"Some architecture, designers try to fill it with things, yet it feels empty. Here, we left the space empty, yet it feels full. I feel like maybe it's because the people who come fill it with their presence."
Damn. It hit my feels like a brick wall. Beautiful production, soulful narration, and incredible space.
Wow, that's profound! It's amazing how leaving space can make it feel so full.
Just like a film 😌
This almost brought me to tears, so beautiful. The visuals, the music, the narration. Like a movie. Such a calming feeling and a great escape from the crowded and chaotic city of Manila. Bravo!
It hit me in a very profound way as well. Amazing architecture and production value ❤
It's like a cinematic escape, isn't it? So beautifully done. Bravo indeed!
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
I love how serene this is. The bamboo forest is just so inviting and peaceful and just looking out into such a view gives me joy❤ What a unique way of showcasing design in a commercial space
The bamboo forest view is so serene and inviting. Such a unique design for a commercial space! 😊
This was mesmerising - a beautifully realised project. The bamboo forest was like a gateway to another time and place, and those large panoramic windows provided a super widescreen frame to allow a cinematic glimpse of the forest beyond and the 'characters' passing through it.
The whole space was the perfect way to allow cineastes to enter a world of the imagination and declutter their minds and senses from the noises and stresses of the big city - all just a few steps, but a million miles away... Perfect.
Mesmerizing indeed! The bamboo forest creates a captivating gateway to another world, perfectly framed by those panoramic windows.
That window view of the bamboo garden and the aspect ratio was just simply stunning ❤
So true 💯 such a wonderful and calming view
I nearly got lost when I first visited here so the designers wanting it to disappear did their job well. 😂 The "imperfections" and gardens made it very, very homey and peaceful. It's a cinema but it really feels like going to your grandmother's house for a family gathering. Incredible design. One of the hidden gems of the metro imho.
Truly an incredible design and a hidden gem in Metro Manila! 😊
love that Sinepop got featured, it is really a gorgeous space, my wife and I were the first ones to shoot our prenup shoot here :)
The photos must've looked amazing! 🤩
I love the contraction and expansion of space. You walk through these darkened hallways and then boom! The space explosion is before you with light and space! Thank you for protecting the integrity of the old house - those exposed nails and imperfect concrete finish are proof that old can fuse with the new. The bamboo garden is the highlight. And Mama Mary in the bamboo grotto is chef’s kiss. 😊
So much sensitivity went into this design. Well done to the architects and thank you Stacked Homes for sharing it here 😃
Well done to the architects indeed 😊 Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
A fascinating space that encourages perception, introspection and reflection through film and its bamboo forest. It is Filipino by design yet could relate well with Chinese, Japanese or any other serene oriental aesthetic.
Well the Philippines is in Asia, so the Asian culture really shows 😊
Would you believe I've lived in Manila most of my life but never knew such a place existed until I saw this video. ❤
Isn't it amazing how there are hidden gems waiting to be discovered, even in places we call home? 😊
Wow! Is it open for public? Where is this pls.
Where is this pls.? Is it open for public? For how much? Is there a coffee shop inside? ❤
Same. I badly want to visit!
So glad to see SinePop on this channel!
Exciting, right? 😊
This was a lovely video to watch both because of the topic and the artistry that went into the design of this space and the choices made, but also because of the production values and choices made in creating the video - the background tonal music, the space itself, the angles and lighting choices - all are exquisite.
Totally! I actually got goosebumps watching it. Beautiful.
The attention to detail in both the space and the video production is truly exquisite.
Thank you for your kind words. Hope the video brings a certain calmness to you 😊
This video deserves more views. Didn't expect Stacked to create a cinematic masterpiece and an amazing architecture out of Singapore! Please do more of such videos.
Thank you for the kind words! We're thrilled you enjoyed it. Stay tuned for more cinematic gems!
Thks
Can't believe this is in Manila. Love this place...and his narration too
Such a hidden gem 🙌
This is the most beautiful cinema I've ever seen. Would love to visit one day.
Hope you get to visit one day 😊
Finally, a long version. The first montage-story of this building I watched was from Uncommon.
They inspired us 😊
Less is more. In an elevated way, the context of this universally-applicable facility perfectly screens any film or genre.
Beautiful. Felt transported just watching the video. Had to watch it 3 times. Hope to visit soon.
Glad you enjoyed it!
My type of place. Sana kahit sumikat ito or makilala nde pa rin dumugin ng tao na parang palengke kase mawawala yung calm and peace
I think the place is designed Brillant ! I enjoyed the video 😊
What an artist. ❤
A true artist at work. ❤️

So true! The place is so relaxing and peaceful even through a screen 😊
We didn't want to standout. We want to disappear. Beautiful space. 🙏
The space truly feels like a peaceful retreat. 🙏
love how everything is done with passion and intention ❤
The passion shines through in every detail. 😊
A marvelous achievement
A marvelous achievement, no doubt.
Wow! Where in Manila is this? I would like to visit. The architecture reminds me of Tadao Ando’s.
Simplicity intersects with the profound, even a sense of the Divine. You're amazing!
A perfect blend of elegance and depth. Well done! 😊
Great video Stacked!!! Congrats to the architect. Just want to know what type of bamboo highlighted in this video. Thanks
Beautiful space! ❤

Beautifull & clean Architecture House in Manila,Filipino.
The architecture is clean and beautiful, truly a masterpiece. 😊
Justin Guiab and Jondi de Guzman created a genuine one of a kind new architecture that is original to perfection and functional to the soul and eyes of its visitors to bring calmness and relaxion to the movie show event and brings many original ideas to solve allot of elements of design. When I lived in the Philippines i was always struck by the beauty of bamboo furniture and natural trees and plants of this great archipelago and stayed in a bamboo nipa hut on a raised pier foundation and found it the coolest house I stayed in while there. Sir you have really created a new design that will be mimicked in future building I am sure.
They've truly crafted something special. It's inspiring to see how their unique approach captures both function and tranquility.
Stunning!
Thank you! 😊
good vibes and feel relax and happy emotion spaces.
Such happy and calm energy in this space!
this architect is eccentric but eccentric produces genius. i enjoyed watching this because it makes me think twice about our current value systems not necessarily the best. low key, simplicity, humility and under stated versus loud and grandstanding
It's refreshing to see a blend of eccentricity and genius shaping architecture with such depth and meaning. 😊
This is one of the coolest thing ever! ✨✨
Glad you think so! It's pretty awesome, right?
Where to buy bamboo
Absolutely drop dead gorgeous. Is the video team from Manila? Would love to work with them in the future. 😊
Thanks! Our Stacked team flew to Manila to shoot this masterpiece 😊
Very inspirational! I wanted to create a similar space, even if it's very small, in our own community - a place where visitors will leave feeling more at peace. ✌
That's a wonderful idea! Creating a peaceful space for your community is truly inspiring. 🙌
Wow I love the place very serene and comfortable to relax 😊
Absolutely serene and cozy! 😊

Wow, indeed! 😊
Awesomeness!!

That would be epic!
Or from the loud sound of the movie, from the residents
it is such a great work im amazed ! do you guys work outside of Asia ? Like Europe ?
Hey there! Thanks so much for the support. We are based in Singapore but we do travel around the region to document beautifully designed homes!
@@StackedHomes OMG I'm so happy to hear that because I live in Paris and I'm looking for a new apartment that I'll renovate to make me feel at home. What's for sure is that once I find it, I'll call on you because your renovations combine everything I love. On top of that, you seem to be very attentive to customers' needs - you're perfect!
Hi Stacked. Can I know who is the one directed this episode? Is it the same guy who directed ar.justin house?
Can anyone pass me the contact plz 😢😢
Homely feel of a theatre
Exactly! It's like having the cozy feel of home combined with the grandeur of a theatre.
That’s my ahia!!!
That's awesome! 🙌 Glad we got to feature your ahia 😊
Wow!
I know! Stunning architecture 😊
Do u have a gate, or this areas an open space their are plenty of tügs in m4nila
Is it air-conditioned?
Mas impressive naman nito kesa sa CCP! Yang CCP bagay talaga ang pangalan kasi napaka communistic ang ichura, isang malaking kongkreto na dapat i-demolish.
I’m not really into modernist approach or minimalism pero this team did a great job in terms of budget. Yes it’s a Japanese inspired and “Parasite” film concept but the venue seems more alluring than the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP…not the one in Beijing).
Heaven on earth.
Absolutely heavenly!
solid
Solid indeed! 💯
How big is the lot?
750 sqm
Grandeur in its simplicity!
Absolutely! It's a jaw-dropper. 👌
Never underestimate the bamboo. Any big cracks on the public will give its chance to emerge.
What kind of bamboo is this?
pole bamboo
I wish its more of directors seat..
That would be cool 💯
❤❤❤
😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
yung mga upuan niyo sira sira na
evol everything about this place. 🤍
evol it as well 🙌
I love the contraction and expansion of space. You walk through these darkened hallways and then boom! The space explosion is before you with light and space! Thank you for protecting the integrity of the old house - those exposed nails and concrete are proof that old can fuse with the new. The bamboo garden is the highlight. And Mama Mary in the bamboo grotto is chef’s kiss
Absolutely! The contrast is stunning, and the bamboo garden is pure magic.
I love the intentionality and thoughtfulness imbued in designing and building the structure. Kudos to the architects as well as Stacked for doing a marvelous job: visuals, soundtrack and tone. Bravo!
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
I love this place!!! It provide peace, privacy, and comfort. Despite it has a lot of concrete, the bamboos balance it out. I wish I have a money a house and lot and create/design a place like this.
It's truly a gem! Peace, privacy, and comfort all in one
My new favorite episode! 🙌🏽
New favorite for sure! 🙌
Amazing. Didn't realise this video was 10 minutes long. it's so beautifully done. Im so mesmerised with his narration. This can't be scripted!
*his hair looks cute too ❤
The narration and presentation are just mesmerizing. 😊
what a feat! and love how poetic his words were as well as how the bamboo forest and fallen tree trunk being framed like that looked like an actual movie. nakakaproud!
Truly impressive! His narration and the cinematic framing of the bamboo forest are just breathtaking.
The window to the bamboo forest is like a set piece!
Totally! It adds such a cinematic touch to the space.
He's the same architect with the beautiful Palawn home 😍
Great find Stacked; thanks for showcasing SEA architecture.
Great find indeed, so much hidden gems in SEA 😊
Watching this video alone achieved what the space was aiming for!
That's the mark of a truly impactful design!
❤
Wonderful, Love It, Like being in a Movie, So Beautiful True Architecture
It feels like stepping into a movie, such beautiful architecture.
Anong pong type ng bamboo tinanim dto?
Simple yet beautiful cinema.... Hope to visit one day
Simple elegance at its finest! Hope you get to experience it in person someday. 😊
It’s like a bare-to-the-bones movie.😲
Stripped down and captivating 😊
This is beautiful. I would love to see this venue first hand.
i love it!!!!!!!!
puro western pinapanuod ko may sariling atin din pala btw ang ganda ng design more on brutalist but with a touch of botanical architecture.
Glad you found local architecture 😊
Well made - aesthetic and practical. But too many explanations make the video feel pretentious.
Well, it's a feature, expect smart yapping.
LOVELY!
Thank you 😊
That panoramic window is so calming, I can see myself staring at it for hours
So true, it's like you're already watching a movie 😁
i still remember the night we first went here, i was so mesmerized by the whole place. i came expecting to see a film i made the music to but i was so captivated by the beauty of the place, i had to stay a little longer. i left the place with both my film enthusiast and architecture student self appeased.
Glad you felt that way and you were able to see it in person! Such a nice experience 😊
What a great space. Love the bamboo forrest. And that shot at 3:22 was gorgeous.
Thank you! Glad you loved everything 😊
Ganda 😍
