Looks like a great trip. My rule for riding partners is the same for wedding invitations. Anyone who complains they didn’t get an invite is not the type of person you want to be there.
The taking a chair debate! Tried the sitting on a log thing, after a hard day riding, nah , tried the 3 legged stool , packs away well , another version of sitting on a log , have a chair with a back now , perfect , just need that bit of luxury after a day in the saddle! Bit like goldilocks and the 3 bears really🤣, hope your having a terrific trip , cheers.
Yep, do a weekend or 2 tests and then that is all you really need to carry or not... but like everything test even in your backyard or setup items before you need to use them when out and about. Some like to carry the kitchen sink and others are minimalist mountain hikers, not a gram to spare. Same when packing items things you will use during the day up top, and campsite down the bottom.

I was up in broken hill last month and silverton. To see the filming location you go past silverton and to the reservoir. Do the little loop as as you come back around there is a little lookout. Stop there and with a good zoom lense you can see and take photos of the preproduction tents. They look like circus tents. The lookout I am talking about is NOT the Mundi Mundi lookout. Stop there to. But you won’t see the tents. Just after the MM lookout is the corner of the big truck crash site from mad max 2. They were also putting up signs for road closures for filming when I was there. So check to see if the roads are open. Also pre book accommodation as several travelers and me had trouble finding a room and others had trouble finding a camp site at the CV parks.
Good information. Just a little tip. Check out Mosko Moto on how to use the straps of the side bags of the Reckless. You've done them wrong. Safe travels!!!!

Goodday you may need to re thing taking the in land roads from Townsville down. just came dawn from there we had been warned of taking then mass foobar in that area from the rains ride safe
Mate I use a Knox unban 2 , it’s abrasion and impact resistant so fantastic for road and off road under armour “ please check it out “ UK 🇬🇧 made item . They are just no good on wet asphalt as they don’t have silicone in them like the Motoz Rallz - but obviously because of this doesn’t last as long .
You're using the mosko straps incorrectly. There's lots of directions on their site how to use them properly. They will strap down much tighter and more secure
Eastern aus is populated. We enjoy heading to the outback where there is no one around. Will be riding the eastcoast during our current trip. Western Australia is a long way away for us. Takes a special trip to get there.

What gear does the wr250r carry for the trip?
