This would be my ideal apartment. The layout is slightly quirky but classic in design. It has an almost art-deco feel. I like how the furniture in the lounge area was centered in the room rather than facing a wall /TV.

This is beautiful! Really love the aesthetics of colonial homes. I especially like how they have preserved the historical design elements of the apartment, namely the scallop-shaped breeze blocks and kopitiam mosaics. Rare one of my favourites in the home channels that I've watched.
I lived in Singapore between 1974 and 1984 and I miss the many beautiful old houses and apartments. The tiles are very beautiful. We had them also in the places WE lived. I see a lot of things in this apartment and hope that it can stay like this for a long time. It's a shame that they're tearing down the old things to make way for super modern ones.
The reno respects the historical escence of the building. It's really beautiful!. It's a shame the presenter did not speak in Singapurean, taking into account that the subtitles option is available.
Absolutely charming and restful. Its a little sad to note that what once was just ordinary middle class living is now only accessible to the very rich. I loved the respectful modernization, especially the black electrical conduits and switch boxes. Only thing I found a little jarring was the blue wall and red bedside furniture in the bedroom.
Why did the previous homeowners want to sell? Such a valuable asset that holds a treasure trove of memories. A home that exudes both happiness and sadness. What a gem!
