but good tip
Enjoyed! Looking forward to more from this series.
That is a really good idea with the oils, they just leak, always.
Really like this, hope to see more like this. Keep up the great work y’all.
Great additional segment Ronny ...... more please mate
Great job guys, enjoyed it. Great content, nice to see the interesting products, would be great to have a link to some of the more unusual or commonly used items. Not sure if that is doable. Great vid... Would love to see details on how you run the 12volt systems, fridges, lights , freezer etc etc... Love the shows!!!
Awesome video, so keen to see more of these.
Wayne’s museum is the best 👍🏻
Awesome new video concept. More wagon videos so i know how to set up my 70 series wagon
I feel like instead of waynes museum that category should just be called " Whats behind your seat" good catchy name and good for a laugh
Plz keep these types of vids coming.
Everyone needs a Sarah. She's quite handy.
Great, really enjoyed that, bring more.
great set up Wayne, obviously refined after many years of camping. thanks for sharing. my question on camp set ups is:- What do you most often forget to pack?
Toilet paper and sleeping bags 😂 haha i don’t really forget much anymore cause of the draw setup
One of your best boys 👍

Great new segment.

Great stuff. Love a camp set up video! 👍🏼
Good idea to see other peoples setups as you can get ideas and adapt to your vehicle, stole a few ideas myself from mates or mates of mates etc
Sarah can u share your shower project in details pls?! Even though it's a bit see through its still doing the job & a lot cheaper I bet then ones I have looked at!
Good idea.....keep em coming!
I need this awning for my setup. 03 Tacoma 4 door, sleeps 4 with 2 dogs, and gear.
What are those funny little trucks you have in Australia? If you guys want to do some serious 4 wheeling you need to invest in some Detroit iron!
Great video, thanks! Very inspiring, and some good tips and hacks! Much appreciated. - Mike
Perfect start to a sundee
Love the new format
Let Wayne know the bag that comes with the chair folds up for the pillow insert at the top of the chair
Well there you go, cheers for that buddy
Keep it coming!!! More episodes pleaseeeeee

Ive never had a drama with my Darchi Dirty dee mattress, im 6'4 and 110 kg and love how it feels,
We just did two weeks on an exped Megamat duo. Really, really comfortable. We were in the desert every day and weren’t cold once. Highly recommend it.
I love that Wayne.
Miss Wayne !!
basicly go camping I find out what you realy need and what not ,, so keep it so light as possible weight is your enemy in a car :-)

Sweet setup
Another great idea.
Bloody mint setup!
hi there Ronny and team, you have shown a pretty cool item at around 15:02 minutes of the video, it is a tab for the water container, can you please tell us where we can buy this item, I have the same water jerry can. thanks

Maybe even leave details of certain items used for people to be able to find.... ie. the compact hiking towel.
Great vid
Ask what is more Important convenience, comfort, weight, budget or ease of use. Great job ronny

Poor Torben, lets take a moment to appreciate Wayne’s hat in the flashback scene
Good segment, are you doing one for all the crew?
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who turns my underwear inside out!!!😁
Awesome segment Ronnie, maybe info on 12v setups.
Cheers big wheels
