Just discovered this Channel, and wow such clear calm play-through technique. So hard for most people to not come across annoying or down right dull when playing a Game. Rhado is the only other i can really sit there and enjoy the experience and now i have another place to watch great videos. Thank you so much for this brilliant content that you are uploading. Good luck and carry on the fantastic work your are doing. If you ever visit Wales contact me. More sheep than Cows though....
As the rules state, for your first move you don't just begin at the start of the journey, but you can choose any one building and place your rancher there, tking the action/s.
Thanks for the great playthrough! You guys are one of my favorite game reviewers. I like how you are able to provide in-depth, yet concise, analyses of the games you playthrough. Keep up the great work!!
Great video! Got this game out yesterday and started wading through it. I was already tired and shouldn't have tried at that time. Lol. Put it back up without playing it. After watching you two, I think I'm ready to jump in. You guys make a great team! Don't change a thing! I definitely buy games based on your videos!
I love this game. Great playthrough video. Remember, on your first turn you get to chose any building to start on and take it's action. Then starting on your second turn you do your normal movement phase.
Also, you may remove discs from your player board in any order. So at the end of the game you both could have removed the 3 point disc instead of the $3 disc.
Jerseys are required for risk building strategies. Building chains is key to success. Building defensively can be a good way to hinder your opponents. Going to Kansas city on your first trip is key to have lots of cash to get the early game setup complete. Going a second time could be a good idea depending on the setup. 8b is powerful when placed next to specific buildings. 10a is the most powerful building.
Very enjoyable and the length barely registered (other than having to break viewing between commutes) which is a sign of an entertaining playthrough. Thanks for sharing.

This is the first time I have stumbled upon your channel but I do have to say that you make a great duo! Relaxed yet not too much random blabbering. It also helps that you are not regular geek looking people :D I will keep an eye on you from now on! Btw, I suggest you add your links in the video description.
It is a great pleasure to watch your videos - I really enjoy it! Great work! Just one remark: in my opinion Frances even has 3 points more, as the cattle gives 18 Points, not 15...?! Looking forward for your next reviews! Manfred
Great video, thanks. I've been looking forward to this one since I heard about it over the summer. The only thing from this Essen crop I'm more excited about is Railroad Revolution (designed by the same people who did my second favorite game, ZhanGuo). I preordered that one right around Essen, got it in the mail yesterday, and hope to be playing it tomorrow. And I think you've got me even more excited about this one, it looks like a ton of fun. I wonder if you've also tried Mombasa, from the same designer. That one's probably best at 4 players unfortunately for you guys, but probably still works at 2. It was my favorite game of 2015.
saying this is better than mars... that is quite a statement! I own mars, didn't play this yet but it's coming and yeah, it's very possible it is, and that would make it (easily) in top 5 of the year for me. thanks for the review.
You made at least five rules errors for those watching this to learn as I was. First turn you start at any location. Neither of you paid the costs to upgrade your hand size. Performing a double draw and discard action allows you to draw then discard twice. Not draw 2 cards then discard 2. You paid 1 instead of 2 for shipping costs to San Diego from locomotive space 11. You can remove discs on the player board in any order.
Hi CR, thanks for your feedback! The two of us are lucky that we enjoy the experience of playing together on and off camera so much that as long as we are staying consistent in our interpretation, we don't allow it to hinder our enjoyment one bit. I'm sure you've found in your gaming circles that minor errors, over the course of a two hour game, are bound to happen. This is why we focus our channel on what the gaming experience feels like, not primarily as a tutorial. Once you've decided you like a game, I'd recommend a channel like Watch it Played for a more extensive rules breakdown, as opposed to a full playthrough. Other viewers read the rulebook in addition to watching it played with us to get a comprehensive feel for the game. Thanks for watching!
My first 2 player game also went 4 hrs. Takes an hour to learn the symbols, the buildings, the entire procedure and you will stop way too often at buildings, thinking you are missing something if you don't. You will be reading the rules a lot, even if you pre read them. Game should have had an icon reference player aid for every building. Also recommended: forget to redraw cards to 4 after every turn and then continually show up in KC with two cards worth $3, wondering how the hell anyone gets up the train track. Not recommended for the far sighted or those over 40. Your eyes will bleed trying to read the tiny icons. Still enjoyed more than Mombasa.
First off I love the videos and the fact that you two play through them, i actually have purchased games because of this channel. Hours of enjoy on UA-cam and the Table alike so sincerely thank you both. However Frances please stop with the "yea" "uh huh" "mmhm's" lol. Seriously though thank you both and keep up the great work. This game is going to be another in my collection.
You are becoming my favorite channel for playthrough videos
I really enjoyed your playthrough and summary. I ordered the game shortly after watching as it gave me a good feel for it. Thanks guys.
Thanks for another great play-through and your thoughtful commentary. Can't wait to give this one a try.

David Nieto Thanks!
Around 51:00 when you take the black disc to increase your hand limit, you were supposed to pay 5 dollar for it. Great runthrough !
He remembered at 71:42

Thank you for the video it helped us with the game and you guys didnt put us to sleep like the other walkthrough videos we watched.
Love your playthroughs! 31:36 don´t think you can hire people from the same line as the jobmarket token.
Tobbe Friberg Darn, missed that in the rule book. Thanks for pointing it out.

Great playthrough as always. Thank you!
A Sir Topham Hat AND a Paula Abdul reference in a board game playthrough!?!? Well played sir.

The double draw and discard auxiliary action absolutely allows one to draw two then discard two. See rule book page 13.
Great video. Was finally able to order this today. Can you tell me the dimensions of the board?
57x57 cm
22,5 x 22,5 inches
Eirik Farmen thank you. Very helpful.
Great job guys ty!!

51:20 You didn't pay your forward placement!
F shorted herself 3 points in counting her cows. Should have been 18 points there.
